Awards, please read!

Post by Lizard » Thu Dec 16, 2010 10:22 pm

I am sorry, but I don't have the time to put the polls in today. I'll do it tomorrow after my exam (that's the reason). I let the poll go longer for that and accept the nominations done today aswell. I hope you understand, thanks.

LET THE VOTINGS BEGIN! 15 DAYS TIME FOR EVERY THREAD!

As this time not that many users were nominating and many riders were called only once I made it either "Who comes first gets in" or "Allagen gets only 1/2 of his three nominations". I think that is okay.

Use this old Wizard thread for more stuff..

Any awards missing? If yes, write it here. As new award master I'll only write the write up for the awards I approve  So if you think an award is missing, write it here, if it sounds good to me I'll approve it.

Was thinking about ugliest jersey award too, but only makes sense if then the winner would be forced to change it.... so didn't do it, plus we want positive awards
was thinking about poster of the year too. Hoping to increase quality posts in the forum... but well, won't happen, plus would have been FL vs NoPik anyway, those 2 guys need no award.

Oh, you want an award that Fabulous wins`?

Won't do it. Reason, where is the limit?
Fabulous wasn't a real pure flat sprinter either btw. 54-62 at his best I think. There were cases where he dropped most or all of the competition to go for it alone too. So he's not pure either. He himself, not completely pure, but add his team and it's almost a "hill sprinter" team... always 60-80 or similar to help, Uzielli, Haryono, even the flat riders with 53+ mountain. Another 54-62 with a weaker mountain team might not get some of the wins Fabulous got. then that 54-62 would count as pure flat sprinter? The same thing with Cordero, his mountain skill was not that of the typical hill sprinter, it was the tam that made it so. So already 2 problems, where to put the limit, 54-62 for me is not pure already. Second problem, unfair to kick out a 54-62 non pure sprinter with a "flat team", that can't profit from his skill like Fabulous sometimes did.
Cordero is a sprinter, point over.
Limit at 50? So the 51-60 is a hill sprinter? Then we need to add the cat 51-55, 55-60 etc etc.
Just win MSR dammit, then you'll get the award! OR, improve your scouting, Honorez, really

Do the polls for the awards now, don't forget to vote.

In case I forgot to include a nomination, tell me, will try to add it...
Spelling mistakes, sorry, usually just copy the spelling of the nominiation, unless it looks wrong, then maybe change it to what I think it looks like. Some of the first names wrong too maybe, just go from memory if the nominator didn't put a first name... so Silvetta.. Thorsten I think. so T. Silvetta, might be something else.. or if I have no clue, just ?. Bakkerud, no clue what his first name is. Not going to check that for the bunch of morons you guys are.

Don't forget to vote for the RIDER OF THE YEAR, still no poll there, write down your top 5.

Polls end on January first in the morning...

How about a new system next year? Take some managers like Robyklebt, NoPiko, Olmania etc and let them decide who the best rider of the year was... and DONE.

Go ahead by example. By claiming you don't participate because the others are idiots you just become an idiot too.

Do it like the ape. Vote and call the others idiots.,

The ape announces now: I won't sit ANYBODY in 2012 who doesn't vote for the rider of the year award.

Merry christmas to the voters, a nice fuck you to the rest.

I voted, never said anything else.

But first nobody wants to write a damn thing, and in addition we have to tell them they should vote ? Maybe we could even vote in their place ?
I'm too lazy for that, you know. ;)
