Luques started doing it. Can finish it all as last year, waiting for some more info but they should arrive a bit before than last year.

Re: Giro 2016
@Luques : Stage 19. There is no flat km at the top of the Agnello, you must adjust this.
And km by km, the slope is more regular than what you proposed, even if it's true that there are part of 300-500m with 12-14%
Here's a hint for km/km :
. For a more detail graph, the one on Giro website is not bad.

Hi Ol, about the +2 you are true, forgot it, the idea was to cover the 300m more of the hill, but it has much more sense to make the last km a bit more steep and put the GPM one km before.olmania wrote:@Luques : Stage 19. There is no flat km at the top of the Agnello, you must adjust this.

For % I followed in general precisely the graph on Giro website, but probably there is a mistake there.
Excluding the last 250m, we have.
10(9.6% and 10.4%)- 11(11% and 10.6%)- 8(7.6 and 8.8%) - 12(11.4% and 11.6%) - 8(9% and 7.8%)- 10
The rest before instead is pretty uniform as in the other graph.
Open to changes anyway, it can be that Giro web site maybe isn't so correct ( I wouldn't bet a cent on RCS), but that actually is the reason (I mean I don't invent %

About the last 250m, you have several options :luques wrote:Hi Ol, about the +2 you are true, forgot it, the idea was to cover the 300m more of the hill, but it has much more sense to make the last km a bit more steep and put the GPM one km before.olmania wrote:@Luques : Stage 19. - skip it and don't make it as a "full" km
- report it at the bottom of the climb instead of the top (with that flatish unreal km)
- Make it full at it's real % (8-9%?), but then it means you'd need to add an extra DH km for compensation ?
- Leave it full, less steep than it is (2% now, more later), anyway the worse option imo.
Maybe more options are possible.
Just make the choice that seems to be the "less bad" to you

ps : For info the last 100m are probably a bit less steep (6-7%), but that's it. in total the last 250m should be around 8% average imo.

Re: Giro 2016
I didn't really follow the discuss, but I see no reason to have a 2% when their is no part under 7-8% at all. If the importance take by this 250m start to be too high compare what it should be, just skip it. Anyway praise Taiga.

Re: Giro 2016
I just notice stage 5 is wrong, only 225 km instead of 233, and the last km is 3% with pavé (I guess 1*) (in fact there's 2 pass to the finish line) http://www.giroditalia.it/it/tappa/tappa-5/ (click on arrivo)
Still time to correct it
EDIT : the pavé are not hard at all, no need for pavé in RSF (via Corso Garibaldi on GG maps)
EDIT 2 : stage 11 the finish at Asolo, there's a 600m pavé section which for me deserve 1* in the 6%

For stage 11, it is 500m. Have you some google Maps of that pavè? Because as far as I can see and I know, the pavè there, is just sampietrini and they look pretty compact and little too.sylvainmeteo wrote:I just notice stage 5 is wrong, only 225 km instead of 233, and the last km is 3% with pavé (I guess 1*) (in fact there's 2 pass to the finish line) http://www.giroditalia.it/it/tappa/tappa-5/ (click on arrivo)

Actually I don't think that 500m of that things deserve a 1*, don't know what pavè experts think, open to any modifications anyway.

Re: Giro 2016
at the end (via browning), the pave looks a bit more irregular than at the start (end of the hill), but well do as you want, I just notice this in case that the designer didn't see or forgot itluques wrote:For stage 11, it is 500m. Re: Giro 2016
Hum FRench Eurosport talk about a second Strade Bianche stage. Honestly I don't know where, but they maybe talk about stage 18 and the final in Pinerolo.
Quote from Gazzetta : "After reaching Pinerolo (and clearing Colletta di Cumiana), the route takes a first pass over the finish line, climbs up the steep Via dei Principi d’Acaja stretch, tackles the Pramartino climb and goes back to Pinerolo. 2,500 m before the finish, the route turns left and climbs up Via Principi d’Acaja (average 14% gradient and peaks of 20%, on setts-paved and narrow road). Next is a steep and harsh descent leading into Pinerolo. The last 1,500 m run on level roads, with just a few bends and a short stretch on stone-slab paving."
Checking pave, I am not really use of this kind of pave, but It deserve a 1* at least I least. It deserves to be steeper too. And the first passage of that hill should probably be redraw

As for Pavè I don't know, in Italy in cities I never saw the pavè that you have in PR for example, it doesn't exist.Pokemon Club wrote:Hum FRench Eurosport talk about a second Strade Bianche stage. Honestly I don't know where, but they maybe talk about stage 18 and the final in Pinerolo.

We have some kind of roads like this Via dei Principi d’Acaja, where you don't really bounce on the road as on pavè. The only variable there is the road damage due to the time and weather, so it can become a bit more difficult. I would give max 2*, but wait to see what other thinks too.
As for the hill, first time they take it I will redraw it (with pavè if necessary), then it is a 14% for 450m, from 375 to 445m, thought that in a km a +7 would have been ok.
