Post by luques » Sun May 19, 2013 11:15 pm

Hi all!

These are some of my races, some are real, some are half real half fantasy and some are all fantasy.

The first race is in Italy, Lombardia, from Villa Reale (Monza) near the circuit to the final climb to the church of Montevecchia, hope you will enjoy i do that so many times :D

Image

Next days probably there will be two new races, one with Zoncolan and Crostis, the others in the pre-alps of Lombardia.

Good Race to all!

Gp di Parma, beginning flat and after two mountains, tough but short, there are 30km from the last mountain to the arrival so it will be not for climbers, probably for classic but who knows?

Image

Another Hilly Mountain stage, for sure not for sprinters, the last climb is at 5km to the end a 2km climb (5-8), i guess this is something for climbers.
Mintact at km 150

A new tour called Sulle Orme di Giotto, we will revisit all the places where Giotto lived and painted his masterpieces.

First Stage Vicchio - Firenze

Image

We start from Vicchio, the birthplace of Giotto.
Here you can still find his home, a old house built during the medioevo,

From Vicchio we go through four uphills, the first located in the small city of Gattaia, dirty roads and a GPM of 4cat.
After this Monte Carzolano, the most tough mountain of the stage is a GPM of 1st cat, the last 4 % are 7-7-5-8, then after a long downhill we arrive to Bibbiana 3rd cat (6-6-7-6) GPM, to arrive at the end at the last GPM of the day, Passo della Futa 2nd cat.

Then the road will be all downhill till the end in Florence, with a sprint intermediate located in Pontassieve, about 20kms before of the finish.
In Florence Giotto painted (probably) his first independent opera (independent from his master Cimabue), la Madonna col Bambino.

And here we go to the second stage, from Florence to Assisi, hilly end and a day for climbers

Image

We move from Florence where we arrived in the first day, and we pass three mountains, respectively Molino del Piano GPM cat3, short but tough, Passo della Consuma, 1st cat the most challenging of the day, and Falciano, 2nd cat. After Falciano riders will have the possibility to make a little break in the flat part (almost 90kms) before the final uphill in Assisi where Giotto made some beautiful paintings nella Basilica Superiore regarding the history of San Francesco

The third stage a circuit in Assisi, the city where Giotto surely gave his best, city famous for his paintings, that sadly were partially ruined during the earthquake of 1997.
The circuit is all up and down, a short stage 152km long, where it will be possible to make selection. Also early and mid escape can have chances here.

WINTER RACES

For a HOT winter, we move to the South of The Globe!

The first race is in Tanzania, race long 162km, there is a +7 at km70, all the rest is just between (-5 and +5), can be a sprinter race, but also some classic can have their magic moment

Image

Second race, the final is harder than expected, the climb is 2 2 6 6 7 6 5 8 after the downhill there is a 4 -4 1 7 -6 0 5 -6 7 -2 -5

Image

------------------------------

And now we go in Australia for the Melbourne - Kinglake race!
The race is 192km long, the first climb is not so difficult as it seems (4 0 1 3 5 6 4 4 6 5 0), the second has a difficult finish (1 2 2 2 2 2 3 7 7) last km is a -4!
After km 150, max is 5%

Image

--------------------------------

A race in Sri-Lanka, most for classic riders, the first uphill is not tough (max 5%), the second is more and siebable (5 9 7 9 8 5 0), at the end of the last mountain will miss 30kms!

Image

-----------------------------------------

Now in Papua New Guinea, tough race!
The beginning is a 4 4 8 5 6 3, the 3rd cat GPM is a 1 6 2 8. The end is open to different possibilities, some can try an early attack on the flat, the first part of the mountain is really tough but after it goes on flat.
From km134 starts the tough part, 10 8 4 8 8 9 5, after it goes on flat 3 3 1 1 3 1 4 4 6(!) 2 5 7(!) 0 3 -6 -13

Image

---------------------------------------

Circuit of Paarl, honestly this race should be more a MTB race, but who minds? I find it funny :)

The circuit is -2 4 2 6 -9 -4 2 -2 -4 -2 -1 3 6 -1 -5 1 1 5, very long race 216km!

Image

------------------------------------------------------

Swaziland! Reminds me a bit the Altopiano di Asiago, 2 laps, from Manzini to Mbabane to Manzini, difficult and short uphill (6 6 10 8 6 7), after it's all up and down!

Tour of the Battle of Mursa Maggiore, around Croatia. 2 stages flat, 2 a bit more challenging (but a sprint is highly possible) and one mountain arrival.

First Stage, easy flat and short 129km:

Image

Second Stage, another easy flat, in the last part some +1 / -1 but nothing serious:

Image

Third Stage, long min-tact 30km, at km120 there is a +7, after will be missing 27km... it's a good occasion to sieb some sprinters.

Image

Fourth stage, a climbers day! the last mountain is +1 +1 +5 +4 +7 +6 +9 +4 +5 +6 +6, the 2nd cat GPM has max 5%

Image

Fifth stage, We start with a short climb +8 +9 the first 2kms, after a good downhill and after another climb, the second climb has max 6%, so there is possibility to sieb but not that hard.

Uhm, when you tell about short stages are you speaking about one day races or tours? what is for you a good length? :)

Thanks for the feedback, i will try to improve for the next and especially for the Dec Tour ;)

I was just talking about this short tour.
Some stages are quite short, but why not. But then it's just my opinion that I find profiles not so interesting :D

Some New Zealand real races (a bit longer to fit rsf requirements :D )

Tour de Whitemans 2013, 10/11

Image

25km min-tact (the last lap), in reality it is 4x 25km or shorter, here i choose 200km, like the round numbers :D

Image

Made a circuit, in reality it is about 107km long, in RSF a bit more, almost flat race but some km siebable +6, the last one is at 39km from the end, very few 0 flat km, always a little up or a little down ;)

Image

Central part with 3-4 siebable km (max 9%!) then flat

Image

Big mountain, with dh finish but some -1 can take classics back!
