We're early this month... but the Donkey would like to see it finalized around the 20st... He'll go on holiday after, so won't put anything online after the 23rd. So criticism and complaints as early as possible! And if somebody feels like designing one of the real races, even better.

First criticism by the Donkey. 18 Down Under AND the parallel, even if only one day, San Juan 18 clearly is rather idiotic...

Maybe start san juan 1 day later? So we have enough teams partizipating? Or down under 1 day earlier?

Both San Juan and 4 Ciudadas at 9am in morning ?
If San Juan and Down under are moved in order to make it possible to ride both; why not add an afternoon time for Down Under ?

On the first page on radsportfreaks.de it says:

Day after day
all the cycling calendar !

I like this principle and we should stick to it for all real races, I believe. Moreover, it helps one-day races participation a bit. Think that's better for those players who cannot often ride tours. Would be unfair if they always have low participation just because everyone else is riding tours which are not even on the real dates.

Tour Down Under maybe 4 editions is enough then.

Yep, Real Tours should be in the calendar with Same date as in rl. So teams should choose which to ride.. And in doing that change San Juan From 18h to 19h imo. Gives alternatives etc.

We won't have enough players to have TDU + San Juan, or maybe we can try it with no fantasy races in // ?

I have the same fear as pokemon that we will have down under and san juan with some editions with arond 3 teams maybe we should start thinking about change date a little not like riding in another month but maybe 1 day or 2.

And no fantasy races next to the tours is also bad because many teams cant ride tours.

I am a bit disagree with that, some can sign in a tour even if they aren't online each days. OK some can be online each days but not always at the same time after so...

Down Under Classic has the same profile as last year.
Finished the design of DU 2020.

San Juan?
I'm always (or in 98% of cases)against changing dates of real races, can't have all, make choices. So for me changing the date of San Juan is the third best option. Both like it is now, or no San Juan at all IMO are clearly better options. ... but we'll see, lots of people want that change, and Luques says that's the way to go, then that's the way to go. I'll campaign against it anyway
Down Under down to 4... possible. Both 5 and 4 seem somehow ok, we'll see.

Anyway, I passed the hot potato about San Juan and how many editions for DU to Luques, expect his decision soon :D

Other thing: Fantasy 4 day tour in early January. Anybody knows a relatively balanced (meaning not 4 stages for the same type) 4 day tour that hasn't been used yet? The tool to find tours is a mess (1 day races much better) and probably buggy....under new tours it simply shows me tours of the last 2 years or something like that, regardless if they have been ridden or not, so unless I know what I'm looking for (as in tour name or to a much lesser degree designer) it's a pain in the ass to find anything. So... anybody remembers a 4 day tour? 5 days no good, we want 4 this time.
If nothing turns up, I'll use this one:
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=109&start=50#p103829

But if possible another one would be better, we don't need the torture of having 2 RKL tours in a row.....

Comoros and Chiang both balanced and interesting. Chiang maybe a bit more in favor of climbers. Did we have a lot for climbers recently? Yes, feels a bit like that after Andes and Philippines. Christmas Tour and 4 ciudades also more for climbers (well, depends if and which stage Roby cuts...). But no matter, we did not have much for sprinters, of which we don't have enough in the game anyway... So I tend to prefer Comoros. But Chiang also well designed, so both O. K.

I wanted to start designing SanJuan, but it seems that 2020 profiles are not online yet.

Decided to risk, San Juan and TDU have always been in parallel, so it will be also this time with hours reduced overall.

I count also in some people getting back for the real season, let's see.
Would say a couple of days for discussion and then finalize so that the Donkey can put everything online before holidays!

Mayber:

Down under: 9-15-20
San Juan 12-18-23

What do you think?

That plan risks an empty January calendar :D

So, any great objections to the early calendar? 4 ciudades, and parallel stuff? Then I won't wait the couple of days (with the risk of extension...) to put stuff until 15-20th or so online...

Hansa: 3+3, hmm... Down Under is more important, so IMO should have more than San Juan. Even if 3+3 would be easy.

Imo everything until 20 January can already be inserted, didn't see any complain.

I don't get why you absolutely want San Juan // TDU with there is so few people in the game. We should stop to hope that people will come and be active by some magic effect when they won't just because it is the start of the season. About San Juan and TDU, I am against because we won' increased the number of participant of tours like that, we just split it and so have smaller fields

Than tske the 5 most popular times and split it for 3 downunder and 2 san juan. Then the people can decide themself which the want to ride.

Or like i already mentioned dont make them parallel we are not enough teams for parallel tours.

Agree.

1.) Better to kill San Juan because of low participation.
2.) Which 4-day tour at beginning of January?
3.) Which stage of 4 ciudades will be eliminated?

I apologize if I missed 2.) and 3.) but may be relevant for form settings.

Kill San Juan, Kill San Juan!!!!

2 and 3 relevant for form settings, but since it will be online today... or at the latest tomorrow, since I managed to waste lots of time today and not sure I put it on... .just look there!
