Deutschland (Germany) Tour

Post by Hunsrueck » Fri Jan 15, 2016 10:38 am

I think a country like Germany needs a Tour!
Since the last tour (Tour of Bavaria) has now also died, I would at least in the virtual world of RSF create a Deutschland (Germany) Tour.

What do you think about that? And what does the calendar Master Leso about?

Germany Tour in autumn/winter? But indeed, it doesn't seem to make much sense to have a 7-14 days long fantasy tour in the regular cycling season.
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

Okay. Lets have a look at the real tours in May 2016:

04.05. - 08.05.2016 Flèche du Sud (2.2, LUX)

04.05. - 08.05.2016 4 Jours de Dunkerque / Tour du Nord-pas-de-Calais (2.HC, FRA)

04.05. - 07.05.2016 International Tour de Banyuwangi Ijen (2.2, IND)

04.05. - 08.05.2016 Tour d'Azerbaïdjan (2.1, AZE)

06.05. - 29.05.2016 Giro d'Italia (2.UWT, ITA)

10.05. - 15.05.2016 Olympia's Tour (2.2U, NED)

12.05. - 15.05.2016 Rhône-Alpes Isère Tour (2.2, FRA)

13.05. - 15.05.2016 1º Volta Internacional Cova da Beira (2.1, POR)

13.05. - 16.05.2016 64. Tour de Berlin 2016 (2.2U, GER) !!! -> Tour in Germany ;)

13.05. - 15.05.2016 Tour de Picardie (2.1, FRA)

13.05. - 18.05.2016 Tour of Iran (Azarbaijan)

15.05. - 22.05.2016 Amgen Tour of California (2.HC, USA)

18.05. - 22.05.2016 Tour do Rio (2.2, BRA)

18.05. - 22.05.2016 Tour of Norway (2.HC, NOR)

18.05. - 22.05.2016 Bałtyk - Karkonosze Tour (2.2, POL)

19.05. - 22.05.2016 Ronde de l'Isard (2.2U, FRA)

20.05. - 22.05.2016 Paris-Arras Tour (2.2, FRA)

21.05. - 22.05.2016 World Ports Classic (2.1, SUI)

21.05. - 25.05.2016 Tour de Tunisie (2.2, TUN)

25.05. - 29.05.2016 Baloise Belgium Tour (2.HC, BEL)

27.05. - 29.05.2016 Tour de Gironde (2.2, FRA)

27.05. - 28.05.2016 Tour of Estonia (2.1, EST)

29.05. - 05.06.2016 Tour of Japan (2.1, JPN)

So we have lots of Tours in May already, with the Giro as the highlight. Parallel to the Bayern Tour (at least where it should have been in the calender) the Belgium Tour takes place. In 2015 there have been 7 tours going on in May (bold in the list): Giro, California, Bayern, Belgique, Dunkerque, Norway and WPC. So that still makes 6 Tours in 2016 and lots of others to chose from. I don't think that there is enough space for a long fantasy tour. But of course, it's not me to decide that :)

Leso can't change the weather manually ? If it is a fantasay I don't think it is problem to do that.

Anyway, if there is no space for a tour, you can at least create a lot of one day race if you want german races.

I think the end should be in Berlin, since there's only 6 days available..cutting stage 2 would have been better, but now it's too late Iguess.

And I think it shouldn't be ridden.
Kraftsystemrevision! Include the distance!
Basics reform: Give blue a chance!
Don't punish bugusers. We all have to use bugs, since most of them are declared as "features"!

Looks nice this tour just some additions ...:

Stage 5 - Its called Berchtesgaden not Bertechsgaden and theres nothing called Roßfeldpass - Its just Roßfeld. (Btw. Ahornkaser had very fine meals a few years ago :) ^^)

And just a question for interest: Bad Reichenhall to Berchtesgaden - I presume you took the normal route up to Rossfeld then back down und over Brandlkopf (part of the Kehlsteinstrasse) to Königsee then down left heading in the direction of Ramsau and back to Berchtesgaden over the Götschen?

Just asking cause this is my usual "rat run" from austria to munich, when theres waiting times on the border so i know this routes pretty good ^^
