First Race - First Win

Simon Laplace could win the first season race in Sweden. Long time it seems the sprinter teams can catch the group, but Les Ours Blanc didnt do the necessary tempo. In the end and Laplace followed the right rider, who brought both in the leading group. Laplace won the sprint and got his first stage win.

It was a good prerace for the Tour de France starting tomorrow. The Equipe also won the last race before the Giro and the Giro than was relly sucessfull. We will see what happens :)

Le Tour de France

Stage 1:
And it begans great. Erwin 'the Cat' Schrödinger could win the so called "flat stage" and takes over the yellow jersey for one day. He could follow Heusers attack on the final +4 and won the sprint against Noe Rosi (Adler). It is Schrödingers 3rd Grand Tour stage win and after wearing Rosa at the Giro he also wears Yellow tomorrow. Lets see what else can happen here at the Tour

Stage 2:
Team Time Trial with a ok result, The Equipe got 6th and lost not too much time.

Stage 3:
Flat stage and Bürgi seems to be good in form, he finishes 3rd.

Stage 4:
Erwin-Time again: The team worked fairly alone and managed to get the group. In the end Schrödinger had some luck to end up in the first group and also for the sprint which he could win and so he got his 2nd Tour-Stage win (14th carreer stage win)

So he really again trained mountain? Wow, I think by now he is the strongest classic rider I've ever seen next to maybe vanGaveren.... Uberrider, great to see him in one of my favourite teams!

Bürgi #12

Bürgi wins Tour de France stage number 6 from Fabulous' wheel!
The Equipe managed to win 3 stages in the first week, it seems the Tour could be as successfull as the Giro was!

3 more flatpoints can be important, so he has maybe 9powerpoints more and it can make the difference ;) But yeah he really has good form

Rondeau won Clasica de Ordizia

Fabi Rondeau with his second stage win in his 37th race. It is so far the 6th season stage win of the Team after Simon Laplace' win just before the Tour and the 4 Tour stages (Schrödinger and Bürgi).

Schrödinger now best Austrian rider of all times

Equipe shows strenght in new shirts

On the first stage of the tour in Alsace the Squad showed their ability in TTT. The team around Schrödinger, Heuser and Keagan finished on the 4th place with only 5 seconds to the winning Team JONA-LENNAO. The Team is now one of the biggest aspirants for the Tour win. We will go for Schrödingers second tour win.

Alsace stage 2

Another good day for the Mathematicians. HP Heuser attacks for the first mountain price and gets the red jersey for one day. In the expected final sprint, Bürgi got 2nd very close behind Ufuk who had some problems in the last 500m but he was too strong tough. Schrödinger finished on the 12th place and got 2 seconds on the other climbers by getting points at one intermediat sprint.

Alsace Stage 3

Another good stage. Erwin Schrödinger showed good form and saved the mountains jersey. It will be a second goal for Schrödinger but the main interesst still is the GC. In the end Bürgi got second in the mass sprint behin Ufuk as yesterday. A good money day again.

Schrödinger in good position

Erwin Schrödinger won all 3 mountain prices and enlarged his gap in the climbers jersey. With 48 points he is now 14 points ahead of next climber Martin Kresin. There are many points left and Schrödinger will concentrate on the generel on sunday so we will see if Erwin gets it. In the mass sprint the Team had big troubles and Bürgi just got 4th. We are hoping for a better result tomorrow.

Vlatismil Mikulastik retires

Vlatismil decided to end his carreer after his greatest success: finishing the Tour de France
Races: 203 (not all for the Equipe since we bought him with 22, previous Team: JAM Team)
Eternal Points: 53

Good Bye Vlatismil, tempomachine of the Tour de France

Good Season Finish
Schrödinger won last stage of Alsace - He also wins the yellow jersey - And he saves the Mountain jersey - Heuser finishes 4th on the last stage of Alsace - Heuser with second podium (place 3 Alsace) - Equipe Mathematique wins Team Classement in Alsace

150 Saisonpunkte

Simon Laplace
1 Sieg Eintagesrennen (Boucle de Kalmar, Kat 1)
Etappenplatz 4 Tour de France
236 Saisonpunkte

