Missing Race History? Report here.

Good news: We will re-launch the race history with previous winners and some nice statisics in the Race-Modal very soon.

To make it better than in the past, we need your help: A race edition will only show up in the History, if it has the identical name and a logical stage naming. It was the same in Flash actually... but now we can solve it in the database.

If you find a race with missing race history, please report:

For one-day-races:
- Date and Race-Name of the most recent edition (e.g. Trofeo Andratx, 28-Jan-2023)
- Missing years, please only if you are 100% certain that they were ridden in C4F but are missing in the race history (e.g. 2015, 2019)
- Suspected historical names of the race (e.g. Trofeo Andratx-Mirador d'Es Colomer and Trofeo Andratx Lloseta)
- Info if you want to suggest a correct name which is different from the most recent name

In addition for stage races:
- Missing years for stages (if not the same as for GC)
- Info about correct naming of stages (e.g. correct: "GIRO [...] Tappa [,,,]", incorrect: "Italia [...] Napoli - Roma "

You can also report other bugs in the race history of course (not impossible as it is a newly implemented feature).

Milano Sanremo missing from 2014 on it seems. As well as 2006
RVV missing 2006-2015
Roubaix. LBL and Lombardia only 2006 missing.

Yeah yeah, incomplete report I just realized, but fuck it, incomplete is good enough for me.

Milano Sanremo name for 2016(and probably 2014/15 aswell) onwards: La Classicissima
19-Mar-2022 most recent edition
Milan Sanremo probably the more common name

Well something I wanted to ask long ago. Why are some big races named "correctly" while others are named using alternative names, like "L Enfer du Nord"?

Wrong thread, but since I happen to remember it: It's the same as with Paris-Nimes. Leso&Buhmann weren't too sure about problems with race organizers, ASO etc., trademark stuff if they used the real names of the races. So Paris-Nice became Paris-Nimes, the monuments mostly not the real name either, Le Tour de France just le Tour etc.

Mh, good point with the trademarks.

So before we clean up the database, would it be better to define the names we want to use without risking trademark violation? It can be the most recent race name of course, if we think that's best, or a better alternative if there is one.

For example, Paris-Nimes seems just wrong. Like Milan-Sanremo is La Classicissima, Paris-Nice could be La course au soleil (whereas Paris-Nimes is like Milano-San Pellegrino in a way...). I'm not fixed on this example but prefer alternative names over wrong names. Le Tour for example is a clever alternative to its trademark, too (doesn't have to be La Grande Boucle, can remain Le Tour imo for simplicity as there is nothing wrong with Le Tour).

Hm, so I shouldn't report this?
- La Marseillaise, 30.01.22, missing 2012. I'm not 100% sure it was ridden, but sort of assume it was. 2006-2008 the same, maybe not ridden in 2006, but assume it was in 07-08.

Talkin about Paris-Nimes: Missing pre 2014

There are stage results for 2007 (not 2008) but GC results for 2008 (not 2007)

It might be an advantage that the game is now not commercial at all, other than in the past. So at the moment, I'd rather not do a cleanup (other than harmonizing the already existing names).

Cleaned up the database for what has been reported so far.

More will be necessary... and consistent naming of races.

For one-day races: Always the same name.

For stage races: Always the same name. And then the stages should follow a structure like this if possible.

[Race Name][ ][Stage][.][#][:][Type] [City]-[City]

[Race Name] = Exactly same as the race name (e.g. "Le Tour")
[ ] Separator = Some kind of separator to show that the race name ended. Will recognize the most common ones (" " and "-")
[Stage] = The word "Stage", can be abbreviated or translated if necessary (e.g. "Et")
[.] Separator = Some kind of separator to show that the word for Stage ended. Will recognize the most common ones (".", " " and ". ")
[#] = The stage number or some word for prologue
[:] Separator = Some kind of separator to show that now the cities of the stages follow, will recognize the most common ones (":" and " ")
[Type] = Can be some special indication for the stage (e.g. "ÏTT" or ""TTT"). Can be omitted.
[City] = The name of the start and end cities. Please put start and end, even if it's a circuit.

De Panne

Pre 2018 it was a stage race, in the history it is mixed up. Should this be treated as one race?

GP Samyn 01.03.22 last edition. Missing before 2015, 2012-2014 was called Samyn, before that don't know.

Catalunya: Check the date yourself.. For the GC statistics all is ok, but for the stages the years 09-11 are missing.

Same problem for Paris-Nimes, stages stats for 07 and 09 missing.

Pais Vasco not missing, but weird.

Rider ranking and team ranking it shows always the same, regardless of what you click, I suppose it's the stage wins?

Ah, the 2 windows are amazingly tiny as well.

Which version do you use? 1.17.22 is the current one, and I had some bugfixes in that area. In my case, it looked normal.

Think he means that sorting & filtering used to work when you click on the respective button. Now you have to make two clicks: button for filtering, table column for sorting. I agree with the Donks having both back in one click would be preferred.

OK, that was it. Clicking on top already updates the filtering in the "All Entries" table, but sorting in the other two tables is missing.

I hadn't even seen that you can sort there... but yes, that's it!

And the size. On my computer I get to see 1,5 rows in those tiny tables. See more on the mobile actually.

Minor thing, but should be fixed with v1.18.8.

San Sebastian is not showing the whole history. There are 2 different histories

The actual version just shows: 2011-2014
The last years edition shows: 2015-2022
