95-94-93? You can ride for the sprint in a situation like this, no? I know I will help a bit for my 91, even if I'd have preferred something like 93-93-92-91-91-91 but bah, Karli will be motivated.

Okay, last thought for the Wizards to make a 15h start possible: I have lessons on monday and thursday that run simultaneously to the Giro. Is there anyone who might do a sitterjob on the Giro-mondays and Giro-thursdays for me? If yes, send PM please.

Hahahahaha. I just looked at the stages I´d miss:

10.05., Monday, Stage 3: Flat stage
13.05., Thursday, Stage 5: Flat stage
17.05., Monday, Stage 9: Flat stage
20.05., Thursday, Stage 12: Flat stage
27.05., Thursday, Stage 18: Flat stage

All right, please Team Franconia join the 15h Giro, then I can relax when I´m not online myself *g*

Wizards Cycling up for 15h!!!!

Image Wesley Sneijder 85-62-78-48-55, 46 Reg
The dutch climber will be the classement leader for our team. Since we this year don´t have a monster like Königsbauer we will try to get a stage or something for Wesley, he won´t be a danger and will only try to go for Top 10.

Image Samuel Albany 56-74-64-54-45, 40 Reg
Samuel Albany, young swiss hope as classic helper will be the little chap of our team. He might join a group once, but this is another one´s task.

Image Basil Broucek 73-81-76-50-43, 41 Reg
The oldie will be the only rider to already have joined a Giro d´Italia. Last year he didn´t get a stage as a 21years old, this time he´s going for his last success. Due to his downhill skills he also will be a helper for Clausen, Sneijder and Wolfsong.

Image Manuel Clausen 73-83-63-46-63, 57 Reg
Winner of Gent-Wevelgem Manuel Clausen is going for as much as he can get. He´ll try to make some competition in the classic riders´ rows and is going for stages and maybe the points jersey aswell. He hopes for PeterMeter to join some stages in the spectator´s chat.

Image André Katchono 50-89-58-52-52, 50 Reg
The flat bomber. He will be one of the important helpers for Clausen´s stages and maybe joins a group aswell.

Image Nicolas LaCroix 55-85-73-53-55, 52 Reg
LaCroix, breakaway freak and three times stage winner will go for groups and at the same time be one of Clausen´s most important helpers.

Image Ndale Mbeki 64-81-73-52-56, 62 Reg
The young classic hope could be the 2nd most important rider next to Clausen since his reg skills are bombastic. His goals: 1 Stage and 21 attacks in the whole tour.

Image Alfons Ulminger 48-78-50-61-57, 35 Reg
Alfons Ulminger will train for the Tour de France here. His races will come later in the year when ENECO-Tour will be ridden. Our most important TTT rider.

Image Kato Wolfsong 76-78-52-47-56, 37 Reg
With a double training (climbing & sprint) Kato shows he wants to get stages here. The uberclassic rider of our team will be aswell Clausen´s most important helper on his stages and will be trying to get at least one stage aswell.

Salary: 505.072 Credits

Aims: Stages, Green Jersey, rock the shit, be happy to ride the last tour with the mathematician!

EDITH: Very small chances for a team without Sneijder.

So far from the registered teams and those who said here they will start we have:

Belgian Team
Equipe Mathematique
Gaurain Rx
L RSV
Psychopathen
Robyklebt
Satzte Sich
Team FL
Team Kajutschka
Toxicity
Wizards Cycling

My speculations for the possible stage winners:

Climbers´ stages:
*** Yuri Gamov, Benoit Mandelbrot
** Abbadon Chadasch, Ethan Heinhardt, Sergei Larin, Dmitri Puzanov
* Felipe Caramelli, Ivan Buonnaroti, Wesley Sneijder

Sprinters´ stages:
*** Nikolaus Müssiggang, Guillaume Prebois
** Lorenz Dürr, Karl Eiterolloid
* Huba Szebély, William de Worde

Classic riders´ stages:
*** Manuel Clausen, Severino Nicolosi
** Lex Ameise, Cyriel Baiwir, Antonio Magnani, Kato Wolfsong
* Thomas Guggisberg, Lorenz Lindelöf and the other classic riders which have a rather hard time in a sprint.

There will be my prognosis for each stage when the peloton on Saturday, 14:33h is not changable anymore.

Thomas Guggisberg, Stefano Uzielli and Karl Eiterolloid arrived in Amsterdam too today.

Uzielli: We'll take it easy tomorrow, to be ready for saturday. I hope to get the maglia rosa in the prologue, it's between me and Feng hopefully. Then on Sunday Karl will probably take it thanks to the bonifications!

