Hi, i would like to give my new leader the surname van Effelterre , a surname with a space between van and x is common in Belgium. However the system doesn't accept this space. Would my leader lose his nationality if i deleted the space?

The correct naming for a rider in this game would be "vanEffelterre" as family name.
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

dewi iwan is correct, here is the proof.
Dewi ([ˈdɛwiː], also [ˈdauwiː] or [ˈdeːwiː]) is an alternate or diminutive form of the Welsh masculine given name Dafydd ("David").

It is most famously borne by the patron saint of Wales, Saint David (Welsh: Dewi Sant).

It may also refer to:
Dewi Bebb, a Welsh rugby player
Dewi Bridges, a Welsh bishop
Dewi Griffiths, a Welsh television producer and radio host
Dewi Morgan, a Welsh bard
Dewi Morris, a rugby player who played for England
Dewi Nantbrân,
Dewi Zephaniah Phillips, a Welsh philosopher

Iwan is a masculine given name and a surname.

It is a Welsh and Cornish name related to Ifan and derived from the Latin Johannes.
Dafydd Iwan, Welsh folk singer and politician
Emrys ap Iwan, Welsh literary critic and writer on politics and religion
Llion Iwan, Welsh journalist, documentary producer, and author

hopes this helps.

Hello,

Anthelme Neige de Savoie lost his nationality today... He is the son of Alexandre Neige de Savoie and the nephew of Christian Neige de Savoie well known riders from the 2013/2014 years.

Neige and De Savoie are french familly name I do not understand why Anthelme lost the nationality.

Cheers,
Hugo

Then show me, from a serious source, a venezuelan citizen with the name de la hoya please. Or from another spnaish speaking latin country. Cause I could not find any.

Depends. Will he be called:

- Mayumi Yamamoto, or
- MayumiCindy Yamamoto, or
- Cindy Yamamoto

Also ".." is not possible when namimg a rider ;)

The NC-Guidelimes state:
§1(2) Nicknames (f.e. „Katsche“ Schwarzenbeck), artist names (f.e. „DJ Ötzi“) or fantasy names (f.e. „Pepsi Cola“, „Baum Stamm“) are not allowed. Riders with such names will be made stateless.
The exception is, if a person is mainly known undee that name, f.e. Jeff Bridges, whose real name would be Jeffrey Bridges. I don't know anything about Cindy Yamamoto though, but i would give the benefit of the doubt.

For me it would be okay as I see the your point and as it was explained with reason why. Hunsrueck seems fine with it too, so the rider will have at least two out of three needed "OK"s ;).

But I guess you could also argue against it according to the NC-Guidelines. Anyway, we've been told to not be too overly nitpicking (De La Hoya has that opinion too I guess)... As said, I am fine with it.
