Hi all. We've discussed this already in the Instagram-thread, but I think it better fits here.

The C4F logo, header and all the colours are a bit older now and I personally think it's time for a refresh, at least for the logo. Therefore I suggest a small competition for all interested managers to create a new logo. I hope, it's not hard to implement then
Maybe the admins can give us a short hint about the size and what's maybe important as well.

After we have a new logo, I also suggest a bit of a rebrand of the site, maybe starting with a new header?

The banner ( = the one on top) size is 1024 x 50.

Hi hi, if you (Chem or TDM) or anyone else has time to design it, it is welcome by the admins and easy to implement.

Only condition: The banner needs to be better than the old one (and dont infringe any copyright...)

I just read that a logo with C4F is required. In my opinion, maybe we should simply remodel the old one and not create a completely new one. Do we know the font and have the original banner in a better resolution?
I quickly cobbled this together from the banner pic.
I think we shouldn't let the "Radsportfreaks" get lost—that was the origin.
I can experiment a bit if you want. If we dont know the font and colors, maybe its better to do a new logo and banner

A quick suggestion, not quite fully developed yet:

When I play around with it, I realize that a completely new logo/banner could also be nice.

In my idea it was not remodeling, but having a new one. But I'm totally fine with anything.

ok Chem, think I found out what font this is.
First, I'll try something based on the banner we have now - maybe something new will come out in the end

What do you think about going in this direction?
Maybe we should switch from RSF to C4F first. The entire in-game design is yellow, green and blue ... If you want to completely redesign the banner, you also have to rethink the in-game design—because of the colors and so on... so that it's consistent... Besides, the banner isn't that bad. The font is actually modern again. It's a font that was used in movies from the 70s ... think it's still cool retro-font today.

A logo without any Donkey in it.. .ts ts.

So, since only Chemnitz and Donkey are interested in it, here's my final version.

The idea behind it:
1. Not too far removed from the old version (due to in-game graphics, etc.)
2. Yellow, green, red and white as the colors of the jerseys we ride for - it seems to be the idea behind the old banner.
3. I think I found the same fonts; if they're allowed to be used, the administrators would have to look into it.
4. If you have any ideas or improvements to the images shown, please let me know. Since there haven't been any real comments on them so far, I'll stop here. It's quite a bit of work, after all.

P.S.: I'm fine with Big's idea of putting a donkey next to the road - if that's what you want?

No Donkey needed, but does it really have to be the polka dot jersey? Ugliest jersey ever...

I like that this one is close to the old one. Thanks for the effort. I like the letters without the glow more though. And i would write the f in freaks as a capital letter: Cycling4Freaks. Same for the abbreviation: C4F.

And same for the Jersey than the Donkey. I think it should be the Maillot Jaune or the Maglia Rosa (!).

Anyway, maybe something new would be interesting too after 20 years? Maybe Takashi Murakami has an idea. Will ask him if I still have his number... Not that I don't appreciate your logo. I just think it's nice to have different options, as for the december tour (where Takashi got very lazy over the last decade).

I completely agree with you. Polka dot isn't pretty, but it's the standout jersey... I think most people on the side of the road are wearing it. The banner is advertising, not a representation of beauty. Going with the crowd was my idea.

Not because you want something new, but because you're just saying, "Make me something new." Within what limits?

No limits, just as a principle: Have different options to chose from. Like an adaption of the old banner and logo (e.g. yours) and a complete new one. Not that I have something in my mind . At least you inspired me to think about thinking about it : But I am totally fine if it's only yours, great job!

No, no—I'm not being pretentious here—I'd love something new and defined—but my idea was intended as a transition. The game isn't finished, so let's just go to English first—and detach ourselves from Germany, with respect.

What I dislike about the traffic sign is that it says 100% while it obviously just has 50% slope. Thats bothering me since 2008 (of course not your fault)

yes thats true but think they wanted to say 100% C4F

another variant E2 letters without green glow and rider with maglia rosa.
I think the fonts are Husky Stash and Lynx.
I haven't been able to find out whether a license is required for these fonts. Perhaps the admins know which fonts were used.

I like this one better. Great stuff. Maybe we could have different jerseys when it's the Giro, the TdF etc.
