After a long break here (yeah, yeah...), I’m finally managing to write a quick update. It’s the first one since my return just over a year ago. I’ve started a new thread in the English-speaking section—the old German one is still there, but one has to move with the times, right?

Thanks to a new job with plenty of home office, I’ve had much more time for the game during the week, even though weekend stage races remain difficult due to family issues (I'm getting older too, right..). The fun is definitely back and my motivation is huge. It’s also great to see so many new teams joining lately. Shoutout to Falcor—true legend and this years C4F MVP! Connecting with the community really keeps the fun factor high.

The stats since the comeback in April 2025 are something I'm quite proud of: In the 211 races completed, we managed to celebrate a total of 38 wins. Tove was exceptionally strong with his 17 individual wins. A real highlight was also Kotula’s important win at Eschborn-Frankfurt just last week.

Since the roster is getting a bit too old, a minor rebuild is on the horizon to slowly rejuvenate the team.

I'm not usually a fan of the "80-70" types, but are there better leaders for such a variety of races? We'll see what the market has to offer...

I'll try to post a quick monthly update—I've even set a reminder, so let's see if I stick to it :D

May Update: Tour de Hongrie success & starting the rebuild

May was a really nice month for us. While the Giro was taking all the spotlight (sadly without us, but that's life..), we successfully ran our side program and took 8 wins in total, of course in absence of many strong giro teams.

  • Eschborn-Frankfurt: Started the month perfectly with that victory.
  • Tour de Hongrie: With no time for the giro and other tours, our main event of the month. I guess we absolutely nailed it, taking the overall GC victory and 2 stage wins with Tove.
Roster Changes & Finances:
We kept the team rebuild going and managed to bring in around $2M in net profit first, which we directly reinvested into some fresh talent:

Out:
  • Cason Black: Our sprinter is gone. With 5 stage wins and tons of good placements, he was a massive asset and a great money maker for the team.
  • Vakaris Bradunas: Also sold. A cheap helper (max 41 mountain) who even bagged 1 win for us.

In:
  • Suparman Simamora (€1.58M): Starting stats 50-69 with 66 sprint. He's project flat-sprinter.
  • Tito Saucede (€1.80M): Our next young classics guy (starting stats 55-71-79-49-57).
The next old guys are out, the new kids are paid for, and the motivation for the summer is high. For June, Tour de Wallonie and hopefully Suisse are on the plan. Not sure though, we'll see!
