Looks like a transfer bug for this young rider : ohne Name 838892

My offer was higher than the one of Circle Circle but he got the rider for the price he offered apparently... ok, maybe he prefered to go in his team, that's a likelihood... but still!

Hasn't there been another similar case to this? I think it was something like a rounding (up) Problem. So the differences between the bids are too small for the system to process it and then the team id or something similar has been deciding about who gets the rider… Luques?

This is imo the reason. It is as if the system puts both offers at the same time, so something other enters in deciding who gets the rider.

As for the solution, if I am still in time I can swap the rider (or in alternative even double him for the two teams, but I don't think others would agree )

What do you mean, still in time?

It is a rider for next season, I did not give him a name until now.

Well, Choose whatever looks the best in your opinion luques. I'm open.. I mean, CC got the rider so he can stay in his team, I would be happy to get him as I had the higher offer (not the best apparently ) or double the rider, which seems to me to be pretty fair, as it's neither CC's nor mine fault, just a system bug.

Checked today, I am an idiot, the rider is in Gaurain rx team, not in Feiting Siebing, will fix it in the afternoon.

Understand that, I'd rather go to his team too.

But seriously, don't really care what happens in this specific case, but since this seems to be a bug that appears more often than I thought, we probably need some kind of general policy.

a) Rider preferred another team. Let it be, in all cases from now on. While working on a programming solution.
b) Change the rider each time. But then needs to be done fast. Other bids running maybe, in this case let's say Falkenbier would get another rider if he had the money, but since he doesn't have it, doesn't get him. Or I in the meantime get a rider, bla bla. Can become complicated. Then reports need to be fast (mine for example was late too)

To me a) seems simpler, b) is just a big mess waiting to happen...

But, some sort of policy seems nice, apply it consistently (from now on). While working on a solution to avoid this rounding thing.

A fine for Falkenbier seems fine too though. 500'000 for being Falkenbier?

A very brisk idea, but how about...

c) Bug fix?

The number of bugs and the kind of bugs is really frustrating. Some of the bugs may literally be one line of code to adjust if you consider that we are talking of a rounding error most likely.

Will check into it this week.
However, to be honest, it never happened that frequently, last 2 months happened once per month (one in May, one in July), so never was a priority.

P.S. Moreover, I would like to outline that the problem is more deep than what you think. The system actually registered the offer of Falkenbier as expiring before the others (at 14.13 GMT vs 14.17), this basically means that he did all right but the problem was in the calculations when the offer was made

P.P.S. Maybe will ask some of you for some test offers.
