April 10

Post by Robyklebt » Wed Mar 10, 2010 9:02 am

Think there will be separate threads for some of the important races, rest here.

Pais Vasco: http://vueltapaisvasco.diariovasco.com/ already online. Anybody wants to do it?
Turkey: Not necessary Leso said, if designed max 2 times. http://www.tourofturkey.org/Home# online too, ok, time table not yet, but a cool video with cool music is there.
Castilla y Leon: http://www.vueltacastillayleon.com/portal/inicio.php Nothing online yet.
Trentino: http://www.girodeltrentino.com/ Stages are out, but not the details yet. Official presentation April the 12th.
Romandie: http://www.tourderomandie.ch/ No details yet as well.

Anyway, Pais Vasco is there already, if somebody wants, just post that you are designing and start...

Vuelta al País Vasco

I designed the stage with tracks4bikers. The climbs (all I found), I checked with http://www.altimetrias.net/default.asp. (Thanks to Roby!!!)

Stage 1: Zierbana - Zierbana (152 Km.)

Image

saved as "2010vasco01"

Alto de Cobaron: 2/6/-2/5 Summit on km31 (Rutómetro - 30,7km)
Alto de Humaran: 5/4/5/4 Summit on km73 (Rutómetro - 71km)
Alto de la Reineta: 5/1/9/3/7/6/3/3/3 Summit on km96 (Rutómetro - 94km)
PETRONOR (Sprint): at -5 on the right km, maybe we put it one km ahead, then it would be on a 0%km??
Alto Las Calizas: 6/-1/10/2/7/10 Summit on km132 (Rutómetro - 133km)

60s on km118

The km of the climbs are not all like the official presentation but I think it must be right how I designed it now. Should be a "semi mountain stage" I think?!?

For a better overview I didn't put in the names of all Sprints. I think the climbs are more important and the chance to read the names well must be given.

Weather would be "spring south europe"

Stage 2: Zierbana - Viana (209 Km.)

Image

saved as "2010vasco02"

Alto de Humaran(different side): 3/1/3/6 Summit on km20 (Rutómetro - 20km)
Alto de San Cosme: 5/7/3 Summit on km 28 (Rutómetro - 28km)
Alto de La Barrerilla: 2/6/7/6/6/6 Summit on km67 (Rutómetro - 67km)
BERNEDO (Sprint): on km138 (-1) (Rutómetro - 141km)
Alto de La Aldea: 4/6/7/8/6 Summit on km143 (Rutómetro - 146km)
Alto de Aguilar de Codes: 3/4/4 Summit on km155 (Rutómetro - 158km)
Viana (Sprint): km172 (Rutómetro - 172km)
Torres del Rio (Sprint): km190 (Rutómetro - 190km)
Alto de Bargota: 2/6/4/3/-1/2 Summit on km201 (Rutómetro - 201km)

60s on km 183/ "semi mountain stage"

Stage 3: Viana - Amurrio (187 Km.)

Image

saved as "2010vasco03"

Alto de La Aldea: 2/3/3/5/7/5/1/3/5/6/5/6/2 Summit on km22 (Rutómetro - 22km)
Alto de Azazeta: 2/3/4/3/3/5/3 Summit on km62 (Rutómetro - 62km)
Alto de Zarate: 5/3/1/5 Summit on km120 (Rutómetro - 120km)
Alto de Mendeika: 2/4/7/6/-5/-3/6 Summit on km171 (Rutómetro - 171km)

60s on km160/ "semi mountain stage"

Stage 4: Murguia Zuia - Eibar (Arrate) (166 Km.)

Image

saved as "2010vasco04"

ALTO DE MIOTA: 2/4/2/3 Summit on km56 (Rutómetro - 56km)
ALTO DE KANPAZAR: 4/6/6/5/4 Summit on km66 (Rutómetro - 66km)
ALTO DE KARABIETA: 6/5/8/8/10/3/3 Summit on km101 (Rutómetro - 101km)
ALTO DE MIOTA: 3/3 Summit on km111 (Rutómetro - 111km)
ALTO DE AREITIO: 2/4/6/3 Summit on km118 (Rutómetro - 118km)
ALTO DE IXUA: 4/7/10/10/10 Summit on km130 (Rutómetro - 130km)
ALTO SAN MIGUEL: 6/3/5/5/5/2 Summit on km145 (Rutómetro - 145km)
ALTO DE UZARTZA: 5/2/10/11/10/4/2 (last 2km to finish: -5/-1) Summit on km164 (Rutómetro - 164km)
M.V. ETXEBARRIA: on km139 because km140 is already in the ascent
M.V. Eibar: on km157 - not 158 because of the climb, change that??

60s on km125/ "HC mountain stage"

The Alto de Uzartza was in this tour last year, but I think on the other road up to EIBAR-ARRATE. I designed the way like it was in the presentation. So this years summit finish is a bit different to the 2009 version. Roby, do you agree?

