January

After we had to cancel the January Tour due to time constraints and mainly concentrated on smaller Races at the beginning of the month, it was to be expected that relegation from DIV1 would be unavoidable.
Then there were problems with the lineup for the Down under Tour and January was therefore completely written off.
We were finally able to record a small success by winning the AlUla Tour with 🇱🇺 Raymond Werdel.

In January we were able to record 5 stage wins (3x Werdel, 2x Sassel), 1x race win, 1x mountain jersey

Rider of the month
🇱🇺 Raymond Werdel 33yrs 89/58/76/49/44/55.9

February

Second place in division 2 and back in division 1 which was the main goal.
🇱🇺 Raymond Werdel seems to be carrying the team single handedly. But what comes after that remains the big unanswered question!?

In February we were able to record 6 stage wins + 2 national titels (3x Werdel, Sinner, Hubsch, Sassel) + (Marco Chaussy, Christoph Kass),
1x second place gc, 2x third place gc, 1x mountain jersey

Rider of the month
🇱🇺 Raymond Werdel 34yrs 89/57/75/49/44/55.2
(3x stage wins, 1x 2nd place gc, 1x 3rd place gc)

Transfers
We present our new sprinter:

March

Since we saw little chance in the March classics and simply lacked the riders to achieve good results, we focused on this month two grand tours, Paris-Nice and the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya.
Very disappointing results at the end, even though we could have achieved at least an overall victory.
In the end, we lost Paris-Nice by 1 second to first place and the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya by 2 seconds to first place.

In March we were able to record 4 stage wins (3x Werdel, Lebrun)
2x second place gc, 1x third place gc, 1x team classification

Rider of the month
🇱🇺 Raymond Werdel 35yrs 88/56/74/46/43/54.5

The question was hotly debated internally: Will he still ride the GIRO🇮🇹 or not?!?
In the end, the decision was made that the GIRO🇮🇹 only needs one true climber and to use the money to invest in the future.

April

A German proverb: "April does what it wants"

Unfortunately, there isn't much to report about April, except that we mainly focused on the one-day races.
We skipped both World Tour races, the Itzulia Basque Country and the Tour of the Alps, and only rode a smaller multi day race, the Giro d'Abbruzzo, where we still managed to finish second with 🇱🇺 Josette Lebrun and win the team ranking.
We also had to cancel the important classics, the Amstel Gold Race and Liège-Bastogne-Liège, due to time constraints.
As a result, we realized early in the season that it would be difficult to maintain Division 1, and the team decided to retire the two top point scorers, 🇱🇺 Raymond Werdel and 🇱🇺 Yves Sinner, at the end of the month.
We'll be back in Division 2 in May.

In April we are able to record 4 stage wins (2x Vanendres, 1x Werdel, 1x Vidoni) 1x second place gc, 1x team classification

May

May is Giro 🇮🇹 time, and the team entered the first Grand tour of the year with high hopes.
But after the first week, their high hopes were dashed.
On the one hand, the team invested too much in the flat stages, and unfortunately, a stage win for 🇱🇺 Eve Vanendres didn't materialize.
On the other hand, they lost too much time in the general classification with 🇱🇺 Josette Lebrun in the first week, so that in the end, unfortunately, 🇱🇺 Josette Lebrun only finished sixth in general classification. We had hoped at least he make it to the podium.
In the second and final week of the Giro 🇮🇹, the team held back a bit and tried to snag a few more wins.
In the end, 🇱🇺 Josette Lebrun secured two stage wins for the team.
Next year can only be better, and we've learned a lot again   8-)

June

The month June is over, and we're back in Division 1. 7 stage wins in June, setting the record for this year so far.
Unfortunately, 🇱🇺 Josette Lebrun missed a podium finish at the Tour de Dauphiné.
However, in the end, we were content with a stage win and the climber's jersey, which 🇩🇪 Robert Schumann took home.
The Tour de Dauphiné was also the only multi-stage race this month otherwise, we focused on the one-day races.

We also managed to win two jerseys at the National Championships.

