Schrödinger again

After a long period without success, Erwin Schrödinger could take the victory at the second stage of Pais Vasco against a very flatstrong climber group. After rang 5 yesterday Erwin could take over the green jersey and is now 2nd in the GC for the moment. Green is also the aim of the tour now after the one stage win we now have, but we hope Schrödinger tries again.

Its the 9th carreer victory of "the Cat" and he is now only one behind Bürgi in the overall victory list

Rumors about the Giro 2011

After disappointing results at Amstel Gold Race and other races since Pais Vasco, the Team will concentrate on some Tours in the coming days (Trentino, Romandie) For Schrödinger a stage win at Romandie will be the big aim. After winning two stages at TA and one at Pais Vasco Schrödinger also has to win an important one day race we will see if he can manage that in the future

A Giro participation seems more and more certain aswell. For Schrödinger the Großglockner Stage would be a personal favorit.
Time would be best around 13 or 14:00 we will see what organisers decide

Heuser with 3rd Win

Heuser took the second Stage at Trentino and took over the Sprinters Jersey too. After a chaotic start and much tempo against groups. The peloton reached the last hill closed and Schrödinger set the pace. He did a great job and Heuser was the only classic arriving at top of the mountain with the climbers, there he attacked and reached the goal 37seconds in front of the following climbers groups. Schrödinger reached a good 4th place too and made it a great team result. It was Heusers 3nd stage win and the 2nd win of the Equipe this month. Heuser has now made time on the climbers and took back the time he lost on the Hubers and is 4th in General Classement. We hope to get a top5 place at the end of the Tour which will be very hard against the climbers tomorrow and the next day.

Interview with Heuser:
Feder: Wir nehmen was kommt.
Feder: Der 50. Sieg der Teamgeschichte durch sie eingefahren. Ein besonderer?
HPH: Ja das hat schon was

Podium comes into reach

Heuser didn't start very fit but he has to fight to keep up the chances for the Podium. Heuser finished 13, Schrödinger 14th and Heuser just lost 29seconds to Bamba Anderson and Aaron Hope, but in the GK he just stayes 2nd, 3 seconds behind Bamba and 7 Seconds in front of Nasawa who did a great escape about 40km to the goal. The Team is looking forward to the stage tomorrow.

First Podium for HP Heuser

After we missed the last hill and the offsettings didn't worked, Heuser fell back at the 3rd place in generall but he reached his first podium on a tour and with the win on the second stage it was a very good tour financially and succesfull. The Team now concentrates on Romandie with a expensive team and no chances in the general, we may loose some money there but with some luck we get our next high cathegory stage win.

The Equipe goes GIRO

Now its time to anounce the Giro participation of the Equipe Mathematique!!!

Transfer News
The contract with Kurt Gödel ended today and so we hired a new rider for the next season and advanced our GIRO Team. The 28Year old Fabi Rondeau (85-60-75) is now in our Team to help both Erwin and Heuser and as second leader for the Giro, he is the long needed cheap climber in the team.

Giro Team

Pierre Fatou: The classic talent with good training so far. He is a complete rider without any weakness and good regeneration.
Values: 63-80-78-54-55 51reg
Age: 23

Hans Peter Heuser: The Superclassic with important stage victories, he wants his Giro stage too!
Values: 77-79-46-52-50 39reg
Age: 29

Steve Keagan: The TTTmotor and important helper
Values: 57-78-60-61-49 38reg
Age: 30

Michael Kohlhuber: classic helper
Values: 67-74-79-47-46 41reg
Age: 31

Simon Laplace: Helper
Values: 63-81-79-50-52 46reg
Age: 27

Ferdinand Möbius: Flat and downhill star
Values: 52-87-80-52-53 43reg
Age: 32

Fabi Rondeau: climber
Values: 85-60-75-50-58 35reg
Age: 29

Erwin Schrödinger: The CAT
Values: 85-69-66-50-59 59reg

so one place missing, Hugendubel and Scheffé the candidates

Bürgi number 11

After 10weeks of disappointing results Bürgi managed to win todays mass sprint in Bulgaria, with a lot of very good sprinters Bürgi had the luck with the right back wheel and that the topsprinters all went from 50m.

Kurzinterview
Boaz Trakhtenbrot:
  • Winner Giro 2022
  • 10 GC wins
  • 16.609 Eternal Points

GIRO GIRO GIRO - First Stage Win by Schrödinger
First Week

The second Giro partizipation after 2009 with two 80+ climbers and the second time in a very strong climber field at 15:00! After missing a stage win in 2009, Schrödinger won todays 7th stage Maddaloni-Montevergine. After a very offensive race by Wizard, Lecce and Demuth it was Erdemann who set the final attack with Schrödinger and Mastrangelo in his wheel and Schrödinger won the sprint easily from the wheel of Luigi who finished second and before Erdemann. It was the first giro stage win and so the team has won at least one stage of all Grand Tours.

