Vuelta:
Naming: Is wrong. It's not "Stage 1: Torino - Reggia di Venaria > Novara"
The name of what stage race this is part of has to be in. The designer here still hasn't figured out that the name of the stage race has to be there? Please....
Mintact: Is horrible, Can someone tell me what the point of the 8 km mintact on stage 4 is? Why does anybody need mintact there? Nobody seems able to explain that, let's just put it there mindlessly.

Basics reform: Give blue a chance!
Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!
Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Re: August 2025
Actually quite a bit is not really perfect at the Vuelta.
I think you should do a stage by stage review, including lengths and climbs...
Of course you might have gotten this feedback earlier if you had posted the designs in the forum.....

What exactly did you check here? Profile not even close to the real race.

Seems more than anyone else because I went on their Website to design it. But seems too early as they changed it later. Noone else checked. Noone else commented. Voila. Then no need to complain about fantasy race if noone cares until race day.Hansa wrote: ↑Sun Aug 17, 2025 4:06 pmhttps://www.cyclassics-hamburg.de/de/elite/strecke

If its marked as checked its very unlikely someone else checks again espacially if its not asked by it for the designer.Gipfelstuermer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 17, 2025 4:58 pm

Green kms still missing. and maybe some changes, especially in the last stage circuit.olmania wrote: ↑Tue Aug 12, 2025 3:07 pmRenewi tour, quick review :
In the road book, there is a "CP Superflandien8" classification, with 2 each stage. it's a quite complex classfication; we could translate it to IS for more interesting things to happen in game; but would not be super accurate ofc. ignoring it is good as well.
stage 1 : there is a cobble section km61. I'd say ** according to street view. Green km, 3 sprints in a row, km 157.
stage 2 : green km with 3 IS is km153. almost 500 of D+ irl, only 150m in RSF. plenty of tiny climbs, not worth any sieb; but maybe a 2 or even a 3% here and there. 4 laps of circuits IRL, I see clearly on the graph only 2 in rsf.
stage 3 : final circuit could be a little more hilly. I am not an expert of the cobble climbs; but most of them already ridden in spring classics, right ? Are they all only * there ? Need a check or two about that. also maybe an opinion about a specialist of designing these climbs. green km with 3 IS km153.
stage 4 : half of d+ "missing in c4f". last km as a 3% is ok even if 2% also good. green km w 3 is km142
stage 5 : again lots of d+ "missing". climbs are very short, so it's 2-3% in tour final circuit. it would not shock me if there were some 4-5%. 3climbs in a row in final circuit, maybe 3% 4% and 2%; or even 4% 5% and 3%; cause IRL it's probably going to be a hard race there, for strong riders on small roads with lots of ups and down; and probably not an easy MS. km28, km57, km 87, km116, could be a 6%. green km missing km163.
As designed now, in RSF, it's 4 MS possible (quite easily). IRL, I guess it's going to be 2-3 (depending on the wind on stage one); and race pace on stage 4.
Re: August 2025
Funny about Hamburg....
It's not Gipfel's fault! But everybody else's! And mentioning that the parcours was wrong is bad, and of course it will not help in the least for next year either. It's shut up and praise Gipfel!!! He is faultless after all.
Of course it's not actually a huge problem anyway, after all it's just Hamburg, a shit race that is only known because it's in the World Tour so that Germany has one there. Few riders really care, prestige wise it's at most cat 3.... And even if it was more important, mistakes happen, not a big deal. More of that hill it seems, how much would it have changed how the race is ridden at c4f? No idea. But happens. It becomes somehow tragic when then the designer instead of simply accepting that he did it wrong, goes on a campaign telling those that realized it's wrong (I for example wouldn't have, don't care enough, plus had a headache at 10:25 and only woke up again at 14:31 so didn't even ride it) that they should shut up. That's the best way of getting more participation around here I heard! More designers, more people help checking, dismiss everything as "complain and do nothing". Oh, calling it "fantasy race" is unfriendly, more polite way of telling it would be welcome. Please, what are we here, a Knigge-club? If we are, then we should strive to write "voilà" correctly of course.
That was just an introduction to lighten up the mood btw, I'm really here to talk about the Vuelta again.
Naming now perfect, thank you!
I didn't check everything (after all it's pointless, I'll be just told not to write here but to design the stages again myself, to have 2 or more to choose from, a slightly less than brilliant proposal) but: Some stage lengths are wrong, stage 4+5 for example. Think they changed later, TTT is now 24km long. Stage 4 takes a longish detour going to the finish. On la Flamme rouge below the profile in comments there is a guy who wrote where it now goes through and has a link to his stage, where the finish is a bit fucked up, but just checking that by hand should work. On time schedule on the Vuelta site would be possible to find out where the stage goes through as well, place names are written. And yes, the Vuelta site is rather catastrophic, few informations, no profiles for the climbs etc., Giro gives much better info.
Finish in Andorra according to Altimetrias.net doesn't have a km at 3%.. more regular. Ah no, was a different site: https://www.1001puertos.com/2014/11/alt ... e-pal.html
Or do a short check with plotaroute or another similar site.
Cerler, stage 7 the same, the last climb doesn't seem to be as it should be. For one we seem to finish at over 2000, should be at 1900. And it's one of those difficult to design climbs with 2 short downhills in it. Found that on altimetrias.net last week, different name, but found under Cerler... ok ok, look for it again. https://www.altimetrias.net/aspbk/verPu ... asp?id=699
Can be done differently with the downhills of course...
Didn't check further but suspect similar issues later in the race.
I continue with my complaining and do nothing!

Re: August 2025
No need for praise obviously but design support would be great, so that players don't have to ride crappy fantasy races designed by me all the time.
Hansa knows that by the way and he designed races for September already.

Thanks fo your critic. I am right now searching for other sites, where I find some info and try to redesign length, climbs, and finishes based on theseRobyklebt wrote: ↑Mon Aug 18, 2025 6:15 am
