Giro 2020 - 19:00

Okay so lets also give the evening giro a thread. I´ll surely start here:

Following Riders are set:

1 - Franz Bereuter - GC Captain (and also for some stages maybe)
2 - Stefan Hörburger - Most powerful hill helper
3 - Manfred Kessler - Stage Captain
4 - Ludwig Wetzel - Hill Helper and developing classic rider
5 - Simon Nenning - See Ludwig
6 - Istvan Györi - Flat and Reg Bomb
7 - Daniel Raid - Our strongest flatriders ... with hill and downhill and sprint yes he will be there just because he has to

Riders with chances:

x - David Bereuter - New young second captain ... giro might be too early for him
x - David Hämmerle - We want to have a look at the sprint stages
x - Raimund Fink - Might have chances if we go for the full Bereuter team
x - Max Sinz - If Hämmerle is in he will be in

Nearly surely out:

x - Martin Nenning - Would be a cheap flat rider with reg but we have Hörburger for that on the flat stages then ... maybe if Trojer is fully drunk when inscribing ...

Surely out:

x - Christian Knapp - Just no place for him there ... too less flat for a sprintblocker, no reg

Hansa will start here.

Maybe a bit to expensive but we will try to win the Giro. But we dont know how that is possible^^

7:00 p.m. Giro 2020 - Jäger LeCultre

The team for which Giro stands.
Since there are currently only 9 riders in my team, everyone will come along.

Rudi Schwyzer: 86-55-77-65tt Reg: 53 (caps for GC)
Anton Gsiberger: 76-77-63-76-61 Reg: 47 (strongest helper and plan b)
Simon Neumann: 71-75-75 Reg: 42 (helper for up and downhill)
David Moser: 69-80 Reg: 59
Heinz Deutscher: 65-83-73 Reg: 65
Roland Konzet: 65-80 Reg: 62
Willibald Bregenzer: 63-80-77-60tt Reg: 58
Gerhard Linzer: 57-86-68 Reg: 60
Jan Holländer: 60-59-81sp Reg: 51 (in some stages for sprint, otherwise helpers)

Goal for this giro: (depending on who registers everything)
- Try GC or at least in the top 3
- 2 stage wins
- second rider in the top 10 GC

The team is quite expensive but this was already foreseeable in the planning. € 646,746

Hansas Favo check:

Classement

***** Rudi Schwyzer (Jäger-LeCulture) 86 mountain with 65 TT and a strong team for him. Lets see if someone can attack im in the mountains.
**** Simba Tawanda (RC Cost) 84 Mountain with 72 TT and a 85 Mountain as Helper. with 40 regeneration he lacks there but if he can cut down the time loss in the mountains he may do it.
**** Artur Wasas (Bonebreakers) 88 mountain 51 TT also some very good helpers he may be the guy to attack in the Mountains. with 44 also lacks in regeneration,
*** Aubrey Jackson (Semper Fidelis) 86 Mountain 51 TT, has a 84 as a helper and with 65 regeneration is very strong there. also 80 downhill is helpful.
*** Simon Kreuzer/Flurin Kutti (Hansa) both with 85 mountain with 51/53 TT and 58/65 regeneration. If the stronger teams fight each other maybe one of them get his chance.
** Patrick Weber/Waer Kiab 85/86 Mountain 55/52 Time Trial but with 42/45 reg they may be a bit weak here but lets see.
*Dominik Hrom 87 Mountain with 65 but just 49 TT 57 downhill and 41 regeneration it will be very hard. also not the strongest helpers but with good hanging he may can do it.

Point classement

***** David Hämmerle(Team Trojer Velau) 93 sprint strongest sprinter. strong flat team but no good sprint helpers still think he can do it.
****Leander Hediger (Hansa) 74-74- with 72 Sprint and won a flat sprint already. If he get more very good sprints in flat stages he may have a chance.
*** Laurent Fressinet (Jockelsteam) Full sprinter team here. 81 sprint as helper and good flat team if he wins these flat stages it could be enough
*Artur Wasas (Bonebreaker) 88 moutnain 58 sprint already got some Sprint points he will get more on the flat stages. if he wins most of the mountain stages and places good on hilly stages he could get a chance.

