Vuelta 2017 and new youngsters for Team Liquigas-CND:

Winning Vuelta was probably the most important achievement for Liquigas-CND team in 2017.
It was not a dominant performance for Liquigas-CND and Sir Orlando Salazar but a GT is a GT and by beating the team with the best palmares in RSF (but lead by a mediocre manager), the victory became even more important.

During the Vuelta, Team Liquigas CND signed a contract with young colombian climber Humberto Carillo (73-53-73, 51 TT, 50 Spr. 51 Reg.)
After weeks of negotiations, Team Liquigas-CND bought also the young Italian rider Alessio Lombardi (50-63-48, 50 TT, 64 Spr, 36 Reg.) who will join the team from 1st of October.

During the next 2-3 months we intend to buy 1 classic, 1 climber and maybe 1 rider for pave races even if it is quite late for buying pave riders.

World Class Liquigas!!!

Excellent spring season for Liquigas-CND!

The team started with a 2nd place in GC obtained by Jesse Ryder in PN.
Humberto Carillo won almost everything in Catalunya (GC, green and 3 stages).
Ante Bradaric won Dwars Door Vlaanderen while Stipe Saric finished 2nd the same classic.
Hector Rivera finished Brabant only 3rd.

But the big results for Liquigas-CND team started to come with 2nd half of April when Humberto Carillo won La Fleche Vallonne and LBL.

Hector Rivera had a great performance outsmarting the sprinters with a sprint from 450m in Eschborn-Frankfurt!!! The 1st successful sprint from 450M in the history of RSF in a MS!

Then Giro was totally dominated by Liquigas-CND, Humberto Carillo winning the GC and mountain classification, Jesse Ryder finishing 2nd in GC.
Probably another record is the winning of 9 stages in Giro.

During this amazing period Liquigas-CND scouters and team manager found the time and resources also to sign 3 young riders:

Sinisa Pantelic (Serbia) 47-73-60-52-50 70.3 pave, 40 reg
Tobias Henriksen (Danmark) 47-67-51-49-55 71.2 pave, 36 reg
Michele Trapanese (Italy) 55-73-53-50-51 45 reg

Great summer for Liquigas-CND team, also known as D&S (the most Dominant and Superior team ever existed in RSF)

Jesse Ryder managed to win the 4 stages and the GC in TDF although Alk had allies during the entire tour.
Kelme, Joy and Trekken helped Alkworld to obtain a big advantage on the pave stage (9) , abt 2':30'' for his sausage rider Byron.
This Alkworld was writing stupid texts after some stages in the race chat or with the fairplay voting(i.e. left chance left for yellow) but we never gave up and simply destroyed the sausage Byron.

Liquigas-CND team (a.k.a. D&S) diminished the gap with each chance, stage 19 being the crucial one. Byron could not resist in the same group with Jesse Ryder and Humberto Carillo. The gap went down to about 35 seconds.

Then the 31 Km TT stage was enough for Jesse Ryder to win TDF. Humberto finished 4th.
Alkworld humiliated once again, not in the same style as in Vuelta'17 but still humiliated. Joy won 3 stages because I realized he needed this for his mental health.

This was the 7th GT won by Liquigas-CND team a.k.a. D&S (the most Dominant and Superior team ever existed in RSF)

The greatest manager of all times in RSF also decided to bring 3 new stars to show that D&S domination will continue:
Olaf Nordhagen (Norway) 51-71-75-66-50 47 reg
Kasper Madsen (Danmark) 51-59-51-47-65 35 reg
Reinaldo Hurtado (Colombia) 73-55-79-54-46 44 reg

The domination continues!

Liquigas-CND a.k.a. D&S (Dominant and Superior) or The Greatest team ever existed in C4F continued to be the most dominant team in RSF winning GK, 2nd in GK, 8 stages and points classification in Vuelta 2018.

Stunning performance for Branislav Karadzic (36 YO) who won Eurometropole.

1st of September 2018 - the Belgian youngster Stijn Timmermans joined Team D&S (53-72-55-50-63-74.7-37 reg)

Until the end of the year we plan to bring 3-4 new riders: 1 pave , 1 classic sprinter, 1 climber and 1 helper.

Long live the KING Liquigas-CND always Dominant and Superior!

The greatest, the one and only Liquigas-CND continued to be dominant and superior during the last 3 months of 2018 by winning:

- Giro del Emilla - winner Jesse Ryder
- Lombardia - winner Humberto Carillo
- and the December tour (Atlas) - winner Reinaldo Hurtado - a.k.a. The Young Tiger!

