I like the idea, just one thing, as it seems to me that some of the stages are really long and can be more than 2 hours, maximum time allowed is 23 and not midnight.

P.S. at the moment looks like 14-18-21-23
My thoughts so far: The reactions are not representative at all so far. Of course, you could say that the other haven't reacted and it's their own fault. but still, it's the main tour in November, with not much attractive side stuff (only one parallel tour planned so far). And participation in the forum has always been very low. Hence I would offer all 5 main times (morning, afternoon, evening, night, late night), and just take the poll as a decision when exactly the times will be set (f.e. 13,14,15, or 16 in the afternoon, 8,9,10 in the morning, etc.). I would rather have only 2 to 3 times for the parallel tour and 3 (when both tours take place) to 4 times for the one day races...

Anyway, good that you are spreading the word about the poll. Maybe also in the official news? And if nobody pleads for a morning time eventually, then I think your proposal could be the right one :).
Yep, surely explained myself badly. Times I wrote are just the most popular for the moment, 5 editions would be good but we still have a parallel tour, so need to be careful and hope numbers don't drop too much during off season.

In a future we can make this standard, maybe just allowing one top hour that gets 1 point, two ok hour that get 0.5. At the end who gets most of the points gets the tour.

The only fear I have, is that then tours are played always at the same time and that it is not representative of the will of everybody (but just forum users).

Standard:
Don't know, I thought do it here because:
- Possibly only 4 editions is better. We had 5 last year... but had 4 in the preceding years, here to see how popular it is, how much feedback.
- It's a special tour, specialized and long, unique. GTs are more important of course, but since there are 3, you can juggle with the times over a year, if the Giro 15h, then the Tour 14h etc. Or the 22h problem, a good time that deserves at least 1 GT. Maybe somebody can't on one of these times, but then well, tough luck, he can at least ride the other main GT. For the Andes there is no "other". And to maximize participation, do this here.

So as standard, as you said we might then end up with Giro+Tour+Vuelta at the same times. So would be always the same people left out. Not good I think.
And the standard as only 1 top time, why? Sort of contra-productive, if somebody has no problem, no preference between 2, 3, even 4 times, why force him to chose 1 over the others?

So don't think makes sense having this as standard. On the other hand an early season ingame poll would make sense., What times are your preferred times for GTs. Then chose top times (multiple) and ok times. Plus how many of the GTs you plan to ride anyway. That might be useful, but then not take the top times for all 3, but again, keep changing the times for the 3 GTs, but while looking at the answers. If there is a big overlap between 22-23-24 for example, we might try one GT without 23-24,, if there is a big overlap between 19-20-21, we can group those 3 together, if 19 the overlap is bigger with 18, rather there, etc etc.

Anyway, keep answering.

9:00 a.m. would be perfect.
10:00 a.m. would be fine, too.
With best regards

At the moment it seems clear to me that times are:

9 - 14 - 18 - 20 - 22 right?

Only unhappy would be Coro and Poke but both had 22 as ok time.

Could be 9 - 14 - 18 - 21 - 23 as well, right? Would give the late teams a chance, too. Probably both works.

Hard imo to put a 23. The only two are Poke and Coro. Poke has also 22 and 21 as ok time, considering that at least half of the stages are around 2 hours, guess could be a bit too late for many.

I am affraid there is one time too much. Maybe you can cut 20h and keep 9-14-18/19-22

Unfortunately seems you are right considering the number of players. 4 editions are enough.

To facilitate the decision for the times, let's try this: everybody that thinks he'll ride the Andes, writes the times that are ok here. Ideally Luques will post a notice ingame (if he survived the WC of course). If separate thread is better, still can do that.
Ah, they will start the 10th Nov.

How:
Top times:
Ok times:
Obviously more than one is ok.

27th September. Everybody had basically 1 month to write down their preferences.

Luques put up the PDF on the 21st evening. He got 0 comments on times. Yes, 4 days is rather short, but considering that this thread has been here, AND mentioned countless times ingame, it's enough. Those that wanted it 20/21/23/24 didn't feel the need to participate... so this 9-14-19-22 seemed the best solution considering the answers here.
