Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2025
The End in Brazil is something special. But before its okay to ride at some other regions then the other years and some other profiles are nice too. So i like this version.
We have a new Designer and a new profile, new mountains. So the two last Races are okay. Of Course the end is nicer to be in the Andes. With Start at Copacabana and then going to the Andes sound more realistic and nice in my opinion, but its the Desginers Choice.

It's not my first time designing the Andes, I've done it before!schappy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 6:08 pmThe End in Brazil is something special. But before its okay to ride at some other regions then the other years and some other profiles are nice too. So i like this version.

Grand tours in real life have been using other countries as part of their route in the recent years, so I thought it's a good idea to do that with our offseason grand tour aswell. And since we don't really have a precise finish every year (like Paris in TdF for example) ending in a famous place like Brazil is okayish, will only help make the tour more popular!

Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2025
I like this version. Only question I have is the Alpaca one - how about a TTT with 3 or 4 riders, does it even work?
Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2025
Don't really want a TTT with 3 or 4 riders tbh. I forgot that teams tend to lose plenty of riders during the Andes, so I might have to switch the TT's, first team timetrial then the individual one on the last stage.Chemnitz Pro Cycling Team wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 8:11 pmhow about a TTT with 3 or 4 riders, does it even work?
Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2025
First TTT, later ITT sounds better. We had one Andes edition with a TTT on the last day, and there were teams with less than five riders, one "team" even with only one rider. And actually, I think I heard of an UCI rule in real races (practically mainly GTs) which defines a latest allowed stage for TTTs.cataracs wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 8:39 pmDon't really want a TTT with 3 or 4 riders tbh. Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2025
But making stage 4 a TTT would mean a lot riders will be out the next 2 days imo. Switching it to stage 1 could be a good solution and than continue in the planned order, but it would mean a strange transfer after the TTT.
Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2025
Yes and it will still happen, but you don’t have to force it with the TTT on stage 4 followed by 2 extremly hard stages 5 & 6.
…and just to mention, all in all I really like the design.

Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2025
I would definitely prefer having the start in Brazil and a rest day after the TTT.
With how difficult the first 3 days already are now, a TTT on stage 4 forces GC teams to pretty much not ride at all for the first days to have a decently fit team for the TTT. And with how energy in TTTs works at the moment you really need to keep everyone together or the ones getting dropped early can go home the next day.
Having the TTT very early in my opinion promotes more fun riding

I actually like the design, except for the TTT on the last day the tour looks good.
Also starting in Brazil as part of the Grand Depart would have made more sense in my opinion, a Tour starting in some other place happens espacially for GTs, it ending somewhere else is rather unusual. That also would put the TTT on stage 1 or 2 i think that would fit better.
Maybe you can play with the order there a bit

Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2025
After reading some convincing suggestions I updated the order of some races. So now we start in Brazil with the TTT, then the cobbles stage to punish the teams that kill their helpers. Colombia the second week, then ends in Venezuela with the Queen stage on the final day.
But the editor looks weird, badly needs to be updated in my opinion...