Although the mountain skills of Jesse Ryder and Humberto Carillow were at their highest level (89), The Dominant and Superior Liquigas-CND decided to sell them on 4th of December resectively 4th of November 2018 - just because the manager decided to let the other teams to have a chance for winning mountain races/tours during December and January... but unfortunately for other teams, Liquigas-CND continued the dominance and superiority in December by winning the Atlas tour with The Young Tiger - Reinaldo Hurtado. ... cause the other managers seems to be a bunch of l.... .

In December 2018 the Greatest Team in the History of RSF secured the services of the young climber star Frank Zambrano 73-52-75-51-52 62 reg

In January 2019 the most dominant and superior team in the history of RSF signed 2 more riders:
Gaetano Leggio 55-72-72-60-63-65.7 Pave 41 reg
Enrico Morricone 46-73-57-58-49-71.5 Pave 38 Reg

As far as I see Alkworld decided to stop playing most probably because he realized he will be once again humiliated by Liquigas-CND superior managemerial skills!
Considering the above I expect the Greatest Team of all times in RSF - Liquigas-CND to continue being dominant and superior in 2019.

Yeaaahhhhh!!!

Although this year is not over yet (actually it is for us), it's time to recap the team's achievements in 2019 and to inform our fans about the next chapter for Team Liquigas-CND.

Q1 2019
January
6 wins - one was stage 6 in Tour Down Under by Reinaldo Hurtado;
1 GC - Tour Down Under - Reinaldo Hurtado managed to finish the toue 1st, Vincenzo Notari (Mosca) finsihed 2nd with only 1" delay. 3rd came Afshin Pirhashemi (Team FL) with 7" delay.

February
In February the team won 5 races, one of them was the 1st from UAE Tour - a TTT.

March
1 win - Sinisa Pantelic won stage 7 of UAE Tour;
1 GC - UAE Tour by Frank Zambrano who also got the Young riders classification. Gaetano Leggio finished the tour 3rd and we also got the teams classification;

-Although we had quite a good team for classics in the spring of 2019 due to some medical problems the team could not participate to Omloop Het Blad;
-Stijn Timmermans finished only 2nd Autour de Bruxelles. Leopold Vanwinkelen (LombardInvest) was the strongest in a group of 13 riders'
-The same Stijn Timmermans finished on 4th GP Samyn. An early escape of 3 riders - 2 from GFDJ Conti and one from Gipfelstuermer led to the victory of Camille Chesnel (GFDJ Conti). 3rd was Ragnar Tamm (High Flyer) so most probablytThe team manager did a very good job asking the rders not to chase the escape;
- Reinaldo finished 2nd Monte Paschi. Although we followed our strategy, Jasur Khushbakov (Rapid Vitesse) a 84-66 - if I remember well, was stronger on the last km of such a race;
-Paris Nimes - Reinaldo Hurtado finished the tour 4th, unfortunately the TT stage was decisive and Reinaldo lost a lot of time on 25Km TT. The profile of next stages could not allow him to come back and fight for GC.It was obviously a team management mistake to throw him in this fight instead of riding Catalunya. Riding Catalunya means we cannot ride Harelbeke so Reinaldo was the one that suffered in March due to management decisions;
-The problem was that we missed Harelbeke as well because of an unfortunate situation.;
-Deinze-Welvegem - Tobias Henriksen (Liquigas-CND) followed a late attack of Klaus Blum (team gigi) but Henriksen never sprinted well and lost his great chance to win a classic;

Transfers:
Arrivals:
Gaetano Leggio 55-72-72-60-63-65.7 Pave 41 reg
Enrico Morricone 46-73-57-58-49-71.5 Pave 38 Reg

Departures:
Adrienn Futterman, one of the important members of the team that made history in 2018 decided to end his career. His main individual achievement was winning of the 3rd stage of Vuelta 2018.

