Correze 11h

Post by team fl » Wed Aug 01, 2012 9:36 am

Short and... short. That's Correze, the stage race with the minimum of two stages, at least not two half stages. As Burgos would have been another money burning tour for Team FL, it's Correze now. Line-up will be the following:

x1 Stefano Benni, getting competitive for two days
x2 Nathaniel Biedermann, the Brandstifter is getting old, but still hot on the bike, for two days
x3 Henri Bienvenu, says welcome for two days
x4 Niels Hörnö, no smile without the dentist, not even for two days
x5 Stefan "King" Küng, King for two days
x6 Jean Ollé Ollé, smiling for two days
x7 Pit Schlechter, not getting better while getting two days older
x8 Xaver Unsinn, two days nonsens...
x9 Walter "WaWa" Walch, Hahappy for two dadays

Biedermann should win this tour easily while Jean will get the points classement, winning stage 1 while Unsinn winning stage 2 (!and not winning the GK!). Walch will get the mountain classement and of course Team FL will win the team classement. Benni as the best youth rider and red number for Schlechter on both days.
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

Morning Time again, at least here the threads are always one of the best.

EM starting with Mandelbrojt, Kaulitz, Gauß, Gröbner, Loschmidt, Tananahaakna, Letho, Avogadro and Inlander to waste some money

Sure you don't want to ride Burgos?

no time for Burgos, but in fact this is the Utah line-up, could be adjusted a bit here

Hmm.. I have to rethink my goals then. Ok, you can have the mountain classement.

Hm hard race today, 2 riders killed, but ok they were done before mostly. Late attack that looked very dangerous with 30 seconds 30km before the end but Schönflies, Letho and others got them easily. In the end Joker on Kruopis with the right "näschen" and got the win millimeters before him. Was the right choice to go on him today. Yellow and green for one day. too less sprinters that green would be safe. 3 70-80 with good chances for green jersey now. Absolon with the best chances i would say. But its still not over about green as all of them just get it by a win.

That was the EM tempo part for this tour. GL for tomorrow

The expected sprint royal in the end. Mathe vs. Moscow with the better sprint tactic, the Joker with the stage win, yellow and green. Radomiak in red, Botero from Gismo in white. Tomorrow will be a very different picture, classic riders dominating. Team ABC-Polsat seems to have good chances with Szczesny and Lewandowski as helper. But it will also depend how the other teams ride, f.e. Classcycle with Absolon and FL with Unsinn, who did hang on each other with their sprinters today. Or there could be a lucky winner, nobody knows yet, but it seems pretty open tomorrow. Good. Still, the favorite check:

General classement:

***** Kurt Absolon (classcycle)
**** Lukasz Szczesny (Team ABC-Polsat)
*** Xaver Unsinn (Team FL)
** Pierre Quiruol (Moscow Pro Team)
* another classic rider

Points classement

*** Jeff Joker (Equipe Mathematique)
** Kurt Absolon (classcycle)
* Pierre Quiruol (Moscow Pro Team)

Mountain classement:

*** the one who wants it (Radomiak?)
** another one
* a suprise rider

Youth classement:

*** Alexander Ingraham (Allstars United, because it's his captain),
** You -Know-Who (hihi, punno team)
* Stefano Benni (Team FL, if riding for him), Eduardo Diaz (classcyle, if riding for him))

Intersting second and last stage, although El Bergo's actions were a bit annyoing today as he did a not allowed team attack with three riders a the same km and interfered especially in the fight for the mountain jersey, perhaps the moust overrated jersey in RSF. Nevertheless, in the end it was a nice race and a nice tour overall, with Absolon as the (accoring to the Team FL favorite check!) expected winner. Team FL is happy that Nate got a podium placement in one of his last races and Benni could win the youth classement. In the end, more was possible, but Unsinn didn't want to sprint senseful. Here the result, short as the tour itself:

2.08.2012,11 Uhr Correze
1. Platz: Kurt Absolon (Classcycle)
2. Platz: Pierre Quiroul (Moscow Team Pro)
3. Platz: Nathaniel Biedermann (Team FL)
Bergtrikot: Alexis Chavez (Team Gismo)
Sprinttrikot: Kurt Absolon (Classcycle)
Jungfahrertrikot: Stefano Benni (Team FL)
Mannschaftswertung: Team ABC-Polsat
