Climber of the year 2011

Post by Robyklebt » Thu Dec 01, 2011 4:58 pm

Ok, to the other awards this year too... 2009 Allagen did, he forgot to put a limit to the votes so we still could vote for Reynolds vs Leupold if the forum hadn't crashed... 2011 Lizard, he seems gone. So ok ok, I'll just do it:

Rules. From Dec. first to Dec 15th nominate riders. Max. 3 nominations per person. No need to make an order. No need to nominate riders already nominated by others. Around Dec. 15th Roko Keko will put all the nominated riders in a vote. If there are more nominated riders than there is places in the vote, the ape will simply decide himself which 15? 20? riders get a place in the vote. Ah, he'll draft FL and NoPik to help him in the decision. but unlikely it happens. If it happens, the reasons given for the nomination will be taken into account.

Here: Climber of the year. Nominations are open.

Erwin Schrödinger: 22 wins 2 Giro stages plus points jersey, 3 tour stages.
Morgan Mugabe: Giro 1 stage, mountain jersey and GC. Tour 4 stages, mountain classification and mountain jersey and 2nd GC. Vuelta 3 stages and mountain jersey. 1 stage, mountains jersey and 2nd GC at the TdS as well.
Ange Girard: "Only" 8 wins, impressive overall. 2nd Giro, 1st Tour, 2nd Vuelta. Only one GT stage win, Vuelta. 2 TdS stage wins and third GC. Often on the podium, only one stage race win, the Tour. Against the Skull Huber.

No, logic really, if you get the classification you get the jersey! Thought write it in case somebody didn't know 8-)
After all there are classifications that don't give a jersey!

Toni Stachel: Not because he has won so much but with a maximum of 85 he got on the poidum at Giro, Vuelta, Dauphine,Andes, won Tirreno the points classification at Tirreno, Vuelta, Pais Vasco ...

A very good allrounder and he got the 20k eternal points, with his skills very fantastic

Fascinating that nobody nominated any of the Radlers here... would have expected that... one with TdF stages and KoM, Vuelta stages and Vuelta, the other dominating the fantasy season... Jura, Andes, Yemen with lots of stage wins. mmh, but too late!