Q2 2019
April
- The greatest team started perfectly the month by winning again for the 2nd consecutive year Dwars Door Vlaanderen by Stijn Timmermans. It was a great performance from Team Liquigas outclassing teams like Falkenbier, Tuchtahuev, CM or Donkey.
- Vlaanderen Mooiste don't remember and don't realize how and why Justus Hoyer(free team) won this race...huge mistake. Probably Stijn Timmermans who finished 2nd this race did not listen the wise advice of the team manager.
- 1 GC win by Reinaldo Hurtado in Pais Vasco and one stage win.
It was a great managerial performance, Reinaldo Hurtado showing who is the boss to Mohamed Bouzidi (TeamSWE) 02nd 00:00:01, Romain Gaudu (Fdgames) 3rd 00:00:02 and mainly to Jasur Khushbakov (Rapid Vitesse) 4th 00:00:10.
- Paris Roubaix, of course I've tried to take advantage of Whisbone work who had the strongest pave team in the field but unfo he had too many strong pave guys...Wlodzimierz Wojciechowski (Whisbone) attacked 7 km before the end of the race and was followed Michael Scholz (Schappy) who took advantage of Whisbone.
- The race to remember from April was Brabantse Pijl where I managed to take advantage of Katschberger RC, Fdgames, LombardInvest.
They saw my strong classic 73-81 but only 51 sprint therefore they simply rode all the race for me...until the last km when Michele Trapanese showed them pure talent and majestic managerial skills!
- Amstel 2019 - I've tried, worked for it but messed up the sprin, trying to take advantage of the best sprinter in the field Jonas Wauthier (Feiting Siebing) 85 sprint if i remember well vs 80.
- La Wallone - I dont even have to mention this race as long as the RSF training Mafia simply destroyed my climbers on 2019... only Hurtado reaching 86 sprint.

May
- Gaetano Leggio Rund um den Tuurm
-Although the Liquigas climbers in 2019 had average skills, the great managerial skills helped the team to win the 1st and 2nd place in GC through Reinaldo Hurtado and Frank Zambrano and for stages

June
Nothing notable

Transfers:

Arrivals: none
Departures: Alessio Lombardi, Mladen Jelavic, Marty Byrd, Stipe Saric.

Q3 2019
June
Nothing notable, started many races but not managed to finish them.

July
Nothing notable, started many races but not managed to finish them.

August
I managed to win whatever I wanted cause I am the King!!! Dominant and Superior whenever I want!
-Gaetano Leggio won Quebec, Montreal, Giro della Toscana
-Stijn Timmermans won Agostoni
-Reinaldo Hurtado won Sabatini
-Kasper Madsen won Memorian Marco Pantani

Transfers:

Arrivals: Laurens Tirpan :49-68-56-54-58-72.2 Pave, 42 reg
Beltran Barrientos: 73-54-72-54-51 48 reg

Departures:Ante Bradaric, Sinisa Pantelic, Tobias Henrikesen, Reinaldo Hurtado

Q4 2019
October
Enrico Morricone won Beghelli

Then 2nd or 3rd places in important races...fuck!
Frank Zambrano 2nd in Milano-Torino and 3rd in Piemonte
Gaetano Leggio 3rd in Lombardia
Lauren Tirpan 3rd in Tours

November
Many shitty races won...
December
Few races won...

Transfers:

Arrivals: Dario Castaldelli 51-71-71-48-52 36 reg
Davide Cattaneo 55-72-55-48-43 35 reg
Fredrik Soderberg 53-65-78-46-66 36 reg
Oscar Sartor 50-71-64-48-56 73.7 pave 41 reg
Departures: Michele Trapanese, Frank Zambrano, Olaf Nordhagen

Conclusion: Liquigas-CND is still the best manager in this game despite of less and less time allocated to this game!
I can destroy whoever I can! I can make other managers retire whenever I want cause I got the superior managerial skills!
In 2020 I will keep my plan, I will f..k the l......s! I will make them cry and retire!!!

Liquigas-CND - MAYBE NOT DOMINANT ANYMORE (DUE TO LACK OF TIME) BUT STILL SUPERIOR
-GC: Giro'15,'16,18,19;TDF'16,'18,'20;Vuelta'16,'17,'18;Tirreno'16,Catalunya'16,'18,Suisse'16,Romandie'16, Vasco'19,Andes'16

It's time to write few words about the spring season 2020.

The year started horrible for team Liquigas-CND by winning only one race is January 2020. But ok, there are no important races in January for the greatest manager and team!

February was a bit better but nothing spectacular a stage win in Oman tour and 2nd place in GC + 3 shitty wins. A pity we could not be present at start of Omloop het Blad.

March was a good month despite of so many 2nd and 3rd places in classics and missing the win in MSR.
-Monte Paschi - Cristobal Fuenzalida finished 2nd
-MSR - Fredrik Soderberg finished 3rd despite having a huge chance to win...if sprinting from 200m without any follower.
-Harelbeke - Laurens Tirpan 3rd
-Deinze Welvegem - Oscar Sartor won the race outclassing Pokemon riders.

