Giro d'Italia 2017 9:00

Post by PeterMeter » Mon May 01, 2017 7:26 pm

Hey.

PeterMeter is ready to ride the first GC since Hugo Hernan Malbranque quit his career.
We want to win stages, earn some money to build our team and lots of funny times.

I will probably start here if there are enough teams in the field...lineup is not so impressive as in 2015 or in 2016 but it's a decent one.

The goal is to to have fun, create huge chaos and why not to win as much as possible even if most probably the only favo will be alk with his 75-66 ...83 TT

If a 75mountain wins the giro all the teams in his field should quit the game forever

Team Alkworld will also be here. Goal is to finish in top 10, somewhere behind the strong climber teams. Maybe we'll also reach some podiums in the TTs.

Last time we rode together (I think pais vasco) you sounded way more optimistic in winning the giro...why that understatement now? ;) But for sure it will be a intersting fit between climbers and Shakespeare.

I will also start here with a team around my 87 climber Mason. Trying to do a podium and win some stages.

I have a really wild suggestion: Let's just wait for Friday and see who's actually riding the Giro. It'll be a lot easier then to see who's the favorite.

MOSCA will be on the turn of the 100th Giro d'Italia, this the team:

1) CONNOR WILSON, Irish climber, winner of Liège-Bastogne-Liège, will be the captain of the team;

2) SERGIO LANDA, a young Spanish climber, will be the first captain's ascent;

3) NICHOLAS WHOLER, classic strong in the mountains;

4) DREW DOCKER, a classic Australian classmate expert, will give a hand in the moving stages;

5) NOEL THOMAS, classic gregarious, will exploit the skills of a downhill skier to help in mid-mountain stages;

6) REINARDT HUNTER, a complete gregar who will help in all lands and could glorify glory with an escape;

7) ROHAN CROMWELL, gregarious, will have the task of getting into some escape;

8) CHRISTOPHER CUMMINGS, a strong passport with great resistance;

9) GEORGE BAUER, Team Leader and Experienced Man, will be useful for great resistance.

The goal is to score with Wilson and Landa. Some climbing up could be a secondary goal.

Haha, Liquigas-RTD scared shitless (or shitting in his pants, somebody will have to check which, I pass) and avoids Zipoli once again! Like the Andes, he knows that he can't beat the great Zipoli (who actually sucks, or at least in combination with his useless manager) so he goes to the morning. And probably plans to ride for Alkworld, after all Alk rode for him 2 years ago. The loser Giro!

But good riddance for the afternoon, no Liquigas-RTD vomiting all over the chat for 3 weeks. Much more fun.

Why would I ride "against" you? You're not an opponent, your a toy. Or a pet.
But stay here, oh unbeatable number 1, we don't need your vomit in the afternoon.

After the 1st mountain stage the situation looks very bad for climbers teams in my opinion and perfect for Alk and his leader Shakespeare (75-66 with 83 TT) who lost only abt 1 min today against the climbers.

Of course Mosca and MG dont realize they are losing early cause they dont have the necessary experience...they never won a GT
If they dont ride together with their classics and their second climbers siebieng early and wildely they are going to lose the GC very early - stage 9...it's their last chance imo.
A climber with 52-54 TT is going to lose at least 8 minutes against this Shakespeare on 69 KM of TT during this Giro and it seems unlikely to have a climber gaining such a gap during the other stages...
During Romandie, Salazar (climber with 54 TT and almost topform) was losing about 9-10 secs/KM against this Shakespeare 83 TT and abt 95 form.

Lets say Shakespeare can lose as follows:
abt 1min30sec -stage 9 ;
abt 20sec - stage 14;
max 2min - stage 16 ;
abt 20sec - stage 18 ;
abt 1min30sec -stage 19
................
total max 6 minutes

so GW alk!

and so he already loosed 1 minute, if every one rides for me than I will be able to defeat him at the finish ;) 70 km TT - 8 minutes taken is okay
