Re: August 2023
A few comments on the first draft:
World Championships: We will not yet have the old style world championships with managers selecting a nation and riding for that nation. (Has not been a priority because it is a lot of work for 1 race per year.) But we can have the races as a normal race. I suggest to have only one edition, 15h for the road race and 21h for the ITT, and then hand out a rainbow jersey. 15h because on weekends the afternoon is very strong and 21h because on weekdays the evening is very strong. But we can also have more editions and no jersey in that case, like last year where we had 9-15-20 for the road race and 11-18 for the ITT, and no jersey.
Burgos || Arctic || Portugal: Portugal losing out so far because it's lower UCI category, it's 2 weeks, so quite long for a race between TDF and Vuelta, and we have noone designing it so far (Bright wanted to but thinks he has not enough time). Then Burgos 3 editions and Arctic 2 editions because Arctic is parallel to the Hamburg Cyclassics. All of that can be changed if there are good arguments.
Vuelta || Benelux || Deutschland: Deutschland losing out so far because it's parallel to these two UCI World Tour races. Can be changed if many people request it, even though Benelux as World Tour race is hard to remove, so actually I think it will stay like this without Deutschland Tour, unless somebody has a genius idea.
Vuelta: 4 editions pretty clear. Participation during TDF is great, the best we have seen for more than 3 years, but not big enough to go for 5 editions Vuelta. Better to have 4 quality editions. Then times to mix it up vs what we had in Giro/TDF: 10-15-18-22. Same game as usual: If there is a big majority to change a time, ready to change it.

I would prefer a 9am Vuelta.
Re: August 2023
I would prefer 20H or 19H Vuelta, neither 18h nor 22h really fits my normal weekly schedule

Personally, I prefer 18h or 19h. If it's 20h I'll have to move to 14h/15h with a sitter.

Re: August 2023
I prefer 20h Vuelta to not have Velasco there
Serious part: unsure whether i do Vuelta because of vacation towards the end of it, prefer different time on vacation than when working
18 doesn't fit either way
19 would be fine for work period, not really good but manageable on vacation
20 fine for both
21 bit too late for work period, fine for vacation
22 way too late for work period

Re: August 2023
For Vuelta, 9 instead of 10 and 19 instead of 18 is possible. Those seem to be the most popular times. But! If someone asks for 10 or 18 and guarantees he will ride it, then it will probably be 10/18. Just because those who might prefer the other time would have missed out on Giro and TDF. So just fair so change it around IF someone asks for it. If not, can be changed.

Comments?
I don't care about the WC if it's not ready for a WC format. Whenever, whatever. So no complaint
Circuit Franco Belge? Now it's in September.
Grote Prijs Stad Halle. Cat 2? It's a new race, 1.2 UCI, that's cat 1. But actually seems cancelled.
Vuelta: IF I start I'm all for 15h over 14h. As it is now.
Other things: Can we get back our monthly 2 pavé races? Ok, we have the waffles, but in the end they usually are really more classic races actually, but ok, hilly pavé races often too. So at least one pavé race. No need to put the dates in the calendar, more for AAD. Ok, probably nothing in the new editor yet, at least nothing flat. But remember a nice looking Schappy-race with hills and pavé that would be nice to race as well. Otherwise maybe look to import flat pavé races from the old editor? If there are any left...

Kraftsystemrevision! Include the distance!
Basics reform: Give blue a chance!
Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!
Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Re: August 2023
WC and pave i am absoluty with robyklebt.
But its very hard to find pave section, which are really pave section. The Most pave i know in germany is in a really Good shape for the normal day it has to be cat 1 pave, IF we close 1,5 eyes maybe we can Chose the 2nd cat of pave. More Is Not possible. So, maybe we have to make really „fantasy races“ or we make time travelling.
The waffle races are More mountainbike races if you See the pictures. I can do some time travelling things. I live at the old german border. And in th early 90s we had very much Bad pave roads very close.

Re: August 2023
Circuit Franco Belge. True. Saw somewhere August but turned out to be September. Thanks.
Grote Prijs Stad Halle. Successor of Halle - Ingooigem. Same organisers, just the city of Ingooigem did not give permission. So thought Cat 2. Like other races would also not necessarily be downgraded in-game just because they were downgraded in real life. But ok, if we want to consider it as a new, and also not show the Halle Ingooigem history there, then Cat 1. I'm fine either way. If they ever manage to actually race it, next year maybe

Benelux Tour 2023
"really really extriiiemlie flat" my role model Jens Voigt(best rider ever) would say
some sprints called "Super 8" 1-2-3
other Sprints "Green Sprint" 1-2-3 ... always 3 km in a row, I always did it with a km in between ... otherwise it can't be read in the rsf profile. I'll have to find out what "super 8" and "green" sprints mean when I have more time.
must there be paves somewhere too? no right?

Benelux Tour 2023
ok there are 4 Jerseys - now "Super 8" Sprints and "Green" Sprints (think normal Sprintjersey) make sense. Now we only need to know if the numbers 1 2 3 are categories with different points - but not available yet.

August 2023
Races to be designed:
Scandinavian Race in Uppsala 1909-2023
WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS Road Race
La Vuelta Ciclista a España
Belgian Waffle Ride Utah
Ronde van de Achterhoek
Muur Classic Geraardsbergen
Races to be checked:
La Polynormande
Tour of Leuven - Memorial Jef Scherens
Druivenkoers - Overijse
BEMER Cyclassics
Egmont Cycling Race
Not many changes.
- Grote Prijs Stad Halle and Circuit Franco Belge cancelled/postponed.
- Vuelta 9h and 19h, because noone asked for 10h or 18h. If anybody ever prefers 10h or 18h for a Grand Tours, speak up and I will listen. (Ok, next opportunity for that May 2024.)
Thanks for everyone who already helped with designing!
Regarding Burgos, but also in general: IS/KOM points will only be adjusted for Grand Tours, but of course where possible you can use the correct in-game KOM category and stage category to make it as realistic as possible. Similarly, Jersey colors were only adjusted for World Tour Races initially, but I did it for Austria recently so where possible I will also do it for other stage races. (Please forgive me if I forget it because too busy.)
