Tour Down Under 10h

Post by Alkworld » Sun Jan 20, 2013 1:33 pm

The new season may begin and Team Alkworld is ready to defend its title in Adelaide. The line-up should be close to the following:
- Pedro Almodovar - trying to win a stage while making a movie
- Pablo Picasso - trying to be the first on top to have some time for painting
- Francisco Santander - accompanying Pablo, most of the time
- Caetano Veloso - helping everyone with his songs
- Carlos Cespedes - doing the ground work
- Federico GarciaLorca - writing and riding (not to be confused)
- Luis Costales - pretending to be a 70-80 rider
+ two more helpers doing lots of tempo, if required

Probably Brath Rhum Factory There.

With No Leader (Both Kyle and Gerard may be on Holiday) And no Ambition.

Most Probably Lineup

-Obadele "Obi Uan" Brathwaite
-John "Little Bottle of Rum" Brathwaite
-Rick "Fr_e_d plus ''i_n''" Brathwaite
-Fred "You need help" Brathwaite
-Abel "Muzzo" Muzorewa
-Mark "I will escape" Huges
-Aaron "AAA Doing tempo needed" Brathwaite
-Ayrton "Australia isn't Imola" SennaDaSilva
-Peter "Rum Drunker Champion" Brathwaite

Cheap team, cheap target, no interest on anything

Little Change in Lineup this time:

Fournier reach the Australia instead of Peter.

Perfect, Team Alkworld has to do 0 (zero, nothing, nada, rien, nix) work then

What's so difficult about the term "I try"?!

FIrst stage, Nice Coop in chasing in the back.

Fournier makes a late Split of the group, some dead and weak riders lost sometime but the main group reach the Mass Sprint.

Pedro Almodovar Took the right wheel, Obi-Uan make his good decision but despite his form he's not the best sprinter of the field, so he ends in second position.

This is the final situation.
1. 00:00:00 Pedro Almodovar (Alkworld)
2. 00:00:00 Obadele Brathwaite (Brath Rhum Factory)
3. 00:00:00 Rene Montesquieu (Rasmussenbank)
4. 00:00:00 Geo Kray (La Cabana)
5. 00:00:00 Peng Feng (RV Allagen)

GC Leader: Pedro Almodovar (Alkworld)
Green Jersey Leader:Pedro Almodovar (Alkworld)
White Jersey Leader :Obadele Brathwaite (Brath Rhum Factory)
Red Jersey Leader: Volmari IsoHollo (RV Allagen)

Definitely a nice first stage yesterday. And I'm not sure, if this was a perfect chase with a last km catch or just plain luck. And Pedro seemed very successful in convincing Thomas not to win. Clear favorite for the GC is Fournier, he's practically unbeatable ;)

Stage 2

Interesting situation today. Fournier act as real favo but he can't hang on last km attack by Rasmussen's Raczinski.
Picasso still back with Gerard. The lucky one is Killi Leonard, He gains p2 on stage and 9'' on GC in front of other climbers.
But this Raczinski has still some advantage. Tomorrow is a more "fun" stage for him, he can gain some other seconds.

23.01.2013,10 Uhr Down Under : Tour Down Under Stage2: Mt. Barker to Rostrevor: Mittelschwere Etappe
1. 00:00:00 Amadeusz Raczinski (Rasmussenbank)

3. 00:00:00 Kepa Gaztelua (RV Allagen)
4. 00:00:02 Shou Tanaka (Haudegen)
5. 00:00:04 Frank Erne (Team Bavaria)

GC Leader: Amadeusz Raczinski (Rasmussenbank)
Green Jersey Leader:Pedro Almodovar (Alkworld)
White Jersey Leader :Sjaak Hemerlink (Rasmussenbank)
Red Jersey Leader: Thomas Bhuta (BerndSport)

Fantastic Work by Rasmussen today, and also fantastic and lucky tactic by the duo Nopik/Brath.

Probably the GC favo now isn't a climber, but let's see.
In the end, a bunch of riders come across the finish line with 2'' less than the big group:
Into it there are Raczinski and Fournier, with Rece and Gaztelua.
Raczinski gains other 20'' bonussec, but this 10'' gained by Fournier give him back 2nd position in GC.

24.01.2013,10 Uhr Down Under : Tour Down Under Stage3: Unley to Sterling: Flachetappe
1. 00:00:00 Amadeusz Raczinski (Rasmussenbank)
2. 00:00:00 Gerard Fournier (Brath Rhum Factory)
3. 00:00:00 Bere Rece (Team Bavaria)
4. 00:00:00 Kepa Gaztelua (RV Allagen)
5. 00:00:00 Peeter Kümmel (RV Allagen)

GC Leader: Amadeusz Raczinski (Rasmussenbank)
Green Jersey Leader: Amadeusz Raczinski ( (Alkworld)
White Jersey Leader :Sjaak Hemerlink (Rasmussenbank)
Red Jersey Leader: Thomas Bhuta (BerndSport)

Another update on Favocheck:

Yellow Jersey:
***** Raczinski
****
***
**Fournier,Leonard,
*Picasso,Buta, Gaztelua

White Jersey
***** Hemerlink (achieved)

Red Jersey
***Buta
**
*IsoHollo

Green Jersey
***** Raczinski
****
***Almodovar
**Brathwaite
*

was a nice win, i do reckon however a sprinter is more favo then me for the green jersey.. that is if they're willing to work for it tomorrow, for me its purely gap control and defense now, btw raczinski suddenly belongs to alkworld for the green jersey?, also with the 3s gap fournier has on leonard hes definately more favo (would put him on *** atleast)

If you want, I'll take him. Other than that, there seems to be a new favorite check each day ;) So who'll be the next top favorite?
