Parallell to el Campeonato, an other boring tour :
Re: November 2010
Tour of Southland originally for 5 riders per team.
Bolivia nothing found yet. Or my Spanish is too bad. Maybe someone could find it out. Or we wait until there's a startlist. But I can't imagine that race to bne for 8 riders.

Oh, thanks Skull.
Re: November 2010
And it's both 2.2. I would guess. No, Bolivia 2.2. Southland this year not classified even.
Which means: D6 race? Or D5+6?
No of course not... but really don't like the way the real number of riders per race is pushed here in this thread.... Still no real opinion about it, but why not first get a consensus or a decision by Buhmann/Leso instead of trying to get it done here? Nothing against Southland with 6 or whatever actually, don't mind at all. But would that then mean that in spring when the real races start we have automatically accepted the real numbers?
But for November: Please no Bolivia. We have SOO many good fantasytours left, I just mention Abruzzo by LCB but there were others too. Plus making Tours is popular, so we get more and more, why not use the time for fantasytours instead of for completely unimportant Tours like Bolivia? Plus even the profile at first site looks boring,

Got a carrot from FL. But they threaten to take it away now.

Re: November 2010
in the off-season there are no races above x.2
so i dont see why restrict southland or other races to div 5/6 ...
we rode southland the last years with the original team size
i think its no problem to ride "shit races" with short stages with reduced team size
and nobody transformed this policy to the big races

In my eyes that's two different topics:Robyklebt wrote: ... but really don't like the way the real number of riders per race is pushed here in this thread.... 1.) Real races with team sizes smaller than standard (be it 8 in RL or 9 in RSF) shall be smaller than standard in RSF as well. I guess here we already have a sort of consensus. We rode Britain with 7. And did we do it with other tours/races in the past? Don't know by now. But there weren't much of those races on the real calendar during the real season. Maybe that's why there wasn't much of them in RSF either. Anyway we had a discussion about that long ago. Then it was kinda implenented to start determined races with sizes smaller than 9. When somebody comes up with the info about a race rearding the tea size or whatever Leso appeared to me to implement it to the race.
2.) Real races basically should have the original teram sizes in RSF. Including the choice to send 1 or 2 riders less. That would lead to a standard of 8.
I really would like to push 2.)
But my remark from 5:13 pm was only about 1.). No general discussin. No Push of anything. Just the info about the characteristic of a race, that's designed for even that mentioned team size.
Re: November 2010
I agree that's shitty tours, but that's real tour, so I did that for the "real calendar" but I can understand that you prefer my fantasy tour than these horribles reals tours
Re: November 2010
One question for bolivia tour the stage 7b is it a ITT or TTT?

None of both, a normal stage.
Re: November 2010
Why is the last stage of the southland tour and the first stage of the andes tour on the same day? can we do southland one day before? or andes one day later? because i thin many teams want to ride both tours

Many temas want many things, but not every wish comes true. So the teams have to live with it.

2007: 33 (30 since buying licence in april)
2008: 54
2009: 36
2010: 47
2011: 34

Re: November 2010
I am against Bolivia parallel to "Campeonato de los Andes".
Bolivia maybe later or adapted to RSF, maybe shorted to 4-6 days.
To start Southland 1 day before could be a good idea. 6 or 7 riders ?

Re: November 2010
Sorry for complaining again...but why starting a real tour at another date than the real edition?
shouldn't it be one "goal" to ride real races if they are already designed at the same day they really are?
sorry don't get the point...with southland it's no problem to change the date of beginning because some teams want to ride the tour, beghelli for example was on the same day than paris tours, maybe some teams wanted to ride both too...okay they should have posted it...
At RSF the teams have to decide which race they ride - normal und the users are used to since the beginning...in RL a team can split their line-up and send different rosters to two races, tours...okay another point...two races for big teams...

Ride the tours at the real dates. Overlapping happens, then you have to choose. Simple. Riding all the tours in a month is not something mandatory.
And find a place for my tour of new zealand, much better than that southland crap

Re: November 2010
Southland is an event for smaller teams and less gifted riders. Overlapping both races could help sorting the startlists. The big climbers with their mountain teams could go to the Andes, while simultaneously they could be kept away from Southland to leave it for the lower level teams. The big ones don't need to win stages in both, Andes and Southland.
It's just a thought. Anyway, running it with 6 or 7 riders Southand could create some surprising unfoldings of the races. And the big climbers won't have top form for the whole month.

the guys protesting against wise calendar tuning
- so that every team can ride the races -
are the same complaining about to much races parallel
- what results in weak competition -