Equipe Mathematique: Mannschaftswertung Alsace

Div: 1
Punkte: 9008
Platz: 10
Finanzen: +1.220.455

Transfers: Mikulastik geht mit 36Jahren in Pension. Ein neuer Fahrer folgt morgen, Details dazu morgen

Equipe signed contract with Wolfgang Gröbner

A not very steep Mountain finish and a good result for Fabi Rondeau (he finishes second), the team helped for a climbers finish and Rondeau could attack on the last km, but Berein (RC Linz) was too strong. Now our goal is a Bürgi win and/or a podium place for Rondeau. Wish us luck for the coming days

Stage 2: Burgos - Burgos
A calculated mass sprint but our back wheel refuses to sprint and so Bürgi just got the 12th place, even Fabi was faster in the end with place 11. All in all a disappointing stage.

Stage 3: Pradoluengo - Belorado
12 km TT. Our Time Trial chief Steve Keagan 9th, Gröbner 17th, Rondeau 23rd.

Stage 4: Roa de Duero - Ciudad Romana de Clunia
Another flat stage and this time Bürgi got a back wheel, but he wasnt able to catch the 500m sprint by Gustav Hansen and got 2nd. Rondeau 13th.

Stage 5: Areniscas de los Pinares - Laguna de Ne
HC Stage, good work by our sitter Wizard Cycling and Rondeau got 2nd. The 3rd second place in this tour. Rondeau also got 2nd in the general and second in the sprints jersey. Tour of second places. Very unnice
The Team also presented our new team jersey:

A nice hilly pavé race. The Equipe with low salary and no action for long time. In the end we got a 6th and a 12th place (Fatou and Laplace). So we made some money that we will waste the next days at the stage race in Ain.

We start this little tour in the morning with our best line up ever: Schrödinger, Rondeau, Heuser, Mandelbrojt, Bürgi, lets hope for lots of stage wins and jerseys

Stage 1: CLM Bourge en Bresse
01. 00:00:00 Dimo Robov (Saffunzanos)
02. 00:00:01 Rui Sousa (Saffunzanos)
03. 00:00:08 Väinö Loipinen (L RSV)
14. 00:00:25 Steve Keagan (Equipe Mathematique)
38. 00:00:38 Henry Scheffé (Equipe Mathematique)

A 4km Prolog with small gaps between the classement riders. Just Nathan Bailly with 30seconds to the other climbers

Stage 2: Meximieux - Saint Vulbas
01. 00:00:00 Jubo Muting (Sky Riders)
02. 00:00:00 Cédric Schmarotz (Team FL)
03. 00:00:00 René Entrich (Saffunzanos)
04. 00:00:00 Joost Bürgi (Equipe Mathematique)
10. 00:00:00 Erwin Schrödinger (Equipe Mathematique)
18. 00:00:00 Szolem Mandelbrojt (Equipe Mathematique)

A flat stage. But Bürgi didnt got his wheel and so he just finished 4th. Schrödinger with important sprint points.

Stage 3: Parc des Oiseaux - Bellignat

Image
01. 00:00:00 Erwin Schrödinger (Equipe Mathematique)
02. 00:00:00 Frida Kahlo (Alkworld)
03. 00:00:00 HansPeter Heuser (Equipe Mathematique)
05. 00:00:30 Fabi Rondeau (Equipe Mathematique)
24. 00:00:33 Szolem Mandelbrojt (Equipe Mathematique)

The big team did a great job and with the stage win, yellow, green for Schrödinger and place 3 for Heuser, place 5 for Rondeau we are really happy. We also took leadership in the teamclassement. We hope we can hold all these jerseys and win this little tour in France.

Stage 4: Nuntua - Lelex

01. 00:00:00 Frida Kahlo (Alkworld)
02. 00:00:00 Erwin Schrödinger (Equipe Mathematique)
03. 00:00:00 HansPeter Heuser (Equipe Mathematique)
08. 00:01:07 Szolem Mandelbrojt (Equipe Mathematique)
13. 00:01:15 Fabi Rondeau (Equipe Mathematique)

Harder than expected second day for Schrödinger. And a close final only brought place 2 and 3 for Erwin and Hans. Very disappointing

Tre Valli - Hamburg
Two podium places for the Cat
