Oh cool, two already with same aims :mrgreen:

Btw: this time going for Top 5 general classement, but after missing the prologue will be very hard.

And I´ll make after a long time a favourites´ check list, hopefully tomorrow.

Oh boy... was in the wrong GC as I was making the checklist. Now again:

General classement:

*** Hattori Hanso
** Martin Reimer
* Arzhang Daadaa, Makoto Togugawa

I think pretty clear here... Hanso pavés and time trial, all he needs. Climbing good aswell. The rest with chances if mistakes happen, but Samurais should be a clear favourite.

Points classement:

*** Semonville Dylan, Josefo Giacomo
** Jalel Wazari, Michel Lepetit
* Best of the rest

U25 classement:

*** Arzhang Daadaa
** Dick Eickendreyer
* Rolmulo Maracaibo

I think only Dick has a chance of trying to compete with Daadaa. Though the missed ITT is hard to catch up for him, so most possibly Daadaa will take the classement.

Team classement:

*** Samurais
** Team Ruhrgebiet
* Crissler, Wizards Cycling

Obviously for Samurais.

Today, yes a good start right from the beginning after the missed prologue (just can´t get it out of my head^^). I just wonder why Loipinen is not in my wheel? It is a 100% sure that Clausen is at least strong as Loipinen and at 4% he can easily follow.

Yes... interesting stage after long time rolling in the peloton. The attack was good, but at the beginning was clear that wouldnt be successful unfortunately. But Samurais who already was looking forward to my help in the upcoming stage will surely have a new opponent, because you see everyone twice in your life, and next time will be not the best. Stupid brake in tempo. Stupid excuses.

GW Elaska btw, I hope not to see you in Mark´s wheel the next sprint. *g*

Well, today no chances for siebs, I guess the sprinters will easily be able to produce a bunch sprint. So, then to yesterdays´ stage: was interested how Samurais would handle it, and in the beginning he did quite a good job. Isolating as many as possible and himself with all riders. Me with 5 riders, a comortable situation since I only really had to keep Clausen on 1000, and if possible also Eickendreyer.. worked a long time. Crissler with 4 riders, enough to watch Samurais and have a chance against him. And then at an important double attack he´s not there but afk. OMG, now I had to save his ass because of my stage, I didn´t like the situation but what else should I do? I couldn´t ride differently, maybe try to keep Dick with an early attack, but too dangerous to try. So by that Daadaa still in the race, else Samurais was easily through with that 2 riders... So kinda weird Daadaa ended up in the same group now, maybe the other days bring up different finishes.

Today! A big step for Clausen towards the points classement, really happy. Though I would´ve won if I only let Clausen in Cosa´s wheel argh! But nevertheless Elaska really made a weak weak race. And then shows a bad attitude afterwards. He wants us talk english, okay, I do. It´s not cool to separate the users. Others follow, and it´s okay. And then blaming us for this BIG mistake for even the second time, what a gag. He could´ve seen the attack coming.

So, now to important things. Crissler good attack, at least 1km too early *ggg*. Else Eickendreyer may win the stage (how I would´ve loved this). But cooperation was good, Katchono + Montufar a great combination. Cosa did everything right that he could, deserved to win today. So let´s see what the other days will bring, there are two sprints left now. Interesting is the fact, that both stages could be sprint aswell as classic win, since there are many possibilities of Siebs.

It is really a very interesting tour.
We must see if it gives next day a sprint or if a group gets again away;) And also in the GC it is even more exciting than I expected.

Well yes, classements. Good subject!

I think I need to renew my favourites:

General classement:
*** Arzhang Daadaa
** Hattori Hanso
* Martin Reimer, Makoto Togugawa

Makoto better than expected, but what his skills make possible in this peloton. Though he is the strongest on the track, the time trial will make him fall. Reimer always some seconds through sprints, but for the coming days he must focus on staying in the right wheel. Today Makoto and Arzhang already took some seconds, and on stage 2 almost a group only with Daadaa. Hanso weak so far, didn´t use his pavé bonus to get rid of Daadaa. Possible: 30 or even more seconds for him. The start was good in the stage around Ronse, but barely used his options. Clausen of course took over in the peloton after the duo attack and winning the stage legitimated this intervention. I think Daadaa won´t lose time on the next stages and will keep the gap in the ITT against Hanso who will end up 2nd. Togugawa may take the last podest place if he keeps up the good work in the last two hilly stages coming up.

Points´ classement:
*** Manuel Clausen
** Jalel Wazari, Mark Enkeevelaert
* Kurt Loipinen

Loipinen did a good job in the last few days. He got himself the maillot jaune for two days already, today lucky against Clausen who made a mistake. Though he did not make enough points to be a real competitant against the other three. I would like to put Enkeevelaert as on outsider (*), but he was strongest on the first stage in the bunch sprint and also ended up 2nd and 6th out of the other sprints. Only Wazari could beat him twice so far, and he is the most dangerous opponent for Clausen. 27 points is not enough to prevent from 60 points for two possible stage wins due to Wazari´s strong performances so far. Though Clausen will surely make points in the last two sprints, but 33 points is too much for him. He´s not a sprinter. He will have to prevent the bunch sprint on the very last chance on the way to Heers. If any group containing five or more riders is through, Clausen will make it. Chances: rather high.

U25 classement:
*** Arzhang Daadaa
** Rolmulo Maracaibo
* Dick Eickendreyer

Since Daadaa is my favourite for the general, he of course is aswell here. No one will take his jersey. Maracaibo is for sure 2nd so far, but Eickendreyer today showed (if not team attack) that there are chances for him. Still the missing seconds we expected at the Oude Kwaremont and the missed prologue hurt his chances. I think there won´t change anything.

Team classement:
*** Samurais
** Samurais
* Samurais

Sure thing.

So, stage 5 was again very interesting. Samurais tried to put some effort in it and created an open stage in several matters.

To start with, the green jersey fight has ended today. Elaska in my opinion did not try hard enough to make a sprint happen. The other sprinter teams should´ve had to help of course. There were some stages when every sprinter team else than Elaska allowed themselves not to work together and today they had to. They also had to, when Cosa Nostra won out of a breakaway group. amor lux bzh, Elaska and RSV Waltrop would´ve been a good start, Cosa Nostra of course needs to help aswell. Because of this disunity the sprinters were not able to take the sprints they need. Tomorrow I don´t except a sprint aswell.

So, young riders´ jersey and team classement is over...

Maillot jaune! Still interesting, Togugawa again with some seconds to his opponents. If Samurais makes a good race tomorrow he can get a double. At least it´s possible, if the others are isolated I think. And then there´s Reimer. He needs to do something. Put helpers in breakaways, escape later on or anything to put himself in a position to attack at a steep climb where his 73 climb actually can make something happen. Daadaa as always only Gear as a real help if necessary, else he has to hope to follow attacks. His victory is not sure so far. Hanso again has a good chance to make time efforts tomorrow at one or two parts in the race, maybe he can use them finally? And there are also whole different things in my mind, I need to prepare, masterplan will be ready tomorrow. :mrgreen:

Elaska is right. Cosa was in the last kms helping me too much. Instead shouldve waited with his attack. Clausen was already in tempo and then Victor attacks? Dont know why... this time a pity for the peloton, good work by Elaska.
