Norway done. Didn't find anything about the different mountain categories so far, so I put them at Cat 3 for the time being
Also a question: Can we use Å, ø etc for stage name and as labels in the profile or does it create problems? Avoided using them so far because I remember it causing trouble in the past

Designing: Donks had visitors, animal lovers, then mysteriously for once busy working, will of course try not to make the second problem a habit, but that meant 0 time for designing. If there's anything left Donks should find time sometime next week... from Friday on basically. Ok, possibly Tuesday, but other things to catch up on as well.

With the current statements in this thread, looks like 9-14-19-22 but noone from the late evening spoke up so far. If there are multiple teams asking for 21 instead of 22, it can be done.

Final PDF to be published Tuesday normally.

Looking forward to a 15h Giro edition. For me it will fit better, only a opinion.

I'll go for the late GIRO. Slight preference for 10pm, but 9 is also fine.

Before you can "look forward" to anything in the afternoon make sure you joint the race thread: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=9451

;)
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

So still 9-14-19-22 the base case for the Giro.

Morning: 9 had many supporters here.

Afternoon: 14/15 had one supporter each (bergwerk, Dynamo). RKL and I with a small preference for 15h but we are regular afternoon guys, who will be there for both, so not enough to change it for the moment. If we had 3 vs 1 with strong preferences, might change, but only small preference for 2 of them. So after all, last year 15, this year 14 seems fair. Unless more people speak up for 15 today/tomorrow. Last call.

Early Evening: 19 had many supporters here

Late Evening: 21/22 had one supporters each (claw, bright) so again, last year 21, this year 22 seems fair. Unless more people speak up for 21 today/tomorrow. Last call.

If we have Giro 21 does that mean we have TDF 22 and Vuelta 21 ?

Not 100 % sure. It depends on the feedback from players and the number of active teams.

Feedback: If lots of players ask for 21 again, we can have 21 again.(This happens often for 9h in the morning.)

Number of active teams: If we grow more over the next 2 months, we can maybe have 5 editions for TDF or Vuelta and then the times can be different, so it could include 20 or 23 or both... again depending on what teams are asking for.

All of this is just an example, as currently it looks like Giro at 22 (!) anyway. So yes, it can be 22 again for TDF, if teams ask for it, or if we have 5 editions and 22 fits well into the 5 editions.

Hope this info helps.

Sorry, late reply.

Seems it works now even with special characters, as we did not have any bug caused by that for a long time. But I am not 100% sure, so better to keep avoiding it.

Would you like to try and create the race in the 'race editor'? I can also do it for you, but would be a good way to test this functionality ;)

Final PDF online. Only change really 9h for the Giro.

Races will be put online in the next few days, as long as they are designed.

Some stuff still missing. No Profiles for Giro stages 16-19 so far. Dunkerque missing, too. Info on Tro Bro Leon available on flamme rouge, too, but hoped for Big Donkey to give some guidance on that. The other one day races, I couldnt find any info so far.

Guidance.... still no time, but tomorrow should have. If not too tired. And not that much either actually, so "guidance".
Will rather see if designing a remaining Giro stage makes sense. And use my eagle eyes to find mistakes in the Giro stages....

Same deal as yesterday, plus used the rest of my energy up by criticizing the Giro.

Will do Tro Bonbon tomorrow, yes yes. (Not that it is that difficult, */** since it's gravel, use whatever la flamme rouge proposes, *=*, everything above =** , then adjust a bit for length, 1.6 km at ** can be * ** or ** *, 1.6 at **** maybe **, whatever. One year I looked a bit at pictures, came to a conclusion I've long since forgotten...

Anyway, will do it tomorrow.

What do you exactly mean, not more than 4 races next to the GIRO (to avoid too little fields)?
Whats about GIRO+Dunkerque, you mean there should then be a max of 2 one day race editions?

I tend to follow the idea of RKL, that the one day races are the backbone of the game, so 4 editions for those IMO is a minimum too. Everybody should be able to somehow ride a race per day within his prefered timeslot (ok sometimes some more expotic times, but on average). The additional stage races should be a extra and only be ridden when we have enough active managers. In the past 2 years we didn't race too much of these side stage races I think.

My proposal to put in one more exotic time for the parallel stage race got rejected. So probably for the GIRO+Dunquerque, GIRO+Norway periods, we will regularly have races starting at the same time, at least if it really works. For the other times, I set 4 times of one day races (fantasy) mostly.

Romandie has only 3 times and the day races parallel suffer already.

I agree with the backbone of the game stuff but 4 times are enough. We barely have enough teams for that tbh but it's important that everyone should get the chance to race once/day.

For side tours from the GTs I'd even say 2 times are enough but don't really care as we will get 3 team fields all the time there anyway.

Think this is uncontroversial and everybody would agree. So just a statement and nothing that you want changed for May, I assume. Agree with the statement anyways.

If you have an idea for how to attract more players, btw, everything is welcome.

If you want tours parallel to TdF and Vuelta, how about normal times for the GTs and one-day races and weird times for small tours
So 9/10, 14/15, 18/19/20, 20/21/22 for GTs and one day races and
12,, 16/17 for small tours
So also only 2 editions for small tours
Spelling mistakes are Special functions Like bugs that are functions of the game