In June we are able to record 7 stage wins (2x Lebrun, 2x Vanendres, 1x Waringo, 2x Kass) 1x mountain jersey

Lebrun retires

It's often very quiet on rest days at Grand Tours as the riders recover.
But it also often happens on rest days that speculation about a possible rider change heats up, contracts aren't renewed, or riders end their careers. An important personnel decision was made today in front of the Luxembourg team bus.

July

The second Grand Tour of the year. We were ready for the biggest race of the year in France 🇫🇷 .
Since the two GC leaders, 🇱🇺 Raymond Werdel and 🇱🇺 Josette Lebrun, had already left the team, the Tour relied entirely on a sprinter team.
With 🇱🇺 Eve Vanendres, we took incredible four stage wins and rode the green jersey through France for 19 of the 21 days.
Unfortunately, we hand over the jersey to Tuk's GC leader on the last two stages and were unable to quite reach the finish in Paris with the Maillot Vert.

In July we are able to win 4 stage wins (4x Vanendres)

Rider of the Month
🇱🇺 Eve Vanendres 26yrs 48/65/50/52/90/61.7
(4x stage wins Tour the France)

Transfers
We present our new GC hope:
🇱🇺 Laurent Hengen 21yrs 73/56/76/54/46/55.4

Preview August
The team is slowly but surely developing into a elevator team, fluctuating monthly between Division 1 and Division 2. We hope to remain in Division 1 permanently in the near future.
The team will not be competing in the third Grand Tour of the year, the Vuelta 🇪🇸 in August, because the profile simply doesn't suit our riders at the moment. We will therefore be competing in the smaller tours in Poland, Denmark, and the Benelux countries. The three important classics - San Sebastian, Cyclassics in Hamburg, and the Bretagne Classic are also still on the schedule.
The team is in a good financial position, and we are still exploring the market for another GC leader to join the team as soon as possible.

August

There's nothing noteworthy to report from August, so we'll keep it brief. In August, we were content with competing in smaller races.
The team is getting older, and the transition is now imminent during the off-season.

In August we are able to win 5 stage wins (1x Wimpfheimer, 1x Kass, 1x Vanendres, 2x Ospelt)

Rider of the Month
🇱🇺 Felix Ospelt 25yrs 49/67/70/53/90/62.8
(2x stage wins)

Transfers
The second GC hope is joining the team:
🇱🇺 Andre Leick 21yrs 72/56/78/51/49/54.8

Ones to watch
Our new GC leaders:
🇱🇺 Laurent Hengen 22yrs 77/60/76/54/46/58.2
🇱🇺 Andre Leick 21yrs 72/56/78/51/49/54.8

The leaders for next year are in place, and we can now put together our helpers during the off-season

🇱🇺 Tour de Luxembourg 2025 🇱🇺

Home race - Home streets - Home squad
One of the most important and beautiful races of the year for the team and for the team's fans.

Lineup
#1 🇱🇺 Laurent Hengen
#2 🇱🇺 Marco Chaussy
#3 🇱🇮 Rolf Wimpfheimer
#4 🇱🇮 Christophe Kass
#5 🇱🇺 Luc Folschette
#6 🇱🇺 Michele Mannes
#7 🇱🇺 Bernard Hubsch
#8 🇱🇺 Alain Hinger

Stage 1: Luxembourg › Luxembourg
The tour begins at Place Guillaume in Luxembourg and initially heads into the Ardennes, where the closely spaced climbs of Putscheid, Bourscheid, and Eschdorf present the peloton with early challenges.

After a group broke away shortly after the start of the race, we largely took control of the peloton along with GC favorite CreditPommes.
The group was never able to build a lead of more than three minutes. Then, at the Stafelter, the expected "Sieb" and we were still in the lead with four riders. The sprint then proved easy for Kass, who took the leader's yellow jersey.

After winning the third stage of the Tour of Luxembourg in 2024, we did the same in 2025 on the first stage of our home race.
Fans and sponsors are thrilled and hope for further success.

