Some important points :
- For stage 3 seems LFR profile missing 3 km, and Giro website theyy announced 193km, LFR only 190
- stage 9 last GPM isn't at the topdue to the gpm-cobbles bug
- stage 11 white road longer is a sector and harder * are, but I never go higher than ***. I tried to made it like */*/*/*/**/**/**/**/***/***/***/*** for example for the longest sector
- Mintacts are to discuss
- A double (triple) check can be nice too

Excellent job, poke. You did 21 stages faster than I did 1 stage :D

But at least I can help with some double-check. Just a few details:

Stage 1: Looks perfect.

Stage 2: Looks perfect.

Stage 3:
- 190km is correct. Maybe they updated on Giro Website? Always makes sense to check later in April, by the way. RCS Sport likes to change the route in last minute...
- Castino and Manera both only category 4 climbs (not 3)
- According to LFR there is one small climb named "Occhetti" (0.5km @6.3%) at km 185. Maybe it can be a +3 here? Or even +4?

Stage 4:
- KOM of Colle Passerino is km 183.5 and finish at km 186.0, so 2.5km flat... Difficult to say on the map where exactly the finish line will be in Sestola... with 2.5km could be a reason to round upward to have 3km flat somehow instead of 2km... but 2km O.K. too. Except anybody knows for sure where they put the finish line :D

Stage 5: Looks perfect.

Stage 6: Looks perfect.

Stage 7:
- Last two kilometers you put +2 +1. LFR says there is 0.4km @4.3% at the end. On the map, looks to me like they are coming from the beach road (so altitude +0m basically), sharp turn right into a narrow road with city pavé (Street View) at km 179.6, then the +4.3% for 0.4km, they are at +27m, then a grind to +37m on the finish at m 181.1km. So as I think in real life that can be an opportunity for an attack or make a very chaotic sprint... I would maybe put +3* +1.

Stage 8:
- Finish may be +7 +7 +6 according to LFR (instead of +7 +7 +7)? But again just very small detail. Like above, you decide.

Stage 9:
- Oh damn, the gpm/cobble bug... big problem always... makes sense to solve it like you solved it.
- Finish is +5 +10* ? Here is the start of the gravel on Street View. Gravel sector is 1.3km. As in RSF +10* is basically the same as +10.... I would argue +5* +10**. Would still not make a huge difference probably... but should be less of a very clear climber win in RSF and real life. Flat/Pavé should count a little bit here. KOM then before the +5 even?

So far for week 1... I will check week 2 and week 3 later, hopefully.

Usually they will have more info on the Giro site a bit later, profile of the climbs (usually precise IMO) and possibly the last kms (don't remember if that's only for MSR or the Giro too) so will make sense to check all again in a week too!

WEEK 2

Stage 10:
- Mintact km100 maybe an error? I think before the climb (km95) or much later (km120) makese more sense?

Stage 11:
- This stage is going to be FANTASTIC (so I looked a bit into the details)
- I like how you did the white road. Probably more realistic than Strade Bianche (I have it on my To-Do List for 2022.)
- Mintact km162 is an error I think? :D
- In addition, I tried to look at each sector for specific difficulties. Remember how on Strade Bianche there are sometimes small, difficult sectors or small steep climbs. If there is something difficult, can increase the *... but yes, more than *** would be unrealistic for sure.
- On sector 2, I looked at the climb to Castiglione del Bosco (km112-115). The switchbacks look really tough on Street View, so perhaps can do ** instead of * on the climb, especially as you have to leave the gpm-km without * because of the gpm/cobble bug...
- On sector 2, the Passo del Lumo again doesn't really look like *** on Street View, more like **... but ok, again gpm/cobble bug so you have +5*** +5 (GPM).... I think I'd be for +5** +5** +2 (GPM)... as you did on stage 9, you can move the GPM here as well.
- On sector 3, LFR has 1.0km @+6.4% in the middle of the sector. You have "only" +4*, looking at Street View, I think it is indeed more like +5** or even +6** at this km.
- On sector 4, LFR has 1.2km @+6.7% at the beginning of the sector. You have a +7 there, but BEFORE the sector. I think it is ON the sector. There is no street view for this, but a Google Picture and you can see the white road. So I think it should be +7* at the start of the sector.

Stage 12:
- Mintact km149... looks early, but OK for me.

Stage 13: Looks perfect.

Stage 14:
- Somebody can check the Zoncolan percentages, or wait until Giro has them officially on website.

