Thanks Gip for opening the discussion, I expected this month will be lot of discussion, nice to see the participation.

1. Poland: Why is it Cat 3? In real world it has the same classification as Romandie, Suisse, P-N, T-A etc. which all are Cat 4s. And now its the same cat as Burgos which imo doesnt make sense.

2. Vuelta: We didnt have a 8h GT edition so far, so it could be an option ofc. but for me as morning/afternoon guy 8h will always be too early, especially for 23days. That means I would be forced to the afternoon, I think this could be the same for other people riding in the morning, but I dont wanna speak for them.

So seeing Hansas suggestions, this would probably kill Vuelta for me having no afternoon GT.

The afternoon is still running a boycot Vuelta campaign, we could move the evening earlier and cut the afternoon too. an edition like 17H no clue if that makes sense so.

8-17-20-22 f.e.
Vuelta in the afternoon last year had more participants than the morning (12 in total), so I think its not that unpopular?. If you think about cutting the afternoon, then the morning should move to 10h at least. Even if the afternoon is not cut, I would prefer at least 9h for a GT. But morning guys feel free to comment here.

I could also live with a 13h edition for the afternoon btw, I kinda like the idea. Benelux and Deutschland currently also only have 1 morning + 1 afternoon option (only Benelux btw), so Im against cutting one of the Vuelta editions there.

3. Tours in general: August has plenty of tours, I mostly feared the need to design so many tours for only 1-2 editions but it looks like that wont be the problem. Easiest would have been to cut some editions, Burgos f.e. - but now its designed and its actually a 2.Pro tour so why not.

5 editions parallel is no problem in my opinion, we had that multiple times (march T-A + P-N etc.) and due to the Tiktok wave we have some more teams playing right now. So for sure not cut an edition here, but add one?

-> Portugal: I do think 2 editions can make sense here, because a 12day tour can be quite interesting for many people + we have a lot of portuguese teams that really wanna ride that tour. But 20h might be too early for them? Its 19h then for them, so maybe just go for 22h again like last year as Alpacas suggested, or 21h.

-> Burgos/Poland: Burgos and Poland both should stick to at least 2 editions, Id even prefered 3 editions for Poland cause I think its more important than the others, see 2.UWT category (and then cut 1 Burgos), but 2-2 is okayish I guess.

If we stick for 8h Burgos, 10h Portugal could make sense cause it attracts some more morning teams I guess, and burgos is only 1 day on the weekend. This would be the only option in my opinion to have 2 parallel morning tours.

-> Czech/Norway: I think 4 editions for them is okay, like Burgos/Poland, its both 2.Pro tours and they are quite short. Not a fan of 11h cause 2 stages would be during the week, which interferes with lunch etc. I think 10h is okay too, or 9h maybe if we go for 10h Portugal and dont wanna double here.

-> Benelux/Deutschland: Tough one, Benelux tour not unimportant (2.UWT) so 3 editions make sense, Deutschland good to include it here as we have lot of german managers and we didnt have it last years it seems. But with Vuelta parallel we cant have 10 editions parallel, especially when it seems like we wont have a big hype/advertising going on at the moment. Even if we cut one Vuelta edition, we shouldnt have 5 tours parallel.

See what happens at TDF this month, we had 2 editions each of Sibiu and Austria (this was maybe a bit too low in flexibility of riding at different times for non tdf teams) but we only had 20 teams in total each riding sibiu and austria. The one day races races had 7-10 teams each on average. If we increase the number of parallel tours by 2 this is already a stretch, I dont see it higher.

I think we def should have the discussion about the amount of vuelta editions first, if we can agree on 4 editions, this would open up some room for the rest of the calendar planning late August.

I wish to avoid the problem we are having in July, after the 8/07 there are no tours for no one, and only tour is Lippe at h20:00. So in the end if we have survived july with no tours we will survive agoust with 3 parallel tours with no problems!

I would avoid to cut portugal becouse is the only one with IT norway/czech? maybe, but why?
I think is better to have room for everyone than be super closemind on time/hours. (Told the same about Lippe tour, just 1 edition h20 is crazy for me, a lot of new teams plays at h14 - 18 - 22 and probably that players can't play at h20:00, we already are close to the american market because of that, why not allow a race at 2Am as test?

There were multiple people here trying to get more lippe editions (also not for div 6 only), but it was decided against it. So im with you in that regard, 2-3 weeks of fantasy one day races is no fun. And Lippe would have been the perfect filler as it also has very interesting and diverse profiles.

We still should keep an eye on how many parallel editions we can afford in August to have reasonable participation.

