This rider is an almost perfect 20yo sprinter, at least in mountain, flat, sprint, low TT and low Reg (although 7x downhill would make him even more perfect). So for me it is totally normal that people bid high on such a rider. 3 Mio? Well, some riders even cost that much. So why not bid that much if you are a sprintteam and want this almost perfect 20yo sprinter?

The problem with this example is: The market value might be low because of low reg and low TT. But contrary do stage race riders, helper, or whatever that is exactly what makes a sprinter valuable (lower salary). So the market value does not represent the value for a sprint team. Maybe 3 Mio. are a bit too much, 2,5 Mio. would represent it better looking at the bids, but well, if you desperatly want him... Get my point?

1 day earlier a 48-58-50-50-81 with 46 reg went for... 2,1 millions. 17k over the market value.

Look, if you don't stop calling the riders drivers I'll lose my patience and start insulting you. It's RIDERS.

Hey :)

Although i already spend some time on RSF I'm still new here.
But "new people" can bring fresh air into certain topics so I'll just give you some shots about possibilities how to change the transfer system.
For sure there will be bad ideas, even worse ideas and even more worse ideas :P But I'd like you to discuss ideas which are good and skip the bad ideas - so we won't stuck at them.
Here we go.

First of all I want to remove the division market split.
Everyone should be able to buy the same riders.

Youthriders: Every youth develops different, there is no guarantee for becoming a star. At the moment it feels like Div 6-7 has way more good riders than div 1-5. If we put the markets together It would be way better. (Keep auction system!)
Good teams should gain more money than bad teams. Right know a lot of teams have to pay a lot of fee to sell riders, so they often even keep the bad ones. Meanwhile the "new" team can properly sell and buy drivers until he has a superb team...
Conclusion: Be lucky / have patience and you will get a good team.

My idea to fix it:
We need a market with good riders. Only a few superstars.
This would mean lower division teams can't afford superstars anymore.
If now a good team buys a potential superstar and he skips some training he can sell him with the normal fee on (e.g. 50%).
Value 4 Mio, Sold for 2 Mio. The rider gets on the market with auction system. (Like now). Since good/superstar rider are rare low-division teams have to buy those riders to get an okay team. (less random created good drivers on market needed)
Here comes the change: If the rider is bought by someone xy % of the buying price goes to the team which sold him.
e.g. someone buys that rider for 4 mio 25% -> 1 mio goes to the "good" team which trained that rider.

Hello I have another proposal for market D6 (ex D5)

I saw a lot of teams who let them fall back in D6 for buy best rider for low prices..
A good sistem for avoid that is give to the riders less skill in D6 market.

Example..
56 - 74 could be 55 - 73 max
73 - 56 could be 72 - 55 max
82 sprint could be 81
77 tt could be 76
56 - 66 sprint could be 54 - 64

Just little difference but maybe we should avoid to see strong team make shopping in D6 and come back after 8 month kicking ass of all

P.S.

Proposal N°2 Should be:"100% only in D6 market, no 95% bid" But don't like that.. Sometimes We should bid for 105% of a rider or more!

We can't find a 73-xx in D6-7 market , 72 is the highest skill and rarely found , always 71's , for sprinters even a 81 dosen't exist ,80 is max .

Climbers (max. 72 mountain), sprinters (max. 80 sprint) and time trialists (max. 75 TT) are already adapted to Div. 6/7 youth transfer market.

In constrast, classic riders, pavé specialists and flat riders are still the same as for the Div. 1-5 youth transfer market.
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

Cancel young market for d6 is the best solution, no ?

No, keep the young riders market for D6, but as everybody agrees, weaken it for all type of riders, not just the ones that are weakened now. Logic too... lower category teams can sign riders early too, but the top riders won't want to join them. So... offer a weakened D6-7 market. FL is really the specialist on this topic, he should tell us how they should be.

That's not that difficult. I would suggest the following max. start values for D6/7 riders on the youth transfer market:

Flat in general max. 73 -> still good
Classic riders max. with 55 mountain (thus 55-73 max) -> still good.
Sprint for flat riders max 64
Pavé max. 74

Downhill could also be maxed at 77, but as this is a B-Skill only, it doesn't matter that much.

A 55-73-77 ^with 64 sprint would still be possible, even with 74 pavé. Or a 49-73-77 with 74 pavé.
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

It needs to be a compromise anyway...
Reality would be.... max 67 mountain, max 76 sprint, something like that. But for the game would be bad, we would make it senseless for D6 teams to buy young riders. They will never be able to compete with them against the higher divisions, evne when they manage to move up.
So weaken them, but not too much.
Only 80 sprint is actually already a pretty big weakening.
55-73 in comparison is not much, could go down to 55-72 or 54-73 IMO.
Important though not to forget the combinations, Hubers and so on, or even just the normal climbing-TT combination.

Better 54-73 than 55-72. And yes, combinations not to forget, esp. for my safe with all the money. Otherwise buying riders might be difficult anyway.

Because it help more team in reconstruction or multi than new player. I don't say riders must be bad, but flat guys at 71/72, classic at 53/72, pavé at 72 max, sprinter at 80 looks enough.

You forget something. A lot of teams with long term management will leave div 6 and go up. If this teams try to go via youth riders they will have a big disadvantage for about 10-12 years.

Right now there must be a big big warning to all new teams: the youth market at div 6 got a big disadvantage and noone who want to go far should buy youth climber or sprinter there.

In my opinion 1 less in every in every skill should be enough. These are still very good riders, and it should be enough to end the complains about the better market in div 6. Who does really profit from the div 6 market? New team, teams after a longer break and teams that ride very little. I do not think this teams dominate C4F, so there is no reason to make it even more difficult for such teams.

Well, so back here with my favorite topic : Fast Decrease Of Price Till 75% (FDOPT 75)!

Actually, if I'm still up to date, the price of a rider after being decreases fast till 85% of it, then really slow (or not, depends of the caracts, age, time).

In order to give more opportunity for these sold riders to get a new chance, I would propose a fast decrease till 75% of the price.
I see only advantages in it. Normally, we don't talk about extraordinary riders here. Old leaders already sold, Young superstars who failed in training, ... But who can still be usefull for some teams, It their price is interesting and if they are not 32-33 when you can finally afford it or think it's a financial good deal. And furthermore, if they are so interesting, concurrency for them will regulate the prices of course (as it already do at the moment).

Would be not a problem for me. But the system works now, too. But if many users want this, i would change it.
