The Fanta-Bar

Post by Guest » Sat Apr 10, 2010 11:07 pm

The Bar is reopening!

The Fanta-Bar is a long established home for all riders who will retire soon or have retired recently.

It is lead by legendary riders Fritz Fanta and Ernst Roller, former members of "Blaue Quellen"-team. Besides a spacious bar with all amenities and drinks one can expect, since 2008 it also hosts a restaurant with swiss chefs.

Riders from all countries are welcome, the first drink is paid by the owner. For personal goodbye-parties contact Fritz, and please post your rider's favourite lunch.

The original Fanta-Bar was led by Big BQ. Now I see here any nameless guest opening the house, Who might that be? Is it the real pub owner? Or only a copycat? Can we trust him? What's going on?

Keyser Söze offers some Kebab! Unfortunately he doesn't drink alcohol, only blood.

Alex Goop only offers defeats and asks for a "brauhaus" ;)

Luna, you are really polite :) In fact, the bar is still managed by me, and as long as I am in semi-retirement I have more time for the bar's management. As it seems, it was just a plain fault by me, that an unknown guest was the creator of the thread. Although I was logged in, the system wanted a username for the post. And when I typed my ID all I got was the nagging answer "username already in use", so I skipped the name ... Just an "error 40" ;)

Nevertheless, Fritz and his chef Ernst are going for their first "Michelin-star", so everyone is welcome who has a good recipe for the bar's kitchen.

Fine. Nice to see you.

I will have two retiring riders in the near future. Akoojee an O'Reileigh. And I thought more than once about signing your Johannes. Although I actually don't want german riders in my team, I would maybe make an exception for a member of that family. But I have to think further about it. Maybe it's time for my first youth rider since half a year.

ronnie drew, dominating pave rider in the first half of the year 2010 in the sausage division(2 stage wins and yellow jersey at sachsen paves, victory at paris-roubaix,2nd place gp schelde, the last one even in the elite race...) orders a pint of the black gold and a full irish breakfast with extra black pudding and fried tomatoes, and goes hiding out in the back of the bar, hoping nobody will find him there and sign his lazy,33year old ass until the month is over...

Not much going on here recently ... Maybe the Fanta-Bar needs a big party to lure some more guests in again. Esteban Trueba (and his old friend Miguel Hidalgo) throws a big party today and is inviting everybody to have 54 Pisco Sours with him. Juicy steaks will also be provided, if the cook is still in business.

Hannes Büchel is already drunk! Andrea Clavadetscher asks who Trueba is and Severino Nicolosi looks for the women. And Luis Thuilliez is fighting with Vittorio Vittoria.

Oh, I forgot to look in the dungeons of the bar, there's still some "Alkoholleichen" lying around. Anyway, free drinks for them, too.

Of course the cook's still around, though one of the local restaurants around was the first to gain the michelin-star. Bad Dirk Maus of the "Domherrnhof" serving Duck liver, licorice and dried fruit as a starter! As if a bike-racer ate that!

First day, Daniel Clavadetscher and Ronny Beck stumble out of the bar in the morning. Heard rumours they left a recipe for Pizokels: http://www.graubuenden.ch/gastronomie-s ... okels.html

Ah yeah, please no drinks for them anymore. Hannes Büchel and Andrea Clavadetscher, the other guests and former Team FL riders, are worried about their "young" lads...

Certainly all the lost guests became a part of the bar. It is a shame nobody archived the old forum, so I can't remember all guys who were there.
