Giro 2024

Post by ATB - Racing » Wed May 01, 2024 12:32 am

ATB - Racing will ride in the evening edition. Blowing away a huge amount of money.
Targets? 2 stages and white (well depending) on the oponnents.

lineup:

#1 Amadeu Capitãodoporto, gc leader, white is what we are here!
#2 Gerhard "the singing bucket wheel excavator operator" Gundermann, classic sprinter
#3 Tayé Wedebiwana, classic with reg and tt, so expensiv but great guy
#4 Amogelang Tshabalala, classic, helper for Gundermann or Amadeu
#5 Cees Schoonmaker, dutch flatrider, with low reg and no sprint, perfect fits to our team
#6 Ferenc Kikötofonök, training hero, with reg
#7 Gerhardt Fuchs, cheap rider and PR winner 2025
#8 Rheos Limenárchis, greek steam machine, no mountain, but flat and reg
#9 Robert Ramsak, sprinter who always took the wrong wheel, at least once beat Aysan ... for p5

#10 Peter Zwegat

So the sleepwalker edition for me as well. As the mountains are too high for Frederick and I do not want to bring a hillsprinter team it means the focus is on flat and reg. With my team, that means reg is just bad and not disastrous.

1 - Pablo Yapuchura - may be his last big captaincy
2 - Ralf Reski - see him on the move in the mountain stages
3 - Oskar Morgenstern - hopes to get some chances
4 - Abraham Wald - strengthens groups in flat stages or terrifies sprinter teams who leave their flat monsters at home
5 - Jacopo Riccati - the hillsprinter helper without hillsprinter
6 - Francis Edgeworth - just to punish him for bad training
7 - Sergio Fajardo - young decent flat and over 40 reg
8 - Shankar Agharkar - young decent flat and over 40 reg
9 - JungHee Cheon - to show him that life in the team can be hard.

Still, too expensive for the ambitions but I hope it will be fun at least.

I do not see a chance, winning flat stages brings so many points. Even the hilly stages are hard to win and I would have to bring the low reg support.

Maybe I switch him in if top 5 in flat stages is realistic.

Because of the unpopular 15h afternoon time, we will start in the evening Giro now.

No.1 Randu…captain

Has been our captain for his whole career. Maybe this will be his first and only GT as our leader.

No.2 Adderley…helper

Cheap helper for every terrain.

No.3 Beere…sprinter

To slow against real sprinter, hopefully get some chances in hilly stages. With an eye on Maglia Ciclamino.

No.4 Chim…helper

Our best flat rider. Maybe get a chance in some breakaways.

No.5 Halim…helper

Important for the pave stage and some breakaways.

No.6 Jebali…classic

Strong classic to support Randu. Will get his chances if the situation allows it.

No.7 McPhee…mountain helper

Because of his lazy training, he is not ready for a leader role. Has to earn this spot for the TdF or will be helper again.

No.8 Musona…helper

Decent helper for every terrain.

No.9 Yeang…helper

The young gun in our team will be the one with most work I guess. Hopefully he will reach Rom.

525k salary pretty much without a real GC favorite. Let’s see how far we get and what we can achieve!

Podium and some stages are our goals!

Waerl participates in the evening edition for reasons related to the engineering work of his manager, who is very disappointed not to be able to compete against Hansa, his splendid best opponent, at least for now. Let's get to the lineup: Ciab is the captain and is aiming for at least one stage and the podium - Kardciab (vice captain) runs the lap in preparation for the tour de france and aims for the ranking of best young person (white) - Vysocina will support her captains in the mountain stages - Kiaboc aims for a stage and to help her captains -Reichle and Thayden are aiming for the mountain classification and some escapes-Floods and Johan precious support in all stages-Weiss will help with his knowledge and experience in the group

Sorry I switched to early evening. The risk to start with a big salary and than fall asleep at to many stages was to big.

Wish you all the best and good luck!
