World Championships 2025

On Sunday, 28 September, we are planning World Championships with National Teams, for the first time since 2020 (the end of Flash, for those who remember).

National Team Selection (based on August Season Ranking)
- Starts Monday, 15 Sep 2025, 12.00 CET
- You can see your selection time under: Statistics > Users > Selection Rank / Selection From
- You can select a national team under: Statistic > Country > Click on a country

Inscription
- You can inscribe via the normal inscription

Conditions for the races
- Form will be the normal monthly form set (or not set) by the team manager
- Energy will be 1000 for each rider participating in a race

Races
- Road Race at 14:00
- ITT at 20:00

Rewards
Rainbow jersey for the road race winner.

Potential Bonus Races
There are potential bonus races in a similar format:
- TTT on the same day.
- European Championships the following week.
I cannot yet promise that these will happen, and even if they happen, unlikely that they happen bug-free

Correct me if I'm wrong
Alk, who programmed the whole thing, and all participants of the Test World Championship from a few weeks ago shall correct me, if any information from above is wrong or missing.

Can a rider ride the ITT and the Roadrace? Yes.
Can a country with less than 9 riders ride the roadrace? Yes.
Can i inscribe less than 9 riders even so my country has more than 9? Yes.
Same for the ITT can i inscribe less than 4? Yes.
Can i select one country for the ITT and switch afterwards to a country that is not picked already? Not 100% sure, but in theory, yes. However, the ITT takes place after the road race and it's not yet decided if there will be races after ITT (TTT and ECs can be imagined but are not yet decided). Also, in theory, with 157 teams eligble vs. 82 countries, it is unlikely that there would be countries available after the ITT.
It should be only the first 20 or so that gets to choose, then open for everybody. That's how it used to be? I don't know how it used to be. In this case all division 1-5 rankings are considered.
Is it possible to have the team selection take place only during the day? Not possible in the way it is currently implemented as I can only set the time interval between teams (2h in this case) and the c4f day has 24h. Also, people are playing from different time zones (and with different daily routines obviously) so it would be hard to define what exactly would be 'during the day'.

How much power will he have the day after the World Championship?
700? 1000? Or depending on power consumption during the World Championship + Reg? Should be 700.

No need to select at 2am you can also select 5 hours later still

No need to select at 2am you can also select 5 hours later still

Energy of riders in WC is independent from regular races. In WC everybody starts with 1000, regular energy remains untouched.

So the rider gets double reg until the next real race? I mean reg for the day change to the WC day, and reg to the next day?

Additionally, in statistics, there are teams with 1,00000 as ranking number and a date to chose in December, is there a bug about the calculation? I guess the last date should be for all the rest the same?

The way the script worked is that only active teams are considered. Inactive teams don't qualify. (No clue if there is something missing there from the old Buhmann code or if it was always like this.)
