Breaking News ----- Breaking News ----- Breaking News

A new team is joining Division 7 and the cycling universe. Nike has now started a new project in its sport business. Surprisingly, this time it is cycling, which was neglected most times due to bad reputation about doping. This pleasant turn in Nike Owner Parkers mind is owing to new cycling manager of Nike Youth and former cycling professional Timothy Brander(GER). Brander is an eminently respectable man who knows exactly what he is doing in cycling business.
“Timothy is treating this team as if it is his own child. It is absolutely amazing how he speaks with our staff, cyclists and sponsors. He knows exactly what he is doing and his effort and experience are essential to build a long term successful team.” – Performance Manager Matthew Fisher(USA).
Help from Nike seems essential too, so that Nike Germany is also one of the sponsors of this new equipe. Therefore headquarters of NikeYouth will be in Germany and USA, as a sign of cooperation and importance of the German Nike branch.
“I’m really happy to be given a chance like this. General Manager of a cycling team, sponsored by a big name like Nike and a cooperation between my two origins, Germany and USA. Could it be any better?” asked an ecstatic Timothy Brander during team presentation.
Of course NikeYouth need to go the same hard way until success but with this effort and knowledge it will be interesting to track their way to success.
We are finishing this article with words spoken by directeur sportif Pablo Arraya Montes Vivaldo (Costa Rica) relating to the team roster: “In a long-term view we want to build a young, admirable team which is balanced and successful. We can’t build it in 5 days, it will take time to render more precisely and buy a rider here, train him like this, sell another one. Rome wasn’t build in 5 days, or how do you English people say it? So we started with experienced riders, so we can establish this team in higher division to gain attention and interest of young riders. We are proud of our riders and we think we took a good choice to start with them!”

Team Roster:

Two Races, one great victory

Instead of starting with a stage race, the management decided to participate in One-Day-Races to get started in cycling business. Thereby starts were announced in the Ukraine (Dolyna – Banuvate) and Russia (Novo Rossiysk – Nebug).
NikeYouth could show their colors in the first race while appearing in the daily leading group. But they were caught and OlCycle could gain the win. Daniele Basil couldn’t follow the peloton in its last attack at a steep mountain but was the best NikeYouth rider and finished 20th. .
The Russian race was spectacular as well as diversified. Enrico Paralla was participating in the leading group and attacked 15 kms in front of finish. He was leading alone now, but couldn’t dissociate him from the persecutors. The better sprinters John Dingem, who was Captain in this race and Daniele Basil lost both connection with the peloton owing to high tempo by Team FL and attacks of Javier Cortes. Paralla helped Marcos Amador finding his position when the peloton finally reached the last kilometre. At the wheel of Jan Gotzen and behind Carlos Hermosillos high tempo, Marcos had an excellent position to gain the victory. 100 metres before the finish Marcos set off his turbo and finished 1st in front of Yan Lee (cambodge air line) and Jan Gotzen (blusters).
“It was a great victory, in the end I was hoping that my legs are good enough and I can beat those strong opponents. I am proud of my team and so happy to be the first stage winner of NikeYouth. This team is a great opportunity; we can achieve big victories if we keep on our hard work.” – Marcos Amador.

The Team FL management sends its dearest congratulations for the first race win. Keep it up! Well, not against me, but you know... :)
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

Thank you!

At least I was wrong about Ryan and that he'll beat me again in a sprint, Fl :)

Second win in third race scarcely missed

The day after the first victory Timothy Brander sent his team to start at Nuremberg - Pilzen. In a small peloton it seem to be hard to build a leading group. As it was built, Pedro Amador and Sam Sheperd were participating with two riders of Mavericks. Soon the gap between leading group and peloton grew steadily and was at its highest 7:07 minutes. Three teams controlled the field and tried to close the gap. While the leading group was fighting to keep their advance, distance to finish line was falling and finally they got caught on the last kilometre.
"I could already see the finish line while we were suddenly swallowed by the peloton. I'm very disappointed, It was an exhausting day and we fought until the end but the peloton was too strong. So it ended as a wasted opportunity, I'll try again in another race and maybe it'll work someday." - Sam Sheperd
Finally in massed sprint Melange got best tactical advises and a strong Andre Zeller took the victory. John Dingem ended on position 5, Basil P8, M. Amador P13 and Schäfer P16.

Results:

01. 00:00:00 André Zeller (Melange)
02. 00:00:00 Nacer Démare (Fdgames)
03. 00:00:00 Jeppe Gregersen (CC LdeMar)
04. 00:00:00 Fréderique Vinent (Melange)
05. 00:00:00 John Dingem (NikeYouth)
Risk everything. Success isn't given, it's earned. On the track, with blood, sweat and the occasional tear.
