Another prestigious stage race starts tomorrow. Stages 4, 5 and 6 will be very fascinating I think. Very hilly in the end. Cadel Evans will be at the start with a great BMC Team (Ballan, Hincapie and Burghardt for example). Hopefully he will fight for the win, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Also the sprinters will check their shape for Milano - San Remo. I will have an eye on Cavendish, he is without a win till now in this year.

But maybe the race will not start. "Snow chains" will be required

Cadel always ended up second when he didnt wear the rainbow jersey. If the curse of the world champion catches him ... but yeah, hope he´s gonna do something good there.

Without a time trial there are plenty of riders who could win the overall. Could be an interesting race.

That is the first week long stage race without any time trial that I remember. In the last years time trials were a must for races like Dauphine/TdS/...

Plenty of dificulties in the stages, quite more i remember from the last years. Especially the 2 stages 4 and 5 with a lots of hills, very hard last km, both of a lenght of more than 230 km and a total climb that could easily be enough for a hard mountain stage, it seems quite possible to me this one not to be one within seconds, but with a mayor win on one of those stages or at the 6th thats much shorter, but difficult, too, especially after the two before. In my eyes, with those 3 stages, it's far the most interesting Tirreno Adriatico i ever saw.

What was that? The group of 4 was already caught, wasn't it? Well, anyway, Linus once more knew where he has to stay in the race. Lucky for him there was no too difficult downhill in the finale..

That's a question i can not answer, i ask myself how this could happen. they were caught, before the last corner, and afte that, there was a long line of riders behind it, when the guy who caught them finally suddenly lost his will to catch them and let a whole that was not closed any more... very strange.

Ah, yes. Now looked at it again ( http://www.sporza.be/cm/sporza/videozon ... n/1.733887 ). There was a rider from Sky who first blew his cheek and then stopped making tempo. Thor, right behind him, didn't want to close the gap by himself, slowed down, too. And then it was gone.

In a traditional approach to cycling you hold the wheel of the guy in front of you. But I guess that doesn't apply to Team Sky.

Really nice wall, but not as tough as Montelupone. Scarponi crashed today because "Bruchpilot" Serpa fell in front of him in a descent. Serpa looks really bad, but he finished:
