Single races, no big changes from last year.

As for tours, just inserted the most important ones (HC or higher), probably there is a space for Sarthe and for Yorkshire or Asturias. 5 Editions for monuments and UWT races

Camembert changed from cat. 3 to cat. 2 -> intentionally?
I didn't mean to say it. But I meant what I said.

I designed Tour of the alps already. Just have to do the altimetre-correction. Will post it as soon as possible.

this (I hope at least) should be La Rioja

also there is GP Adria Mobil 1.2 on April 2th

In the preview PAis Vasco overlaps with PR. Not in reality.

True, don't know why I was convinced of the opposite. Now it's ok.

Not intentionally. But now that I saw this, should Camembert be cat 3? And if yes, should also be cat 3 Limburg, Rioja, Indurain, Bro Leon and Finistere (or some of these)? GP Indurain for example is old too and can count on a good start list compared to Camembert.

I just wondered why it has been downgraded. I can't give you a decent answer to your question though, because I don't know much about the prestige of these races. According to the UCI, all those races have the same category, but then again, why was it different during the last years at C4F?.

No idea about these cat 2-3 right now, will study it.

But IMO Brabant deserves to be cat 4. Look at the victors list, the start list in the past years. Both is very good. It was cat 4 for 2 years at RSF, then downgraded again... can't remember why upgraded then downgraded though...

Check for tunnels!
Right now at Catalunya, stage 3, at km 93 we have a +13 followed by a -10. Before and after mostly flat, slightly up. I'm 99% sure it's a tunnel, which we don't take at RSF. Will check at km 93 to see if I'm right...Ah, pretty much sure I already found it, there is a km coming where the km point is right in the middle of a tunnel, must be that.

Suspicious stuff like this, high plus followed by high minus: Always double check!

I'm sure you are right. Problem was I designed this while playing RSF and then finished all the stages veeery fast so that it could be in the calendar asap. didn't check properly.
Only today I saw these 2 "strange" kms.

In my opinion too few tours and all mountain tours.
Non my personal problem because I have a nice climber, but I think would be nice put 1-2 tour more of category UCI 2.1 just to make different tour for who doesn't like mountain or North Europe classics.
I find website of Yorkshier, La Sartre and Croatia (just with a link in UCI road calendar).

In my opinion also too much "classic" races. These highly uninteresting cat 5 or cat 6 races... We don't need them at all. Let's skip them and put some 1.2 races instead.

March and April are the best months and more easy to read calendar. Everyone knows that in recent months there are classical and there are certain Cat.4 Tour who always have their own characteristics. My opinion is that at least the first divisions of the team should get to this point in the season, or being able to compete for these important tour or classic. If there is an increase in playing teams you could be added the minor Tour only for these. But that's just my opinion.

Cats, let's talk about cats.

My wife likes them, more than Donkeys, which I find somewhat worrisome, but that's life I guess. She even watches some cat live stream on youtube sometimes. She never watches the Donkey playing RSF.

As for categories, here is the deep Donkey thoughts:

First on the second, why not have Rioja there? As cat 2? It's ridden on that day in reality, why change?

Then: First Brabant. Schelde and Denain. All HC in reality, at RSF 3-4-2. Schelde clearly a 4 for me. Agreed. Brabant as I said IMO should be one too, the participation has been good for a long time now, the winners too. The problem is that we risk having too many classics then maybe sooner or later. For me Brabant more deserving of cat 4 than DDV, but ok. In the end here3 or 4 ok.. Denain at 2, the participation and winners to me seem cat 2. But it being 1.HC for the UCI maybe a 3 could be defendable?

Paris-Camembert: cat 3 compared to other 1.1 that are cat 2 not really deserved.
Age: Yes, old, that's probably the reason it was cat 3 to start with. Participation and winners: much less impressive.
Participation IMO Indurain would deserve cat 3, but should be raced on the real date, Saturday, instead of Limburg.
PC more of a 2 but history bla bla, 3 maybe ok (but not really and ONLY if Indurain gets 3 too)

Not too helpful, eh?
