Proposed times for the moment 9-15-18-21 Of course open to change. That's why previews are posted....

Then, before the Vuelta either Burgos or Arctic , 3-7 or 5-8. We'll see which version Luques choses. Here too preferences obviously ok.

Parallel to the Vuelta:
1) Pologne: 09-15th. So 2 days parallel
2) Benelux, (BinckBank). 30. to forgot when, sometime in September

So 2 WT stage races parallel, think riding both better Times no good solution, right now the proposal to Luques is just 2 times each: 9-19 and 14-22. (Of course if Vuelta times are adapted, then here too) Probably the evening could support both, but somehow can't find a system where then it makes sense. 9-17-20 +14-22 maybe best then. Here too, time and number of editions open to change.

Classics, Hamburg, Brussel, Bretagne, all 9-14-19-22.

Maybe worth thinking about riding Poland 2 days earlier? Not ideal at all.... but parallel stage races just really difficult at the moment... evening, yes, can work if you are lucky, all other times already struggle with one stage race to be honest... mh, realizing it would clash with Burgos then... grrr... So very difficult to solve this one, maybe only Poland 1 edition in the evening except morning/afternoon people speak up that they really want it?

BinckBank is ok. Flat short stage race vs. Long mountainous Vuelta should attract different kinds of teams.

Vuelta evening 18-21... mmmh... to me seems that later is better. Giro was 18-21 with participation of 8 and 15. TDF was 19-22 with participation 10 and 13. You can argue small difference, but to me seems more balanced like this. If you want to have something different (as TDF was 19-22) could go for 19-21 or 20-22 in my point of view.

Regarding Vuelta I would also prefer the 19 - 22h again. Hope for good participation again. 10+ teams should always be the goal.

Vuelta 19-22 should be no problem. Idea was change from TdF so not to have the same twice in a row. But since 18-21 was for the Giro doesn't matter, IMO the important thing is that 21 gets at least one GT. And got the most important one this year, so 19-22 no problem. For the moment seems more popular. (If now others that prefer 21 show up might change again)

Classics then all 18-21 in that case.

As for Poland and Benelux.... making the perfect line for Poland, I'm opposed as usual..... especially since as Gipfel himself said it would then clash with Burgos.

So for the moment I still see 2 each, as the best solution. Or the least bad solution. 9-18/14-21

I would like to ride Vuelta at 21h. If 22, usually a little too late on the long stages for me... With short mintact maybe ok.
Otherwise I have to move to the morning again. Okay, but big evening fields are also a lot of fun.

Starting Arctic: Stage 2 just adapted the GPM, seems all cat 2 this year. Otherwise profile from Gip from 2020. Same for stage 3, just changing the GPM cat
Stage 4 they seem to go higher on the early climb, otherwise basically the same again, will do that tomorrow or so.

Was just going to announce that I would regard the PDF as finalized soon... but now a second 9am

Ok ok. thought 10am because somehow 3 times the same time... it might be worse for someone after all. Only 1 pro 9 was not enough I thought, but now 2, ok, 9 it will be. Unless there's somebody coming out of the woods for 10 now. Btw, it's not forbidden to say something earlier too.

Arctic 19-21 a bit strange but it's Arctic so no need to change since that's what was in the PDF.

But now you changed not only 10 to 9, but also 19-22 to 18-21 in the preview....that should have stayed at 19-22

Now with Pavé, double Muur-Bosberg combination, then twice 2 km on pavé. The question there, is it ** or *? Looked at it and to me looked... in between? More 2 than 1? Finally decided to have the first one, Brabantsebaan as ** ** and the second one, Rosweg as * *
Haven't looked at pavé since April or so I guess, so not too sure anymore.. .Opinions?

Druivenkoers Overijse some pavé too, but there so short it's a clear * Part of the WC course, if somebody else designs that, look at Druivenkoers too, but can change, no problem. The second cobble stone sector they announce on la flamme rouge doesn't exist IMO, that road is paved. Not nicely, narrow, looks the last time they repaired it was in 1960 or so, but no cobble stones

Last, Zottegem, found that today, overlooked it before, so put in on the 17th. Not in preview.

Does the pavé has serious implications in the RL race? if yes, put the second part ** too, if not (that's what I think), leave it at *, in my humble opinion.

I have no idea......

But would say probably not, unlike here in real life 4 km of pavé, siebable pavé, don't eliminate a lot of the sprinters. The road is rather narrow, that makes it more selective in real life of course, opening gaps, you're behind, then hard to come back. But doubt sprinters, if there, will be dropped, they will ride close to the front.

I mean, of course the race would be more intersting with more selective pavé, but the spirit of the race - if such a thing even exists - should be respected. I guess?
