Why is Arakan cut down to 11 stages?

Second place from the Dec tour Vote is never more then 11 Stages. It should be in the rules at the Dec Tour rules.

Trofeo Andratx

Can we try some starting times for Arakan, that we don’t do very often? Something like 8 or 12/13

Vlaamse Duinencross and the final stage of Arakan Tour have downhill pavé that could be problematic. Are there plans to change that?

Good suggestion, I would really appreciate something like that.
Maybe 8 a.m. is a bit early on the weekend, but I don't think it's a bad thing.

Can’t we just use all of them Tours?😂 I like these long tours and the work is already done…

Why not just using all of them in order from p1 to last? And leave them at full distance like they was planned…

About the starting times:

If there are enough managers that would start at a specific time it can be discussed. A bit late now for January. Better to discuss it when the calendar draft is published. 8 is not too weird could be set sometimes. 12/13 are more exotic but happens that some stage races get such spots as well (as 17:00).

About the tours:

Limited spots for fantasy stage races even less for long ones+its part of the competition that just the stage races with most votes are raced.

The idea behind 8+12 for example…
Morning is the time with most active teams.
Maybe this way we could have 2 starting times where we took some advantage of the „active time zone“

got 4 of the 5 Mallorca Challege races complete, last one doesn't match the name and region of Mallorca as the only remaining one of the series like it was the years before, but is clearly the replacement for it

do i use the old race event for this one and just rename it?

Maybe 8 a.m. is a bit early on the weekend, but I don't think it's a bad thing.
Generally, I try to switch times around, and I do not rule out 8 or 12/13. It's just a bit challenging with the current number of players where 4 editions is the maximum sensible for a tour. With more active players, we could have it more often.

January Tour is a good one to try things (cat 2), but maybe it's a bit long with 11 days. Would prefer to use 8 or 12/13 in shorter tours (up to 1 week) and see how many participants we have. Also, now it's too late unfortunately. Final PDF online already. But maybe we can find a tour in February to test this.

So, is it a general idea or are these times you would personally prefer? So you prefer 8 over 9? Or prefer 12/13 over morning/afternoon? The more people ask for a specific time, and say that they want to ride at that time, the more likely it will be included.

Good spot. Let's change it before we publish it. (Unless Alk/AAD worked on the pavé calculations again, which I don't think right now.)

Trofeo Alcudia, right? Yes, let's use the event tag to track the History, but give it the new name Trofeo Ses Salines-Felanitx for the race in 2024.

You'll have to show that the morning is the time with most active teams. The simple claim doesn't make it so.

As far as we know morning is most active when proposed at 9 and 10. 8 might be a problem for some conflicting with their working hours as well as 12 is with lunch break. For stage races with longer stages (Andes, GTs) most morning teams preferred 9h over 10 and we shifted a lot to 9h. But find enough guys to start at 8 there will be no problem to move a bigger tour there too

It’s just a feeling that I got in the half year now since I come back, that the morning time is the most popular time. Didn’t made any statistics or something 😅

Therefore it’s just an idea to try the 8-12 combination and see how it works out

No gpx found, so I had to draw it manually with a poor map and roadbook. I have an extra 3-4kms somewhere mid-race, but can't find where. I guess that does not change much. I did not have the time to adapt all climbs manually.

Ok as it is just a short lap, I redesigned it myself. With uploading the gpx file I have issues as well. So I just designed the circuit without gpx file. Not sure what is causing the problem though

Valenciana the only real race missing... Only profiles and roadbook on their website. No map, no gpx. So still waiting for that...