Pleit-O-Meter:
All in all the team is loosing max. 3.077.361 Credits
In the first week the team won 526 000 Credits

Results:

Giro 11 tappa 1 Venaria Reale-Torino TTT

01. 00:00:00 The owl
02. 00:00:11 Us Lecce
03. 00:00:14 Psychopathen
08. 00:00:54 Equipe Mathematique

Not much happened on the first stage, the team is in the middle field as expected

Giro 11 tappa 2 Alba-Parma
01. 00:00:00 Tom vanAmstel (Wizards Cycling)
02. 00:00:00 Lutz Putz (RV Allagen)
03. 00:00:00 Goran Pandev (Us Lecce)
04. 00:00:00 Erwin Schrödinger (Equipe Mathematique)
05. 00:00:00 HansPeter Heuser (Equipe Mathematique)
21. 00:00:03 Fabi Rondeau (Equipe Mathematique)
31. 00:00:03 Simon Laplace (Equipe Mathematique)

A good stage with the first top ten places for Schrödinger and Heuser. Schrödinger won 3 seconds to other climbers and made big points for Ciclamino but no time boni.

Giro 11 tappa 3 ReggioEmilia-Rapallo
00:00:00 Goran Pandev (Us Lecce)
02. 00:00:00 Lutz Putz (RV Allagen)
03. 00:00:00 Leon Konz (Team Schwalbe)
07. 00:00:00 Erwin Schrödinger (Equipe Mathematique)
13. 00:00:00 Fabi Rondeau (Equipe Mathematique)
15. 00:00:00 HansPeter Heuser (Equipe Mathematique)

Pandey, Amstel and Putz are racing anti Schrödinger and a bad sprint made the possible win impossible. It was the first real chance for a win and the first fail.

Giro 11 tappa 4 Genova-Livorno
00:00:00 Dodo Erdemann (bergwerk)
02. 00:00:00 Igor Zhenya (The owl)
03. 00:00:00 Stefan Nipp (RV Allagen)
04. 00:00:00 Erwin Schrödinger (Equipe Mathematique)
11. 00:00:00 Fabi Rondeau (Equipe Mathematique)
15. 00:00:00 HansPeter Heuser (Equipe Mathematique)

Next chance for a Stage win for both Schrödinger and Rondeau but the false back wheels and a good place 4 for Schrödinger.

Giro 11 tappa 5 Piombino-Orvieto
01. 00:00:00 Tom vanAmstel (Wizards Cycling)
02. 00:00:00 Lutz Putz (RV Allagen)
03. 00:00:00 Goran Pandev (Us Lecce)
04. 00:00:02 Erwin Schrödinger (Equipe Mathematique)
09. 00:00:10 HansPeter Heuser (Equipe Mathematique)
24. 00:00:35 Simon Laplace (Equipe Mathematique)

Another unhappy 4th place, but more important time win against the 88er and other climbers.

Two in a row

Hans Hugendubel won todays 8th stage of Giro d'Italia out of a km1 escape. Yeah thats no Joke 55-74 always helper and first one in tempo Hans Hugendubel got permission to attack today and he will get it more often now it seems. In the back nobody felt responsible to ride and so the group soon got about 24minutes gap. then there was no tempo in the group till the last 10km. Weakes man in the group only could reach the finish solo because of the bad sprinting skills and so he tried it and finished jus 1 second before the next follower. Congratulation HANSI

Interview mit Hans Hugendubel:

Feder: Wow what was that?
Hugendubel: Zwickts mi! i glaub des ned
Hugendubel: Ja supa gehts wos glaubst?! wia sois ma a aunders gehn noch so ana supa leistung, i glaubs ned
Feder: Lassen sie sich feiern

Resting Day
Feder meets Team

GIRO Stage Win #4

4th stage win with the 3rd Rider. After Schrödinger (2x AUT) and Hugendubel (GER) the third big nation in our team is able to take a stage win. Pierre Fatou managed to win the sprint out of a 3men escape close before Erny Oysters (Wizards) and Lionel Marechal (Gaurain). The group was through very early but the 3 worked together very good. With this result The Equipe also managed to enlarge the gap in the team classement which should be enough for the TT tomorrow and the Ciclamino is safe too. So all in all a historical Grand Tour

For the first time in the team history, the Equipe Mathematique rides in the first RSF divison. After 3 month in division 2 the good results in May especially during the GIRO with the most points of all time 8.796 and place 6 the team qualified to ride in the highest division. Aim now is to stay up as long as possible.

First time, seriously? Assumed you had been there before.. Making me cry in the Andes and stuff.. but ok, congrats in that case. Of course if in 2010 you had had more time you would have been here a looooooooooong time ago with Mandelbrot Superstar.

Tour de Suisse

A very sucessfull and for the team important tour.

Fabi Rondeau took the second place in the general classement and won the climbers jersey, in adition he won a stage and got a second place on one stage. Erwin Schrödinger could win stage 7 which lead to Austria. It was his 12th carreer stage win and he is now alone #1 in the team history furthermore he could become 6th in the general classement. Heuser got 12th in the general and with his good stage results he and his team mates could win the teams classification as in the GIRO.