Mountain Classement

***** Artur Wasas (Bonebreakers) 88 Mountain if he takes the Points on the Mountainstages he may win it
**** Chris Kjaer (Bonebreakers) 71-81 If he keeps going for it he could get it. But just 49 downhill and 41 regeneration
**** Martin Spree (Rsc Spree) 72-70-70 46reg but no team to help so could be difficult
**** Any other classicer or Mountainguy who tries for Red.

Youth rider

***** Gustavo Gutierrez (Semper Fidelis) 84 Mountain 52 tt but possibly just a helper and just 44 reg
****Pauline Bremer (Schappy) 80 Mountain 54 TT should be the Captain here so if Gustavo is just a helper he can do it.
** Leo Konig (Celteam) 80 Mountain 64 TT but very likely just a helper.
No one else is worth to mention here.

Stage Report:

Stage 1 Time trial Doris Fisher (LombardInvest) wins nothing surprising.

Stage 2 An early group goes fighting for red Bone with a classic vs Spree with 60-80. At the forst hill kms Hansa siebs and keeps riding in peloton, Jockels team riding behind do bring back his sprinter. Due to this Front group gets caught but after some time Jockelsteam comes back and Hansa stops. A new group attacks with Celteam,Waerl,Hansa and Lünen. Except Hansa everyone bring a puller. Good cooperation in the group Jockel and Trojer Riding for their sprinter in Peloton. mid race at a 5 Hansa siebs again. Peloton gets confused doesnt. Trojer doesnt wait immediately for Jockels Helper some kms later He waits and the group gains some time. Jockel and Trojer speeding up in the front group all are working together.
At the 6% soem kms from the finish line Hansa siebs again. tries to ride for his classic sprint but no help from other classic Sprinter. Waits for Jäger who rides for his Hill Sprinter in the back Jockel and Trojer try to bring back the sprinter. the Jäger/Hansa Group gets caught by Jockel and Trojer but they miss out on catching the 4 rider escape group with 10 secs. in the front group Celteam takes the win.
Maglia Rosa Stays on Doris Fisher

Stage 3 An earlie group goes with 14 guys but again fighting fro red. Jockel and Trojer controlliung with a short gap. mora and more rider from the front group drops till 5 guys are left. But they give up with still many kms to go. 12 kms before the Finsih line Cost attacks with 2 flat guys and Lünen follows but trojer and Jockel doing a good job catching them back and get their sprint.
Weird sprint with Trojer with an own train and jockel in his wheel. Hansa with a train pretty earlie in front. Mid sprint Trojer tries to speed up going with his 62 sprint guy for his sprinter but the sprint gets blocked and Hansas train gain a big advantage. Leander (Hansa) with 72 also just a 62 in his wheel will go his sprint from 150m and wins it.

[Chense]

Well dislike to write about my own win but still lets do it:

First Stage 4: (bah forgot most of it already)
As some teams wanted the red jersey we saw a group not willing really to win what led to a late Trojer attack including Hörburger. As the teams in the back reacted well it was caught again on the foot of the last hill. So a group including Lokke and Vasas from Bone and Celteam could go away 3 Seconds with the lucky end for Bone

Stage 5:
Not too much happened in the first part (excluding jockels and trojers sprinter going for the 1st sprint with the better end for Trojer) Sprinters then were siebed pretty soon which made hansa control for the second sprint. After he attacked for it and nobody followed Trojer decided to send Raid and the little Bereuter (Hansa: missclicked?). As the tempo in the field kept low the Trojers decided to go for the stage and send Kessler and Big Bereuter behind to form a 4 man group that then was joined by Hansas 2 guys after the sprint and Lünen who attacked one km later. Trojer went with Raid and Bereuter until 113 then siebing with kessler who made some really brave tempo until the start of the etna climb leading to an advantage of nearly 4 Minutes. Then big Bereuter overtook the lead going alone for the finish what finally ended up in a nearly 2 Minutes lead against the strongest mountain rider (Waerl) with Hansa and Lünen in between.
In the end Bereuter was really lucky as he overtook rosa and the mountain jersey for at least some days.
