Re: April 2012
I think his "fault" is that in the rutómetro of Pais Vasco tour it is written that this is a "rural" road. This means it is a road just for agriculture vehicles. But this is not automatically an dirt/pavé road.
I also tried to find the correct road for the dirt/pavé road in stage 1. It is very difficult and the information are quite confusing, but i think there should be no dirt road at all.
I also found pictures from last year (?) and there the riders were all on normal streets. Would be nice if Aux can say something to it and then change it maybe...

the first photo is from seearch:ZUMELTZEGI BIDE
the second photo is from Gavazzi win last year at Pais Vasco
info from the side are not very good, sometimes wrong, some mountains are not correct, give no maps, and i follow the rutometro info.
under is a photo from the maps, and when i see right, for me is a sterrato.

I found this one. Interesting sentence in it is the following:
Carretera asfaltada en su totalidad en marzo de 2003.
So the Google Maps picture is maybe to old or you choose the wrong road?
Edit: On my Google Earth this route is cleary with normal asphalt. If you want a proof, ask for it.
Otherwise please change the stage and maybe review the other "pseudo-sterrato" parts?

very difficult, there is always a difference between the gpx values and the rutometro informations, although I almost always was on the right road.
I saw no sprints.

These little mountain roads are often very bad. A * could be sometimes OK. For the TT, i dont know.GengisKhan wrote:Well, the road on la Vuelta a País Vasco are usually quite old and dirty, but for me, it can't be considered as pavé.
Re: April 2012
It would be totally fine to have those old and bad roads as pavé, if the RSF physics would already make more sense on pavé on climbs. As something like 8* is not very selective (and I don't wanna mention the Muur or Kemmelberg) and our mountain riders are extremely bad on pavé due to the low flat skill, having pavé on climbs changes the character of a race tremendously.lesossies wrote:These little mountain roads are often very bad. Re: April 2012
Exactly, and thats the main point in my opinion. If the character of the race is changed - compared to reality - because of the pavésections where the dirty road would be, better leave it away completely.Alkworld wrote:It would be totally fine to have those old and bad roads as pavé, if the RSF physics would already make more sense on pavé on climbs. I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.
Re: April 2012
Stage 1:
- The first climb is just NOT on dirt road or pavé. Check street view, took me 3' to find it yesterday no discussion necessary.
- The second climb, ok here it's a bit mysterious where they pass. Main road, then why don't they just put in the number of the main road? That's option 1. Option 2 is a side road, keep going on the 27xx then to Bezi/Beci. Clearly looks paved from the satellite view. Option 3 then would be a dirt road next to the main road. Which one is it? Don't know, probably checking with the distance might help, not doing it. Common sense though would suggest it's not the dirt road next to the main road option.
Stage 6:
- rural is the downhill, we have it in the climb. Here still fairly clear where they probably pass... the probable downhill road: Paved. And even if not, it wouldn't be in the climb like the nobel prize winner wants (at least that's what my analysis yesterday said)
TT:
-This one a complete mess, nobody knows where they pass probably. No clue. sterrato? No. Pavé in the villages? Possible. That much? Don't know, again, here the infos are just a big mess.

Re: April 2012
Alto Beci has definitely no pavé or sterrato. Read my link. There you have also a map which shows quite good which route they take and this is cleary a normal road without any pave or dirt roads.

stage 5:
if you follow the rutometro
ZUBILLAGA alt.200 km. 0
ETXE-AUNDI alt.205 km. 2.8
GARAGALTZA alt.330 km. 6
OÑATI alt. 245 km. 9(end)
draw the maps coming following rutometro
ZUBILLAGA alt.200 km. 0
ETXE-AUNDI alt.219 km. 3
GARAGALTZA alt.234 km. 9.6
OÑATI alt.240 km.14.95
first, altitude is wrong
second, race long is wrong(6 km. more)
other point, the place wo Garagaltza ist signalized ist another one. :S
i follow the satellite maps,
Zubillaga to Etxe-aundi still the same tracks, but , to reach Garagaltza, you need from Etxe the pave street next the GI-3593, and must take the downhill from Calle de San Juan.
if yopu follow this track Altitude and Long of the tracks are right.
anyway, i can delete the pave(in this fail is sterrato, not pave), for me is not a probleme.
Beci, probably the bild that i have was old, while is the same tracks from Galacticos, the other streets are reach not the right altitude
From Itt, streets are not signalized, and i look tfor info in internet.
many photo from the tower are with pave around, the is probably the tracks, while the race ride next the tower.
are also a really bad brown sandy street, but i don't think that ride this one
from stage one the dirty road is at the second mountain,ALTO DE LA ESCRITA, i exchange the mountain, was my mistake.
anyway, next time, roby, make yourself, you perfect boy!

Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla
Was going to praise you because you managed to ANSWER criticism, for like the first time ever. But no... .you have to make it personal again you sorry little brainless twat.
Fact is: Somebody designs, anybody, there will ALWAYS be mistakes. Doesn't matter who designs it, me you, leso or VC Frankfurt, EVERYBODY makes mistakes. The difference is that you usually are to fucking cocky, to arrogant, to sure of yourself to be able to give normal answers. To communicate. You're a sorry little whining arrogant baby. Design your shit, answer criticism, and leave me the fuck alone, got it?

Re: April 2012
Roubaix (which I wasn't going to design anyway) same course as in 2011, no changes at all it seems. So reuse the version from 2011! Ok, somebody still has to track it for the map...
I'll do Brabant in the meantime.

Brabant is online (and with map) too and should be OK, if some change is to do I´ll do it later.
Re: April 2012
YES
Just realized you had done Brabant, excellent, was getting a heart attack along the way... the stupid map and the route description not the same. Roby stupid while designing, was just going to restart because I fucked up along the way... But leso did it
I'm sure it's all good, if not I don't care
Anyway, RKL needs his yearly break after the Flanders designing shit... out of designing for April... too much stress,
