The big question of course is the Olympics, is it technically possible to race?

Only one tour parallel to TdF and this one is only for mountain guys (who have the TdF anyway). Isn´t there something hilly or flat to ride in July, as we already did not ride Belgium at June?

Makes little sense to have another tour. Just look at the participation of the 1 day races today, so far 3 races, total of 3 teams. REally 0 parallel tours would have been ok too. Especially since none of the parallel tours are important. 2 is just overkill, how much fun can you expect riding 2 short +/-5 day tours in a 1-5 team group?

Sibiu? Alternative was Settimana Ciclistica Italiana, in Sardegna this year it seems. New race, they plan to have it in different regions each year. The problem, GS Emilia, organizers, they like to be late or lateish with their profiles in general. And as expected the profile is not online yet. So Sibiu, since there the profile is already available.

Would really like to ride Olympics! I mean it is one of the highlights of the season!

1.) Technically it should be possible. But have to accept, that it might only be working on old version, not new version. Since 90%+ players are playing on old version anyway, should be OK. However, I don't know if there was any steps to be done by somebody else than you for the World Championships or Olympics? Just asking as Luques isn't here so frequently.

2.) If there are any extra steps to be done which cannot be done, ok, then we can't ride it with the national teams. But we could still ride it as a "normal" race? Yes, it's not ideal as a normal race, but better than not riding it, I think. In fact, could be interesting to ride it with only one version, just difficult to agree on the timing But same problem as in World Championships, so something like 20/21h should be acceptable?

Only stated my opinion in race chat yesterday, but better to do it here for everyone:

Unfortunately, Luques has not been very active and so we cannot expect the Olympic Road Race to happen like a Olympic Road Race or World Championship has happened in the past (with National Teams in the separate function in-game).

So instead of National Teams it will be our own teams, but the rest of the experience, I would recommend to leave unchanged. It is a special event in reality and so it can be in RSF

--> Road race 24 July
--> ITT 28 July
--> 5 riders per team
--> At least Category 3 (could be even higher in my point of view. Cat 4 or 5. Cycling has been a part of the Olympic Games since the first modern Summer Olympics in 1896, so similar to other highly traditional races)

To be debated in my point of view:

Number of editions: There should be only one Olympic champion like there is only one World champion in RSF. But of course can argue that if it is not with national teams, we might as well just ride 4 editions... however, I think, it makes it just a normal one day race without any special character. So prefer 1 edition only.
Start time if only one edition: It used to be 18:00 for ITT and 21:00 for Road race. Makes sense to keep it like that. But you could also argue that it should be the same time like real race (so something between 4:00 and 11:00) or it should be whenever highest participation has been. So might be afternoon (14:00 or 15:00) for the weekend and evening for during the week (back to 21:00).
Parallel races if only one edition: For those that cannot ride the 1-edition-olympic race, there could be fantasy races at other start times. For example, if olympic road race is 21:00, then there could be parallel races 9:00, 14:00, 17:00. We never had this in the past for World championship or Olympic races, but it was also not possible in the past.... so now you could do it in an attempt to try to make everyone happy (which is impossible of course and there will be some complaints anyway).

My preference would be 1 edition (start time 21 like in the past or afternoon because it's on the weekend) offered as cat4 or cat5 plus parallel fantasy cat1 races for the other start times of the day.

For the ITT the same, but start time 18 like in the past or later in the evening, because it is during the week.

Also, please decide until Thursday at the latest, so people can prepare and plan for this event - in terms of reg of riders but also in terms of making time for the 1-edition-race

As for the Olympics, he said that it can be done. But difficult with little time. August would be easier. Well, they are this Saturday I answered, he hasn't seen that PM yet.... so not really sure where we're going with the Olympics now....

To make it clearer:

I have no clue if Luques thinks he'll be ready for the Olympics tomorrow or not. So won't put up any races for tomorrow. Luques has been online a bit the last days, so if he thinks he'll be ready, good, then we might have the Olympics tomorrow. If not, we won't have any races at all. I won't put a race online not knowing if there's a possibility of getting the Olympics with the national team system or not.
