Alexander Perling to end his career

Age begins to show with one of the best sprinters of 2010/2011. After a disastrous training, losing sprint- and flat-strength, Alexander Perling will end his career without a special goodbye-race.

He began his illustrious career in March 2010, winning 23 stages, 2 tours and 5 points' jerseys riding only 87 races overall. Who will be his successor isn't known by now as the team couldn't buy a new young sprinter last month because of some mishap on the transfermarket's settings.

Rumours say, Alex will be the Fanta-bar's new chief-of-staff, leading the once well known home of retired riders to new glory.

Tour of Turkey ends with first green jersey for Thorsten Silvetta

The team's management is quite satisfied with the first two stages of 2011's tour of turkey. Thorsten Silvetta, the current leader of the "water-team" won both stages, though especially the second stage cost the helpers more power than anticipated.

Of course no one has any hopes to win the tour overall, but Fritz Fanta and the other directors are quite positive about Thorsten's chances of winning his first points' jersey. What will happen on the next stages remains to be seen, but Thorsten is rather anxious to battle Fokke Zylstra in May should the reigning king race in the evening hours.

The following stages until saturday went as expected. Too steep for the Quellen-helpers or too long for the team, whic couldn't force a mass sprint on its own, Thorsten at least got 3rd on stage 5 as best of the rest and won saturday's stage with a bit of luck.

Will be interesting to see what will happen, when the world's best sprinters collide. But will it be Franco who profits from this, after he called for revolution to overthrow the king?

For those who don't believe the unbelievable ;)

Team Franconia<01:12>: the lords have to raise the swords against the regency :-)
Team Franconia<01:11>: good night insulting elaska :-)
Ciclistas<01:11>: not my sprinters, my young flat guys, 4 times missed over 90& this month..
Team Franconia<01:11>: i had to wait till today to receive my "sword of hope" for the next season
Elaska<01:11>: Good night ladys !
Ciclistas<01:10>: ok we do the royal games?
Elaska<01:10>: All my sprinters stoped at 94 ... ^^
Ciclistas<01:09>: hm but my training sucked, i think the royal curse is not for the races, it's for my training!
Team Franconia<01:09>: it's time to end the Round Table...the Lords have to stand up and speak up against the regency
Team Franconia<01:08>: you and BQ have to free from the kings subjugation
Ciclistas<01:08>: i'm sry for that...
Elaska(01:08): He never speak english ^^
Elaska(01:08): Never understand Cicli .

Dunkerque 2011 --- 10pm/22h

After yesterday's disappointing race, with Thorsten only second behind Zylstra, Silvetta today scored again. Thanks to all the teams who were willing to help, mass sprint was never endangered.

Stage 1

1. 00:00:00 Thorsten Silvetta (Blaue Quellen)
2. 00:00:00 Jos Bleekemolen (Rhino Cycling)

4. 00:00:00 Herbert Wagner (Rohrheim Radler)
5. 00:00:00 Patrice Linvert (pontepiscopiens)

Stage 2

Franco did a great job by sitting my team, and he nearly succeeded in forcing the sprint. A shame he failed so marginally. Nevertheless a big THANK YOU!

1. 00:00:00 Manuel Luchs (Team Erkrath RS)
2. 00:00:00 Brad Bagu (ritchie-sport)

Again a stage for the sprinters, and Thorsten did it again.

4. 00:00:00 Hossein Rezazadeh (Team Erkrath RS)
5. 00:00:00 Jérémy Honorez (TeamTom)

No real chance for our boys. Too steep and too many cobbles.

3. 00:00:13 Ales Carboni (Team LunaLounge)

3. 00:00:00 Jérémy Honorez (TeamTom)

Say hello to the jester!

Omloop der Kempen 2011 - 20.00/8.00pm

And he did it again! Guess who? Yes, tiny Thorsten scores again. In pure sprinter's race with a boring layout Thorsten Silvetta showed why he'll be one of the contestants for the "sprinter of the year 2011"-trophy.