The whole Team FL took the trip to Amsterdam today and is preparing for the Giro already. The Team is as announced, Leaders will be: Severino Nicolosi for the GK (not important) and for the hilly stages; Lorenz Dürr for the flat stages. For Nicolosi it will be the second Giro, as well as for $ven Becker, our ICE/TGV/whateverbutfast. After lots of arguments with Tony Longo, the second Italian in the team, the team management decided to leave him at home for training sessions. His mother is still calling and cursing and threatens us with the Mafia. Well, if the life of the Team is in danger, we might reconsider our decision tomorrow.

It seems we have a very competitive group here, which I like and I am looking forward to. Anyway, as last year, I wish everybody lots of fun, a hard but fair competition and good cooperation in the gruppetto!!! I just hope I can attend the most stages. For the others, I am trying to find a sitter or I will announce that I am not able to and what my offline orders will be.
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

The rest of the team just arrived in Amsterdam now. Mr Klebt refused to hold a formal press conference, instead in a short speach full of obscenties he expressed his hope for a better connection in the coming 23 days.

The riders and staff were still allowed to make some short statements, here they are

1 Yuri Gamov: I'm here to win. Nothing else. I have a good team that is fully behind me, we are all ready and focused. Scared? Not scared of anybody. Respect yes, there will be many tough opponents, Mandelbrot, Aldeia, Larin, Puzanov, Caramelli, Heinhardt, or was it Quinthardt?, well, we'll see. All very good riders, but I know we can beat them.

2 Septimiu Berlogea: I feel fine, a bit tired from the race that finished a few minutes ago, but thanks to the wonderful RSF technology I'm already here. The Giro? All for Yuri, I will be there just to help, don't have any personal ambitions. Later? Well, maybe yes, but not at the Giro.

3 Ivan Buonarroti: Yes, Yuri is the leader, I'm nr 2. No problem. Yuri right now is simply better than me. Of course if the tactical situation dictates that I should search my own chance, I'll do it, but that's something for Mr Klebt and Roland to decide.

4 Karl Eiterolloid: I hope to win a sprint of course.

5 Feng Ouyang: Tomorrow I hope to do well, then from then on I will help Karl and Yuri, 100%. Most important day the TTT, that's why I'm here. I'll drive like Cancellara, my idol!

6 Philipp Guggisberg: Easy start for the Giro.. first few days we won't have much to do... the TTT, otherwise we'll wait... spend as little as possible. The first weak maybe I can even ride for myself a few times, sprint or an escape, but after that the serious things start.

7 Thomas Guggisberg: I feel fine, age not a problem yet, I'm only 33. I will be protected a long time, so you won't see me work too much, it will be an anonymous Giro for me. I'll just have to be there if Yuri or Ivan need my help. Stage wins? Of course I'd like to win a stage, I have my sight on a few, Montalcino, Monte Grappa, Zoncolan, why not Zoncolan after winning the Ventoux? But of course Yuri and Ivan are more important.

8 Wassissi Machoro: Everything ok, we are optimists.. I know Mr Klebt has criticized the team a lot lately, claiming we are not really good enough in the hills, but I think we, Stefano, Ouyang and Philipp will not disappoint, we know that this is the most important race of the year.

9 Stefano Uzielli: All ok, all ok... the race..ah, no problem, can start now, I'm ok. But let me relax here in Amsterdam for a while, first time I'm here, want to do some sightseeing.

The 2 replacement riders:

Xenocrate Nedelcu: Well, I understand Mr Klebt's position, we need riders with more stamina for the Giro. Plus I'm 35, so I'm starting to feel the age. Still would have liked to start of course.. think I did well in Tirreno Adriatico.. but Mr Klebts decision has to be accepted. We'll stay here for 3 days now, then follow the team until the TTT, then we'll go to Romania for a training camp with Horatiu.

Dario Erioli: I'm just a replacement because we all know we won't need the second replacement.. no chance in hell I start this thing at 39, too hard. My last race was today, my active days are finished. I'll stay with Mr Klebt and the Giroteam till the end of the month, follow the team and help where I can, then I'll join the staff as a ds adjoint. Here will be like training. The team is strong, I saw it first hand in the past few days, we have good chances to win.

Guillaume, Ethan, Laurent, Cyriel, Yvon, Francesco arrived this evening in Amsterdam. The rest of the team is not there yet.

Apparently, a big crisis occur at the headquarter of Gaurain rx this afternoon. Some of the riders wanted bigger wages to participate to the Giro and so the boss has delayed their departure!