2025-09-17, 14h, Luxembourg Et. 1: Lëtzebuerg - Lëtzebuerg
1. 00:00:00 Christophe Kass (r FSCL)
2. 00:00:00 Kim Schleck (Lotto-Soudal)
3. 00:00:00 FlorianRudolf Klenk (Narrenparty)
4. 00:00:00 Gytis Stonkus (OLcycle)
5. 00:00:00 Rolf Wimpfheimer (r FSCL)

Stage 2: Remich › Mamer
The stage between Remich and Mamer features its final climb about 45 kilometers from the finish. The showdown for the stage victory will ultimately take place right in front of the home of two time Tour de France overall winner Nicolas Frantz.

In the breakaway, a two-way battle for the mountain jersey turned into a three-way battle. The next few days should be exciting. As expected, the stage was ultimately decided in a sprint.

Kass defended the GC classification and the sprint jersey with third place, gaining another important bonus second for tomorrow and important points for the sprint jersey.

2025-09-18, 14h, Luxembourg Et. 2: Remich - Mamer
1. 00:00:00 Shalin Romly (OLcycle)
2. 00:00:00 Victorio Bargas (Atletico Lula)
3. 00:00:00 Christophe Kass (r FSCL)
4. 00:00:00 Dmytro Hryzyk (DynamoKiev)
5. 00:00:00 Reggy Badenburg (CreditPommes)

Stage 3: Mertert › Vianden
Queen stage! On the way from Mertert to the picturesque Vianden Castle. With the Niklosbierg climb having to be conquered three times. The finale is also a tough one.

On today's stage, we tried to control the race a bit at the beginning and were able to relax until about 60 km into the race. Due to the climbs on the Niklosbierg, only the strongest classic riders could keep up.

A few kilometers before the finish, we launched a classic attack, where we hung perfectly, gained some time, and finally had the strongest rider on the final climb.

Wimpfheimer won, taking the leader's jersey from Kass. We not only secured the leader's jersey on the stage, but also the sprinter's jersey and the jersey of the best young rider. Furthermore, it was already the second victory on home soil. The fans and sponsors are overjoyed.

04. 00:00:03 Laurent Hengen (r FSCL)
05. 00:00:03 Gytis Stonkus (OLcycle)

Stage 4: Niederanven › Niederanven
The penultimate stage features an individual time trial.

2025-09-20, 14h, Luxembourg Et. 4: Niederanven - Niederanven (ITT)
01. 00:00:00 Stefanos Tzimas (Narrenparty)

04. 00:01:02 Martim Correia (Wolfpack Cycling Team)
05. 00:01:03 David Lynch (Schartner Bombe)

Stage 5: Mersch › Luxembourg
The final act traditionally offers a grand spectacle. The field reaches the final stages in Luxembourg via the climbs of Nommern, Gralingen, Kautenbach, and Misärshaff. The dreaded Pabeierbierg, short but extremely steep, will have to be conquered three times.

Having started the stage with high hopes of securing our third victory of the Tour, we ultimately had to admit defeat at the end of the breakaway group. Not too tragic, considering we'd already celebrated two victories and thus secured the green jersey.

2025-09-21, 14h, Luxembourg Et. 5: Mersch - Lëtzebuerg
01. 00:00:00 Osvaldo Morinigo (OLcycle)
02. 00:00:08 Anthony Ashcroft (Schartner Bombe)
03. 00:00:08 Jari Tamikkonen (L RSV)
04. 00:00:12 Gytis Stonkus (OLcycle)
05. 00:00:13 Christophe Kass (r FSCL)

Final result
A beautiful tour on home roads, a relaxed field, and riding in front of our own fans.
A super team result, and in the end, winning two stages and the green jersey.

September

We're in the midst of the team's first major transition, and despite everything, we're achieving good results, and the balance between income and expenses is also good from a financial perspective. However, I personally find that we often travel very expensively.
We've also found more time to ride multi day tours, and we're clearly enjoying it more at the moment.

The big highlight this month was, of course, the Tour of Luxembourg, which is right on our doorstep.

In September we are able to win 5 stage wins (2x Ospelt, 1x Lammers, 1x Kass, 1x Wimpfheimer) 2x sprint jerseys

Rider of the Month
🇱🇺 Felix Ospelt 26yrs 49/67/69/52/90/62.8

Ones to watch
Team r FSCL:
Our big goal in October is to reach the 100 win mark.

We're back in Division 1 and want to stay there until the start of the real season in January.