01. 00:00:00 Thorsten Silvetta (Blaue Quellen)
02. 00:00:00 Jérémy Honorez (TeamTom)
03. 00:00:00 Marc Hensley (Team ART)
04. 00:00:00 Jos Bleekemolen (Rhino Cycling)
05. 00:00:00 Jubo Muting (Harzer Woelfe)
06. 00:00:00 Indrek Tobreluts (SM Team)
07. 00:00:00 Ufuk Büyükbuluter (Adler)
08. 00:00:00 Petter Samuelsson (TEAM LAUSITZ)
09. 00:00:00 Tiago Machado (Paris XX Racing)
10. 00:00:00 Anieska Nowakowska (Paris XX Racing)
...
23. 00:00:00 Denis Massot (Blaue Quellen)

The management is looking forward to this summer's upcoming races. Yet it is not known whether there will be a youth-sprinter soon. Right now one simply can't afford a new rider and at the same time maintain the expensive, but strong helper-team which is a must, given Thorsten's strength.

Of course the team's hopes are focussed on le tour and the manager's looking for two new helpers.

After some less spectacular races for the team during the last days, and after a short break for the team-manager, the current team-lineup was changed.

Riders who left the team:
Adam Lichtenauer: 49 - 86 - 74
Hannes Kuchenmeister: 57 - 85 - 53
Kun DiMaria: 58 - 84 - 50
Paulo Tormenta: 49 - 89 - 68
Roman Lichtenauer: 52 - 89 - 56

Current Line-up May 2011

Helpers:
Charli Carotti: 51 - 89 -54 - Reg 39, France
Jacques Durand: 51 - 78 - 73 - Reg 47, France
Alois Edwald: 53 - 86 - 50 - Reg 49, Austria
Artur Fanta: 51 - 87 -46 - Reg 38, Estonia
Norman Hunscharer: 49 -84 -48 - Reg 49, Austria
Steve Lelong, 69 - 83 - 46, Reg 39, France
Denis Massot: 48 - 88 - 55 - Reg 42, France
Gianluca Rivella: 52 - 89 - 49 - Reg 39, Switzerland
Fabian Roller: 51 - 82 - 60 - Reg 42, Germany
Lukas Schmidt: 53 - 85 - 65 - Reg 55, Germany
Jonathan Windheck: 50 - 88 - 77 - Reg 35, Germany

Sprinters:
Mathias Jänisch: 50 - 55 - 60, 94 Sprint, Luxemburg
Thorsten Silvetta: 49 - 60 - 48, 97 Sprint, Germany

In the meantime there was only one victory for Thorsten in Bavaria. Jänisch's few races were not really good, so the team's looking forward to acquire a new sprinter in his place.

Something remarkable for the BQ-Wikipedia: Until now (27th of May, 2011) Thorsten managed to catch 12 stage-wins after a total of only of only 35 races.

Of course the team for le tour will be built around him.

Seems to be a question of the abilities of his teamchef. You have to have bad ones, cause even Deuse was able to win with him.

Jänisch's few races were not really good, so the team's looking forward to acquire a new sprinter in his place.
Mr Jänisch beeing interviewed during the Tour de Pologne is quoted as follows:
i had big hopes in my contract with this well known sprinter team and was very disappointed when the BQ Management told me my contract wasnt to be renewed. Already feared this to be the end of my career when this sympathic little team from Deuseburg offered me to go back on the track and show all those sceptics what i am capable of! Its a shame i had to become 33 years of age before i found a management believing in me and a brilliant coach who finaly tought me how to win!
And an interesting quote from his new management:
Despite of his empty palmares we knew right from the start what he is capable of. So we gave him the chance and it only took him a few races to pay back the team with a beautiful victory over the famous Fabrice Fayolle (BSE Marzahn) Like we use to say here in Deuseburg ist nicht immer die Badehose schuld wenn der Bauer ned schwimmen kann!
"Listen to everyone, read everything, believe nothing unless you can prove it in your own research."

I just wish to remind the king that it was Thorsten Silvetta and not the high and mighty Fokke who won the first sprinter's stage of ENECO ;) Seems that the king himself is even worse than his jester.

Seems the king is just nice this month and knows when to givr some uninteresting things away. I won my jersey at the tour, i am happy till now. Where do you rode the tour? I didn't found your team in any field 1. And i don't see the points jersey of the tour even in your palmares. :P
