Dauphiné 17h

Post by Radunion » Sat Jun 02, 2012 10:39 pm

This month it is time for the classic hard stage race in France. We have decided to bring a team totally focused on Hermann Schwarz (so no chance for another stage win for Stokes). The target is simple: We want the overall victory or at least a podium. The lineup for the race is as always strong with some deficits in reg

1 Hermann Schwarz - the leader
2 Hermann Minkowski - mountains? he is our man
3 Stanislaw Mazur - the man for the critical situations
4 Beppo Levi - he wants to become a star, but is still a helper
5 Giuseppe Vitali - brings a lot of experience as a top helper
6 Arthur Milgram - not the strongest rider in the team but he still can do some important work
7 Guido Fubini - he will get his chance, but probably not in this tour
8 Johan Jensen - the new kid on the block
9 William Osgood - the young helper

After the first stages it is time to assess the standings of the favorites in the classifications. First of all overall
1. Yericho Christiantoko (Tdot rainbow)
2. Guido Megger (Team Krischan) + 0:06
3. Brent Södersen (Sky riders) + 0:08
4. Pedro Rico (escartinos) + 0:13
6. Hermann Schwarz + 0:18
The fight should be between Megger and Schwarz, everybody else has to find a lot of time in a stage

mountain classement - nothing decided yet, but 2 riders decided to ride for it, maybe a stronger rider joins the fight later
1. Steve Spree (Team Spreeathen) 21
2. Dante Alighieri (Rake Racing) 18
7. Viktor Slatchenkov (XVDEFRANCE) 1

points classement
1. Wout Poels (Kekse) 20
2. Juri Cecovic (Rake Racing) 16
22. Victor Slatchenkov (XVDEFRANCE) 0
If Juri can get top points in the flatter stages he should make it, else it could be a fight between the mountain riders.

youth riders - a clear case for Brent
1. Brent Södersen (Sky riders)
2. Pedro Rico (escartinos) + 0:05
8. Alf Brenner (Bergflitzer) + 0:50

About the team classement we should talk after the time trial

Todays stage should be ideal for Viktor or a strong breakaway.

Before the final stage we have a surprise leader with Cristiantoko, after our Hermann Schwarz finally broke after as he was not able to recover from the very hard time trial. Now Krischan has to find 15 sec for Megger, not impossible but he should not rely in the last 2 km.

For our team the expected desaster was compensated with our second stage win achieved by Hermann Minkowski. Before the start we hoped that nobody realises haw weak Schwarz really is and bring him to the final mountain in the front group (and achieve a decent overall position), but it soon was clear that he was too weak. So we changed tactics and made a daring move with Minkowski together with Mazur and Levi Hermann Minkowski also moved up in the overall into 8th. The expected top 10 is a very good for him personally, but a not what we expected as a team before the race.

Today we will see some fighting at the end of the hard tour. We hope our team is still strong enough to be in the fight.