I'm against offering fantasy tours in the regular calendar.
We have plenty of tours and options already (see August).
That should be enough.

Hi, i have made the Norway tour.

Tell me if anything is wrong, thats the first time i have do that ...
Thank you.

Some comments on optics, gravel and KOM
- Stage 3 and 4 you are missing the Norwegian flags.
- Some of the labels (cities/mountains) can't be read. You could shorten or reposition to make it readable.
- You have the gravel sectors as *, which is fine, but where they are longer than 3km, the 'standard' design is probably to change to ** from the 4th km to make them a bit more selective. But of course it depends. If you have any information about the gravel quality, then that could also drive the decision between * and **.
- The KOM categories seem to be HC, 1 and 2. For this kind of race, without checking their rulebook, in-game that would probably correspond more to 2, 3 and 4, i.e. HC becomes 2, 1 becomes 3 and 2 becomes 4. This is in terms of prize money and points.
Hi, i've done some change. Normaly it's better now

Noch ein Nachtrag zu Czech und Norway Tour, beide sind gerade Cat. 2 ingame, in der PDF ist Norway Cat. 3. IRL sind beide Touren in der UCI ProSeries, Cat3 sollte es für beide dann schon sein..

Can we please return to naming stages of tours as (tourname) (stage):(start)-(finish)

If portugal were H 22 I would prefere to race that, but I also can enjoy to ride Pologne H22 with Time trial the 9th and another fantasy Time trial the 10th..

But in my personal scenario I think I would enjoy more playing portugal h22 + postponed ITT (covering a sprint stage day and not an hilly one 26th for example is a boring day if you haven't a sprinter)

San Sebastian is already on Saturday. While most of the race looks very much identical to last year's, the start is different. Not much design work, but I am not sure I can do it, so I would prefer it if somebody else volunteers.

Speaking of volunteers, has anybody offered to do Portugal yet? Preferably somebody who wants to ride it. Benelux, at least I have not found detailed information. There will be one pave stage, but I doubt they do any new hills.

Final PDF from Gip in Holiday mood so morning gets what they asked for, even though would really help if more morning people spoke up. As a consequence some rejigging of times. Hopefully everyone happy and if it's too many tours, will have to adjust going forward.

Fantastic, escalation of the war on 15h, now even Arctic was moved to 14h. That's why maybe an update between the first preview and the final PDF would make sense, if Gipfel doesn't see this is idiotic, others would and might at least point it out. So for no compelling reason all stage races that aren't parallel to the Vuelta now are at 14h in the afternoon. Parallel Benelux the only 15h stage race. Also of course the 2 cat 5 1 day races that aren't parallel to the Vuelta are at .... 14h. With Plouay the parallel one at 15h. I guess that's a positive :?:

Hi, i'm currently making Renewi Tour (Benelux Tour). What about the "Super8 flandrien sprint" ? They use it like a "combativity award" ..but in RSF, do i put a intermediate sprint or just nothing ?

I think the Idea is to have 1 tour every 4 hours 10 - 14 - 18 - 22 but Is understandable that someone have time only between that times, (ex: I can't race at h20 but I can at h21) so maybe having a bit of difference in the afternoon should be great too ..
I just don't get what the Vuelta has to do whit, I understand that you hate Vuelta but there are literaly just 2 stages paralel to that

Btw thinking about solutions seems that moving Norway back from h14 to h15 would be good, for the forum users at least.

P.S. Calendar is wrong on 24th there are 2 one day stages  :D

P.P.S. I don't know if the IT on the 10th is there for a reason or is just a randomic set, but I belive that portugal tour players would apreciate to ride it as well so maybe switch to the 18th can be fine (+ cover one of the 11 sprint stages for non sprinter team instead of the classic one)

not sure, but some of these special sprint stuff is to put in 3 (or 2) IS in 3 (or 2?) consecutive km. Or just do a simple IS. After all it is just Benelux

I think we have to work on they way things are done here. Some of the things came completely surprising for me despite half following the discussion. We now have Poland and Norway at 22h. Norway never was discussed but is a victim of lower ranking Portugal. We had a few people speak out about less tour (edition), but now we have have a second Portugal that is 8 days longer compared to the removed edition. Early evening has nearly nothing.

I am not arguing for an even later change, but for better coordination in the future. Some forced feedback after the month would be nice. So we decided to add a tour, how was the participation? Were crazy amount of money earned in those tours? I think we should collect some ideas there.

I think we have time until February to get something better. It is only a couple of months with many parallel tours in the real calendar.

So, sorry for the rant, I am allowed to have as a citizen of my adopted home city. I hope something comes about it, even if I am not yet sure what.
