Times for GTs

Post by Robyklebt » Wed Apr 11, 2012 6:55 pm

Time to get to know the times for the GTs... or a general idea on what lesossies plan is.

What is it?
Kraftsystemrevision! Include the distance!
Basics reform: Give blue a chance!
Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!

Tour: 9,14,17,19,21,23
Espana: 10;15;18;21;23/24

6+6+5

Giro same as last year, see no complaints from my part.

Tour?
9-14-17-19-21-23
Bah...
17-19 pfff even in summer the early evening isn't THAT popular. Actually so far if I remember correctly 17h has always been one of the least used times in the TdF, and has been there quite often.

Why not
9-12/13-16-19-21-23 then?
Test 12 or 13 for once. TdF, summer holidays, maybe people have time at noon. IMO would be senseless to have 12/13 for other GTs, but summer maybe it's popular? Then 14 to 16, 16 that most of the time is actually more popular than 17, ok 14h has usually had good participation for the TdF, but some changes from time to time are ok... as long as the afternoon 14-16 keeps on time of course... grrr.

Vuelta then
11-14-17-don't know

Good in my proposal:
- It's from the ape, he's always right
- 9-11,14-16, 17-19 all have 1 time for the GTs. even 12/13 would get one.. not twice 15h never 16, not twice 10 never 11 like in your proposal. Highly cool and offers more people chances to participate in at least one GT, even if their time for participating is extremely limited to one hour or so.

Not that I could ride any of these GTs, but 11h is always a bad idea in my opinion, told you that before. And it's even worse during 3 weeks, I think. Ok, maybe you're right about summer time and vacation, but for the Vuelta, I would stick to 9 or 10 in the morning.
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

9,13,16,19,21,23 could be OK for the Tour
morning , lunchtime, parallel to TV stage, late afternoon, evening and night.

Well, 10/14 for morning/lunchtime isn't that bad, but 9/13 is ok for me ^^