Stage 5: Eibar - Orio (170 Km.)

Image

saved as "2010vasco05"

ALTO DE ITZIAR: 6/4/4/4/2 Summit on km24 (Rutómetro - 24km)
ALTO DE SANTA AGUEDA: 3/8/7/9/4/4/9/4/8 Summit on km59 (Rutómetro - 59km)
ALTO DE MEAGAS: 6/5 Summit on km98 (Rutómetro - 98,7km)
VENTAS DE ORIO: 7/7/5/7/5/2 Summit on km16 (Rutómetro - 116km)
ALTO DE AIA: 4/12/5/6 Summit on km152 (Rutómetro - 152km)
ALTO DE AIA: 6/11 Summit on km156 (Rutómetro - 156km)

the final: 1/1/7/-7 (would be nice if some can checke the last km after the downhill from aia, must be this way but I am not 100% sure)

60s on km137/ "semi mountain stage"

Stage 6: Orio - Aia - Orio C.R.I. (22 Km.)

Image

saved as "2010vasco06"

I have finished all stages now. Let me know if something is wrong or not good designed.

Don't know, haven't looked at it yet

But what I know is: Ixua and Uzartza are the same at the bottom, the road splits somewhere in the upper half...bah... I'll check.

http://www.altimetrias.net/aspbk/verPuerto.asp?id=302

So very near the top. But remember having trouble with that thing last year.. think rutometro, altimetrias and google earth just didn't agree on anything... plus since it doesn't go to the same top the km kind of where different places too, one is longer than the other, one is higher, one is steeper and wää, don't remember what I finally did, all a big mess and my head almost exploded... Leave me alone with that thing, wäääääää. Perfect, I'm sure it's perfect! Can I go now?

Edit: Oh I'm back... one of the problems was that the bottom is in a different place than on the altimetria profile I think.. .but whatever, good job, Ixua, Uzartza, love them, fantastic, you do it every year from now on! Bye!

Details of Castilla Leon http://www.steephill.tv/vuelta-castilla-y-leon/ are on. Who wants to design? Take these link or the link at the top which Roby posted.

Edit: Wrong Trentino link is out. ;)

Vuelta a la Rioja, takes place at the 25th
maybe it can replace the Tunis-race, or whatever

Brabant and Cerami!

Brabant we should have it from 09, was in march then, not sure if something changed in the course. Let's assume it didn't, then we can just take the 09 course.
Cerami wasn't in the calendar 09 (real and RSF) but seems to be back. But needs to be designed. Roby tried today, but... sorry, was lost after 10 Km and had no clue where to continue.... somebody else more talented maybe can try.

27th? I'm against adding things on the 27th, there is the subida al Naranco, which I'll design... soon.. tomorrow, no, friday maybe...

25th: Right now the D5+6 race is Nord Holland. I think would be better to use Appennino or Rioja for that. They are more similar to LBL. Can't ride LBL, better to let them ride something at least a bit similar and not Noord Holland...
-Appennino not online yet, but the course from 09 should be more or less ok. It was cat 3 last year (not sure if that's ok or should be cat 2, for ones I don't go and check.... ) too important for D5+6? No, don't think so, it's on the same day as LBL, in reality Cunego etc. will ride LBL too, there might be one or 2 big names from big italian teams, but for the rest, no. strong italian peloton, but not world class. See no problem having the same here, give it to D5-6
- Rioja, if leso thinks Appennino too important... bah, ok, stop thinking, just do what Roby says, much better.. never works, ok, then better Rioja than Noord Holland...it's just more similar to LBL than a completely flat race.

OK, possible too to make it 2/2, 2 Appennino, 2 Rioja, even better, then D5-6 has the choice! And we follow reality closer, since I'm still not a big friend of the rearranging of races..Or 2/2/2.... add Noord Holland, just realized that if it's not on the 25th I risk having to ride that... brrr

Too much races at the end of April
We must find a solution later. specially for the 25th. Ap

I program Brabant for the 14th and if I get Cerami the next days I´ll try to insert it but maybe it will be too late.

Naranco 27th. OK

Little problem for Brabant it seems. Whoever told you to just take the 09 version is an idiot (he even used the wrong thread it seems would have made more sense in the main thread). According to iBan they changed the course for Brabant..haven't checked yet, but if iBan says it, it's usually true.

Bah... will see if that one is easy enough for me to design..

Anyway: Roby designing:

- Brabant
- Naranco

If somebody really wants to do one of these 2 races though, no problem.... just write it here! Will not start immediately anyway... more like in 2 hours..

saved under brabant10 (like the old version but for once I was too lazy to think of a new name plus I hope you have the 09 version that is there now saved under something else too..

Image

Pavé there too, iBan said just put *, that's what I did. Hope is more or less ok, not really a belgium specialist...
