C4F World Tour 2019

Post by Laurens88 » Tue Mar 17, 2020 12:21 pm

I got inspired by Poke's World Tour statistics for 2020, so made a similar list for 2019. Like Poke, I gave points only the top 3 of classics and tours and to stage winners in tours. I gave no malus for small pelotons, but ignored results from races starting with less than 4 teams. Here are the top 10's!

Via Google Docs you can find the full lists, including statistics about which rider got the most points for each team. Enjoy. :)

Top 10 riders by points
1. Laurent Bram Lorient 5745
2. Mohamed Bouzidi TeamSWE 4145
3. Georgi Svidirenko Freudenfeuer 4020
4. Mariya Takeuchi Pokemonogatari 3730
5. Houssem Matoussi CircleCycle 3475
6. Ariel Levy RS Coesitz 3290
7. Hisashi Matsuyama Big Donkey 2855
8. Aloysio Maia RC Cost 2840
9. Khalid Ouazzani Team Atlas 2575
10. Sarquon Barkley Haudegen 2570

The usual suspects Bram, Bouzidi and Svidirenko form the top 3. Tour podia and GT stage wins are driving this top 10, so we see almost only climbers. Interesting thing is that Takeuchi rarely won stages, but did well in most GC's in big tours and therefore earned a fourth place in this list.

Top 10 riders by wins
1. Laurent Bram Lorient 21
2. Ariel Levy RS Coesitz 19
3. Georgi Svidirenko Freudenfeuer 17
4. Aloysio Maia RC Cost 14
5. Jacob Jefferson Gipfelstuermer 13
6. Houssem Matoussi CircleCycle 12
6. Khalid Ouazzani Team Atlas 12
8. Mohamed Bouzidi TeamSWE 11
9. Sarquon Barkley Haudegen 10
9. Harlem Gnohere team FCSB 10

This top is dominated by the riders who won lots of stages in GT's. Sadly some pelotons in GT's had only one good climber, who won like 6 stages per GT. But it's interesting to see riders like Levy and Jefferson in the top 10 as well.

Top 10 teams by points
1. Lorient 9970
2. RS Coesitz 9175
3. CircleCycle 8800
4. Pokemonogatari 7235
5. Liquigas-CND 6820
6. Alkworld 6760
7. RC Cost 6400
8. Feiting Siebing 6215
9. SV Furpach 6210
10. Tukhtahuaev 6165

As expected, Lorient and Coesitz rule this top 10 by winning both classics and tours.

Top 10 teams by wins
1. RS Coesitz 47
2. CircleCycle 43
3. RideForMoney 36
4. Lorient 32
5. Gipfelstuermer 28
6. Freudenfeuer 26
7. SV Furpach 25
8. Tukhtahuaev 23
9. RC Cost 22
10. Feiting Siebing 21

Coesitz had the right riders this year for stage wins. Also stage hunters CircleCycle and RideForMoney did well.