Stage 15: Looks perfect.

WEEK 3

Stage 16:
- Mintact km187, is that on the Giau? Perhaps a few km earlier better?

Stage 17: Looks perfect.

Stage 18:
- Cicognola according to LFR 1.4km @7.5%. You have +2 +7. Canneto Pavese according to LFR 2.6km @5.7%. You have +3 +6 +6. Both OK, but maybe worth checking Giro website later again, as I have no idea on the details.

Stage 19:
- 1km missing vs. Giro page (175 vs. 176)... no big problem.

Stage 20:
- 1km missing vs. Giro page (164 vs. 165)... no big problem.

Stage 21: Looks perfect.

So, poke, with all the small details. You design. You decide.

Haven't looked at the detail of the strade bianche stage, but have to say I'm not a fan of going until ***.
Yes, the system we have for Strade Bianche (the classic) is too easy, needs to be made harder somehow. But going until 3? It really penalizes the climbers, especially if some of the *** are in the flat. And in reality they aren't necessarily penalized. Don't remember all the real strade bianche stages in reality, just the first one... which was pretty wild, but due to rain, crashes and stuff too. Ok, the *** simulates that in another way, but still. My biggest problem really is that a guy with 56 pavé risks losing a really big bunch of time vs a guy with 58 pavé here, making it easier to make this stage potentially more decisive than your average mountain stage. Not sure how good others are in pavé, but with his flat I think my leader Eiffel probably does ok, so before the usual suspects derail this thread, let's get this "argument" out of the way.

But ok, haven't looked at how exactly it is right now, and let you 2 decide finally, just my opinion..

There is some more details on Giro website so I am doing some modification :
- stage 8 final now is 3/8/7/6
- stage 9 final 1/5/7/5/4/9* + modification on Ovindoli too
- stage 10 mintact change km 96 now
- stage 11. Mintact is km 91 sorry ! I redraw Casteglione del Bosco - Passo del Lume Spento.
About *** a part of me is agree with Donkey, and another think that some climbers hae some cobbles skill for that. For the moment I switch all white road on **
And to finish, I cut 1 km in the final
- stage 12 redraw and mintact km 190
- stage 14 redraw
- stage 16 redraw

On Strade Bianche no need to do what I say (ok, don't think you do), just my opinion. If now many come and say the *** is better that's ok too.

Anyway, I regard the PDF up now as final. (Unless Luques overrules me...)

Will start putting online today. Giro whenever Poke feels it's ready.

Other things: Dunkerque seems either cancelled or the usual not making the parcours public. Wait a bit longer or just put up the last edition we had?

Giro outtakes: IMO the real races, even if probably a bunch might still get cancelled, has priority. Then... how big is the interest in riding some Giro stages parallel for those that don't ride the Giro?

Last and biggest problem: Dauphiné: Parallel to the Giro, 2 editions. 22 is clear. Second time? Easiest is to ask here and ingame who is interested in riding it and at what time. So..... what time?

About the sprint point, GPM and IS what I find :

https://www.cyclingstage.com/giro-2021- ... ification/

The points in the Giro’s points competition are awarded at finishes and intermediate sprints. The amount of points varies with the kind of terrain of the particular stage. Most points are given in the flat stages, followed by medium mountain and high mountain stages. The lowest amount of points are awarded in the ITTs, obviously, because these don’t feature intermediate sprints.

The distribution of points is as follows:

Maximum amounts of points at the finish: 50 – 35 – 25 – 18 – 14 – 12 – 10 – 8 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1 (Flat)

Medium amount of points at the finish: 25 – 18 – 12 – 8 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1 (Middle Mountain)

Lowest amount of points at the finish: 15 – 12 – 9 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1 (Mountain + ITT)

The amount of points at the intermediate sprint for the maglia ciclamino (first of two sprints) is always the same: 12 – 8 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1

https://www.cyclingstage.com/giro-2021- ... ification/

The distribution of points in the KOM competition of the Giro d’Italia is as follows:

Cima Coppi: 50 – 30 – 20 – 14 – 10 – 6 – 4 – 2 – 1
1st category: 40 – 18 – 12 – 9 – 6 – 4 – 2 – 1
2nd category: 18 – 8 – 6 – 4 – 2 – 1
3rd category: 9 – 4 – 2 – 1
4th category: 3 – 2 – 1

The Cima Coppi is awarded on the highest point in the entire route.

About bonifications, 10-6-4 second at the end of the stage and 3-2-1 second for the second IS.
