You very obviously completely missed the point

It was meant as : DON'T USE SITES YOU DON'T ACCEPT AS EXAMPLES TO SHOW SOMETHING WHEN THE SITE AGREES WITH YOU.

You can't accept a source if it validates your point and not accept it if it doesn't. That's simply dishonest.

Since we all know that you won't accept it when it shows something like Perico as a first name, don't post it.

keep quiet? Yes, that's what you would like. Nobody that asks what the rules are.. you know what, if there were any rules, if me and the rest of the users actually knew what the guidelines were, then I could keep quiet. So let's see, if you can help me, what are the guidelines?

It's a sad joke by now.

Ein Wunder ist geschehen!

After over a year, the public has finally be informed of the guidelines!
Why did none of you have the idea to actually post this earlier? You had guidelines all along but all chose to let the managers stay ignorant?

Why shouldn't you be allowed to post it?

Managers have to KNOW what names they have to give, until today the information wasn't to be found anywhere.

Good that the rules are public. But anyway, point 1 ("realstic") and point 4 still leave the decision mainly to the deciding member of the committee...

so you have rules, but they are outdated, what does that mean, you don't work according to them?

and now you, the nations committee is talking about new rules. any plans to inform us lowly subjects of the new rules once they are done?

I cannot agree with rule nr 2. You cannot ban any XXX Durand from france because there once was a Jacky Durand. It is a common name. Armstrong too, etc...

Plus, those rules are in german, which makes them automatically out of order. :)

Have you really read it? And understood? It's written explicitly that you CAN have a well-known familiy name with a different surname (like Pierre Durand for example). Just not a Jaky Durand or a Jacky Durant or a Jacky Durand, if the latter already exists at RSF.
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

that's my job...

i think you misunderstood 2... it says jackie durand, jaky durand, jacky durant are out. not sidney, kilian and theophile durand.

not sure what the last part of 2 means though.

bah, fl faster, i post it anyway..

Ok I see.

That's why german can't be allowed, which show's that I'm right as usual. :geek:

Hallo liebes Nationenkomitee,
