Langwaki was not planed for 23h (s. http://www.cycling4freaks.com/radsport/february2012.pdf) , but if enough teams want it, I could activate the 23h registration.

And for me the best time for the GTs would be 21.30. I'm sure to be at home in time, and I can go to sleep not too late!
Please please please

No racing at 23 or 24 useless to renew the license
and I think others do not renew, needless to pay for not running :(

March :
Tirreno 24h
Catalunya 23h
De Panne 23h
Criterium 23h

MSR 23h

I try my best to start some races later.

Here the same problem, bring us 100 new italian, spanish or portugese players who like the night and you get more races at this time.

You do not need Italian or Portugese players. For me oftentimes 23 or 24 is the best time too, cause there are days i have to work from 14-23. And i won't stay up early enough for the races at the morning. ;)

I think the best is to have a bank of starting times as large as possible. And even if it's a bit sad to run against only 6 or 7 opponents, it's still better than being unable to run at all...

I think that 23/24h people actually deserve more attention and their spot in the races hour.
Why?

Just look at the last TdF:

10h: 9
15h: 9
18h: 14
20h: 15
22h: 19
24h: 12

24h has more player than 10&15 and almost many players as 18h;

What about some other tours in the last two months?

June:
Dauphinè: 24h has more partecipants than the morning, 11vs9 and same as 16h.
Luxembourg: pretty the same, more partecipants than the morning 8h, one less than 13h
Elektrotoer: same story, 24h, 11 partecipants same as 11 and 16
Austria: 23h more than 14h, this time 3 less than the morning.

July:
Sibiu: 23h this time, more partecipants than any other hour
Wallonie: same as Sibiu

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some other final considerations:
1) In the last two-three weeks i think that the inscription from Portugal had a good rate (ok some of them probably are multi, but this means that at least a real team is present :) ), they often play in late hours so i think late hours inscription will raise
2) From what i write before if the 23h/24h men don't deserve a place the same should be said for the men of the morning and early afternoon, otherwise it wouldn't be fair...
3) Especially in summer with hot temperatures life in Italy(i am sure) and Spain(i suppose), shift by 1hour, i mean if you eat normally at 20h you eat at 21h and so on, because before it's too hot and not comfortable, and many people maybe prefer to go to a local bar and go back home at 22/23.
4) This is a personal point of view... i think that it's the game that should go to the players and not the other way, i mean, give it a chance to these hours because if you don't even start how i can suggest it to a new player who can play only late night?
This thing went up in my mind when i thought that actually there is no race between 1am to 9am, so all america's players who can play at afternoon/night are cut out and i think USA (which is probably the most"online" country) and south America (which is having his good cycling moment) can be interested too in the game; but it's quite difficult that a newbie comes in the forum propose the hour etc... more easily he won't play. Ok the risk is having a race with 1-2 or no partecipants, sure it's a risk but if you don't risk you will never get them.
The thing is partially different for 23/24h players they already deserve their spot imo so give them ;)

Well, I think that we don't have a big number of American players, if we have them at all. And providing races after midnight, at 3 o'clock in the morning? Would not be a good idea, nearly no participants and some people could easily deserve a win. Don't think that we need the 3 or 4 players more from the US. We're international, but we cannot supply every player from every country in the world, just not possible.

Ok this would be a position of the chief here, but wrong imo. It's normal that there are no american players if you don't do nothing to catch them, but if you ask me how we can have more players in a short period i think that America and Russia are two great resources. Why? As i said, many people there, many people that plays and also for a basic principle, the margin of growth is higher in those country you actually don't arrive; i mean making 100 more players in Germany is harder than make 100 more players in USA, why? because already the game is "well known" in Germany not in USA.
But ok we are going a bit off, the focus on the 4) point was i think that it's the game that should go to the players and not the other way but as a global rule not for those who play on 3-4am.

And if in years they didn't do nothing in that hours this means that simply they are not interested

The biggest problem is that the game administration and support is not based on professional structures. And with professional I mean the very llimited meaning of it. This game is still a hobby of a programmer and his father. That's it. There are no structures to make this game much bigger than it already is. They both do the developping stuff, marketing, financing, maintaining, etc. on their own. With some things like NC and FC, they get some help from the community. Which does not work very well. Not to forget the desining of race of course, which usually works well, more or less. Thus, in my humble opinion, as long as the structures are not changed towards a more professional approach, there is not way to make this game much bigger. Has nothing to do with interest. Just a lack of time it seems to me. And a lack of really wanting instead of just wishing. But that's off-topic here anyway ;)
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

Funny fact: It seems we already have at least one US player from New Jersey: thorson and co, currently riding Burgos at 10h. He even writes that he played the game before, 2 or 3 years ago, as THORSON CC. :D

Let's make a big survey!
In what country you play? And in what hours you play? :)

If you do it, you will need leso to post it in the news to have more votes and a more representative poll.
The best would be to ask in term of timezone instead of country ;)
