Romandie 9 Uhr

Post by Samurais » Fri Apr 22, 2011 3:15 pm

So fange ma an .

Very short term decision, but Team FL will participate to lighten up the morning Giro..äh Romandie.

Line-up:

x1 Mighty Luigi Mastrangelo, il lordo, Winner of La Flèche
x2 Vigilant Fred Colon, our british watchdog
x3 Irresistible Pedro "El Chupo" Garrido, Winner of Het Volk and G-W
x4 The crazy Frenchman: Frantz "the Frantzos" Granvorka
x5 The naughty German: Tim "Jim" Hamberger, 3rd at P-R
x6 Ensign Wesley Lichtenkiesel: "who's my captain?"
x7 The Italian Stallion Tony Longo: "che cazzo fai?!"
x8 The law himself: Hugo "attorney" Marxer
x9 Finally between ficton and reality: Haruki Murakami: "And where exactly is the beach?!"

Perhaps not the Giro line-up, but it's also not afternoon, so, for the morning, its more than good like that for some development cooperation 8-)

Any goals: Nahhh! As usual: Have fun look cool. Well, not very hard in the morning, so I guess a stage will do it too. Perhaps some money and points to further distance frustrate Team Ruhrgebiet in the fight against relegation. Yes, sounds good.

First stage, expected win by Schröder. Fucking Hamberger not even among the Top30!!! But now the favorite check:

GC:
***** Manic
**** J. Nasawa
*** Anderson
** Mastrangelo, Hope
* Other Climbers under 40'' behind Schröder or a lucky escapee

Youth rider:
***** J. Nasawa
**** ---
*** ---
** CostaSantos
* Lucky escapee (cassic rider, likely)

Points:
***** Harper, Puig
**** Mbaki
*** Bamba, Mastrangelo, Hope
** Garrido
* Fogarty

Mountain:
* anybody who wants it...

Well, not the first or the second stage ;)

...which went was expected. Thanks to Manic, the climbers could counter the attack of Heuser and Schrödinger (with Kahlo). Then it was the pure mountain skill of Bamba which decided the stage. Luigi got second, good too, but not a stage win unfortunately. At the same time, Manic got yellow, JPS with Lev red and Samurais white with J. Nasawa. So, nothing surprising. But the race was fun, lots of tempo. Tomorrow wil be another stage for the mountaineers or some lucky escapees (if Samu lets them... hihi).

For the favorite check, nothing really changed so far. Although favorite for red is now Lev Litvinov.

grr. thought it was a good plan, and had a plan b if Manic was siebed but the climbers were still in front at that time. The result wouldnt have been much better if i didnt try it so, no problem. Tomorrow it will be just luck i guess, if the peloton gets to the +6 in the end. WE will all see!

DAMN!!!

Gw Alk. Left alone in tempo, reaction time too late. Manic still GC favorite, but very well done. Also well done be Samurais who did well in distancing Manic for around 20 secs.

Still could eat a hat. Grmpf.

Manic still quite far away from losing ;) But nice action in the race. I only saw afterwards that Samurai even attacked himself. The 30s tact was kind of surprising, mostly because my profile first showed a different switch to 1min than it was in the end. Only refreshing the whole race helped.

I really thougth there would be no chance for Garrido, but then he fighted and Harper did not. So... wait? don't wait? Team FL was very confused. Then, Samurais and EXO did tempo as well in front. So FL went out and... JPS attacked with Mbaki.. Mbeki? Ah, doesn't matter. The bastard who won the stage. At least Longo followed. I wonder what had happed if Garrido would have followed... Anyway. 3rd and 5th, good for the portemonnaie and the points-account. Nothing more.

Tomorrow TT again, FL will not be there. Sunday I have to see how everything goes... If I am not here, I won't disturb a group's chances for sure, not like BMG or... JPS!

He would have had a big "Rattenschwanz" ;) Don't know, if the group even would have gotten away. It would have gotten interesting for me GC-wise. But I was also too distracted by work at the same time, so the Mbaki group was fine for me anyway. That way green seems to be pretty safe for Frida now.

Nice tour, liked it, although it was not really successful for me, also due to my absences. But well, stayed in Div. 1 and gained some money for new youth riders. It was not more than a preparation for the Giro anyway ;)

Congratulations to all the winners, and the rest too for not giving up... :)
