Seems like its better to use teams fir the ttt. But on the other hand the game is about using the riders only once, and teams dont make many sense in this case. So i think its better to choose a single rider, even for the ttt.

About crashes without abandoning the race now...
In the last km they always finish the race. Perhaps its better to use the safety rider if the main rider gives up before the next stage starts in such a case.
