Very interesting first stage: Pehlivan with the stage and three jerseys. Rest of the front group, except Magram, in a good GC position incl. K. Steinsson, Burke and Brabec. Still in reach are the time trialists, esp. Saez and with less chances Fowler who finished in the main group. Roldos should be also able to finish in top10 I guess. Benni and Bergmann both missed the chance for a stage win today, Benni mainly because of Kari's GC chances.

Alkworld also looking for a sitter, no? Then the question is: Will the sprint teams ride for a sprint? Will yellow help them? Or is the GC still wide open?

Lots of action here today. First a strong group with the team that won the stage and the current GC favorite, then lots of (and even too much) tempo by vagaderi to keep the gap close and later the usual suspects on pavé taking over. My plan then almost worked out, but two good TT riders were brought back to the main group on one of the hills. And in the end, the difference between Roldos and the 1st group was a bit bigger than I hoped, mostly due to bad collaboration in the peloton. If Team Radeberger just waits right away for my riders and I wouldn't have to use a dead Eloy Alfaro on 5%, the collaboration could have been a lot better. But this way we have many candidates for the win now, Saez (with a bad team and maybe without a manager), someone from today's winning group (maybe with less than 1000 energy tomorrow), Roldos (maybe working for a sprint, maybe not) and others who could still surprise everyone here.

i think that Damian Saez is the big favo and the other riders (kari, burke, brabec, also Roldos and sükrü) need more space to win the tour. so we will see some attacks at the flatstages? maybe a lot of chaos? do not know. it depends on the sprinterteams if they are able to block. perhaps they do not want to work for the gc teams? do not know this.

As expected a stage with very much action. In the end it seems that Kari Steinsson is the big winner in the GC while GarciaLorca from Alkworld won the stage and Pehlivan from RV Allagen could defend yellow and green. The mountain jersey is sealed as there is no mountain sprint left in the tour, quite fortunately. Toni Liias (Cologne Procycs) is the lucky guy that leads that classement. Also white should be taken home pretty sure by Sükrü Pehlivan.
Tomorrow Team FL will try to present Kari a good basis for the second half stage, the final 15 km long time trial. Perhaps a colaboration with the teams that want a sprint royal and Team Radeberger might be possible, as Damian Saez is still in the game with his time trial skill of 82 and a gap to Kari consisting of 108 seonds.
Still, also tomorrow's first half stage will not be just an easy sprint, as many haven't given up yellow yet

Well, yesterday I learned that 37 seconds on stage 1 was too much after all. Some better collaboration there, Radeberger not waiting for 5km to wait for Roldos, and we could have been closer now. In that case, Roldos also wouldn't have tried to use his regeneration advantage yesterday and the gap to the peloton could have been bigger. But as these were lots of if, could and would, we'll rather live with reality, which isn't that bad either either after Federico's first win. Hopefully another win will follow today or on Sunday?