April started with a disappointing 8th place for Cristobal Fuenzalida in RVV but we knew we dont really have a rider able to win this race.
We did not care about DDV and Brabant this year.

-Paris Roubaix - Oscar Sartor finished the race 2nd after following an attack. We did not have a leader or a good team for this race as well so 2nd place was actually a more than expected.
-Amstel - Fredrik Söderberg only 3rd. Unfo a 65-50 with 85 sprint changed the wheel and followed Soderberg. But it was the manager mistake because we tried to follow another sprint train with Fabio Volpe for 50-100 m just to save some energy. This was the wrong decision leading to 3rd place.
-La Wallone - our climber Beltran Barrientos managed to win the race against Alk's climber.
-LBL - finally Cristobal Fuenzalida showed his class and simply humiliated Lazaro Romero (free team) and Tulio Armas (Big Donkey) attacking them on downhill and winning .

Overall it was a good spring season for Liquigas-CND because we did not have a specialized team for classics or pave.
We managed to have some results mainly due to our superior managerial strategy.

Transfers January-April 2020
Arrivals:
Fabio Volpe - Italy - 54-73-78-51-63 - 45 reg joined the team at the beginning of January. We paid 1,938,021.00 . In the meantime this shit did not train properly and it looks horrible 68-81-76-51-62
Khaled Elorabi - Egypt - 48-71-60-53-50 - 36 reg 68.3 pave joined the team in March for 1,210,999.00
-GC: Giro'15,'16,18,19;TDF'16,'18,'20;Vuelta'16,'17,'18;Tirreno'16,Catalunya'16,'18,Suisse'16,Romandie'16, Vasco'19,Andes'16

Transfers May 2020

During May 2020 Liquigas-CND signed 2 young riders with good potential:
- Ettore Calvino Image 55-73-66-54-53-67pave-48reg. The price paid 1,811,999 while his value is 1,873,049;
- Ramiro Sotomayor Image 55-73-76-64-63-72.4pave-45reg. The price paid was 2,413,035 while his value is 2,415,864.

Calvino obviously will focus on mountain with the goal to reach 70+ mounain and 80+ flat.
Sotomayor...we will see. The pave skill makes the decision to focus either on flat or on mountain very difficult take.
-GC: Giro'15,'16,18,19;TDF'16,'18,'20;Vuelta'16,'17,'18;Tirreno'16,Catalunya'16,'18,Suisse'16,Romandie'16, Vasco'19,Andes'16

June-July 2020:

We had no intention to ride Dauphine or Suisse and until TDF the team only rode low category races winning 4 races : 2 cat1 and 1 cat2 and of course the National Championship of Italy. Finally we managed to win one of the top NC through Fabio Volpe!

Form of important riders Barrientos, Cattaneo, Volpe and Castaldelli was for the TDF stages from the end of June although we were not sure if the team will ride TDF...being online and focusing 2 hours per day, 21 days it's difficult for the team management.

Finally Beltran Barrientos (Peru) won the GC after a fight with Fabio Antinori (Italy) and brought to Liquigas-CND the 10th GT - record in RSF!
Barientos also won the stages 4 and 20(ITT).
Financially the team is very well I would say, making approx 2.1 overall in TDF.

What is next? Vuelta, of course! Beltran will try to bring 11th GT for Liquigas-CND team although obviously the excitement is not the same as in 2015-2018 period.

Transfers July-August 2020

Departures:
After 19 seasons and 273 races with us, Enrico Morricone decided to end his career in July 2020.

Arrivals:
In July 2020 the team managed to sign 2 riders that will join the team on 1st of August.
- Gustavo Molina Image 47-73-55-50-59-67.6pave-35reg. The price paid 1,281,000 while his initial value was 1,333,617;
- Matteo Manzoni Image 47-72-53-48-54-73.2pave-41reg. The price paid was 1,601,999 while his initial value was 1,588,484.
1st one will try to develop flat skills and 2nd one pave...ok...in RSF it's the same.

P.S. Hopefully we manage to sign the team's leader for Giro 2020 by the end of this month.
-GC: Giro'15,'16,18,19;TDF'16,'18,'20;Vuelta'16,'17,'18;Tirreno'16,Catalunya'16,'18,Suisse'16,Romandie'16, Vasco'19,Andes'16
-Stages won in GTs:57
